  1. This may sound weird but it helps me to work out when I watch the show...something about the high energy and music just keeps me motivated...I can work out just fine any other time but it's kinda fun to do it while Raw and to a lesser extent SD!...I'll still put on DVDs and tapes too...and yeah there's always that chance that I'll miss something cool but I'm also addicted to the backstory of prowrestling...before I saw Bret's movie and started reading these net sites I had no idea that my wrestling heroes were all(not all of course) a bunch of drug addicts, heavy drinkers and backstage politicians. It still amazes me and I can never get enough of shoots and backstage dirt.
  2. That is what I meant...no they may not be losing money(partly because they're the ony game in town) but creatively they are in the toilet with SD! and Raw just isn't consistently good and they keep blowing storylines....
  3. I wish they would do something with Charlie Haas...I was pissed when TWGTT was split up and even though Sheltons got the IC belt(until Maven takes it from him) I would still rather see them together as opposed to what Haas is doing now...they've got him stuck with F'n Holly and he keeps losing! I can't stand watching them ruin these guys who could actually go out there and put on great matches. Cena is stale right now but I don't see him losing the US title anytime soon so why not give him a fresh opponent like Haas who can help carry Cena...they could have a great feud..and then give Haas the belt so that Cena can get the strap from JBL at Mania although I think that there's no time to do it right but with the WWE they don't care about time so who knows...but at this rate Haas will never be anything more than a jobber
  4. Man why the fuck do they keep jobbing out Haas....I nean it's bad enough they've got him with Holly but they make him lose? WTF!? Haas should be challenging Cena right now and putting on *** star matches with him at least. Haas can go with just about anybody on the roster and they've stuck him waaaay down the card. WWE is bullshit and SD! is f'n WCW 2000....that's why I read these spoilers again cause the show freakin sucks.......
  5. Don't risk it my friend...I think that all of the string tributes are for the most part gonna be okay in the novelty sense...not something you'd listen to a lot but maybe a few times...but this crap where other people are performing the actual songs with their own screwed up twist on it is garbage..I mean these guys that made this(and the AC/DC tribute my friend was equally dumb enough to buy) are just plain terrible...I'm gonna email both the label that produced it and Linkin Park so that they may feel my pain....as a rule every place that sells CDs should allow you to listen before you buy....
  6. I though that Kidman only won the CW title from X-Pac and that he was still technically the LHC or something like that...I know i must've read that somewhere...anyone care to back me up on this and elaborate...I always thought that there was a title change with the CW title and that the Light Heavyweight title was sorta lost in the mix for a while...
  7. I know that Linkin Park gets no love around here but get past that for a moment...has anybody else seen all these 'tribute" cds at Best Buy...they have them for everybody now from 311, LP, Incubus not to mention all of the guitar tributes..anyways I picked the LP one up knowing full well that there would be no actual LP members on the cd but hoping the "remixes" and covers that they promised were so great on the package would be decent but to my displeasure it may have been the worst cd ever purchased....this band that does the covers are litterally destroying this music to the point of comedy...is this crap parody or what?...has anyone else wasted money on one of these tribute cds?....are there any good ones...I bought the DMB "Breathe" bluegrass tribute a few years ago and that was decent...the guitar tribute to Tool was at least interesting but this was terrible!
  8. Man I wish I had all those Raws to watch over again as I think that that was the best period of time storyline and wrestling wise in the WWE...does anybody know around that time if Raw was the only thing worth watching during the H.F/Austin/Michaels feud or did any thing good happen on the secondary shows...I thnk maybe Superstars or Shotgun Saturday Night...can't wait for that era to start when 24/7 comes on...
  9. Boy....I hope nobody STEALS his new title belt! As if that'd ever happen... hey does anybody have any pics of the other crazy ass titles like the Brahma Bull, Taker or the homocore belt that the gay cowboy used? Was this ever done in any other wrestling feds before?
  10. I'm just curious because I've been out of the loop with comics for a while but why all the Todd hate? And whats's the deal with Miracle Man...I don't even know what the hell that is....
  11. What was also funny about the WCW angle was that they were actually building to something because DDP and Bagwell were working as heels against Booker T on the first show. But we lost any chance after that night. And I don't care that most of the top WCW talent wasn't readily available right away bacause reintroducing talent would have been better.Yeah Vince shoulda got at least one more big name guy but he coulda stretched what he had. Imagine the possibilities of WWF vs. WCW vs. ECW. vs the NWO...and we almost had it...hell Heat and Velocity would'v e had big ratings off an angle like that. And it could've lasted for months!!!

    Edge

Then we could end the Brand Split......Genious!!!
  13. They could add many more matches to an IC dvd.. some left off that I've seen would be Razor and Nash from SS, both ladder matches with Razor and HBK and definately Eddie and RVD.They should do a DVD history of the IC belt, showing not only the greatest matches but the history and controversy of the title.
  14. It drives me crazy to think about this sometimes. The other day I was listening to a radio show from that time as the Invasion was just getting started and they were talking like Vince had all of these plans for a real WCW brand which would've been so much better than the eventual roster spilt that we saw but they also said that Booker T and Bagwell were putting crowds to sleep at house shows prior to Raw so Vince should've known better! They could've done a tag match with Booker and somebody against DDP/Bagwell with a UT and Austin run in were UT hits Austin on accident or something. It could've at least protected these guys that were already shell shocked. Vince allowed it to fail and by doing so KILLED the biggest money angle in the history of wrestling. And considering that within a year the NWO, EB,Flair and Goldberg were all in the WWE anyways they could've easily had Sting come in and if they needed WCW jobbers so bad bring in Jarrett and Luger but Vince and crew screwed it all up. It will never go away and I doubt wrestling will ever be able to get back to the level it was at again because there are NO MORE big money angles left to do.

    Amy Lee

Of course it's faked............that picture never leaves my safe...........man I miss Avril.....
  16. I think that many people just like Orton face or heel and are willing to cheer the guy on that point alone....imo he's still a fresh talent that is worth watching so people cheer because it's new...and I cheered Luger for a while too but only during the Yoko feud because those darn U.S.A vs the world angles always get me...I'm such a sucker...
  17. You have a point but I was considering HBK's as more of an actual comeback because he was out for so long with no real exposure of tv while Austin was out there almost every week while nursing the injury...they even made it part of his storyline. I don't really remember Flairs comeback and don't remember what he said in his book about it but I'll give you that point too. My take is that HBK left on top but was out for like four years and then returned and has been putting on great matches. Flair had yet to win a world title before the crash I believe and was just starting out. Austin too built on his injury. But those were more serious injuries to comeback from and both Austin and Flair have had m ore successful careers than HBK. Can we both be right or is that against TSM code?
  18. Gimme a break...people don't just pop for anyone and Orton, while he should still be a heel and never shoulda been a face, is getting some solid crowd reactions. I've just started watching some of his matches and he looks to be as good as anyone else on the roster. Benoit may be better but honestly I've seen so much of him that I'm kinda burnt out. Orton's match against Edge was cool as hell tonight and that's what will get him over with people. And I doubt he went to Vince and said "hey I got an idea about this new line of womens panties named after me"....he's just doin what the Boss says he should do...hell I don't even think he's even acknowledged the Randy Wear...I wish he didn't have it but whatever...look at Flair's shirt and Regals for tnat matter...they're quite homoreffic and they're meant for guys....
  19. If you go to the old Tom Zenk website many of his interviews are on there and he shoots on EVERYBODY, especailly Vince and Dusty Rhodes. I miss Tom Zenk....
  20. Raven was off his head on a lot of what he was saying but to be fair it sounded like the rant of a man who has sean the ups and downs of an industry he loves and has been told by many that he could've been a great pro wrestler had he had the right chance. His arrival to TNA was met with great fanfare and things looked like they might turn around when he arrived but now TNA is close to dying like so many other promotions Raven has worked for. Plus now all he sees around the indies are these little guys doing gobs of highspots with little psychology, somwthing he believes is the backbone of the sport. Raven probably just wishes things were different and is frustrated with the state of business and I don't blame him for going off, even though much of what he said was wrong.
  21. The points on HBK being great in all aspects of wrestling are right on as he could do nearly anything great from in ring work to mike skills. My position is that from a entertainment standpoint he could carry feuds that were worth watching and he made them good. HBK could possibly be paired with anyone and have both good matches and I think he could make the fued and subsequent storyline viable also. Maybe he's not the best at any one thing as somebody mentioned earlier but he could cerainly be considered the most effective as a whole. He has what a lot of others don't. And as Flair said his comeback IS the greatest of all time hands down. I for one still mark for HBK, his enterence, and his moveset. I think plebty of guys can wrestle better than HBK but I find myself getting into the matches more when he's involved.
  22. "mission from God" is funny....

    Best Shirt EVER

Is that Flair's first t-shirt? You'd think Hunter would give him something better than that...Jeez you'd think he was tryin to bury the guy or something...and I can't imagine Flair's happy about wearing that purple thing anyways. Remember that terrible shirt Austin had wear his arms turned into rattlesnakes..that was the creativity wiiiindinnnggg doooowwwnn....
  24. They could pull this off with some(gulp!) long term planning where Paul gets called a loser after the Hendenriech, Nathan Jones and that other big guy's terrible runs on SD!. Pit him and Vince against each other on SD! with Vince and some other wrestlers calling him a washed up loser. Paul can then state his claim that he did more with a tiny arena and a bunch of guys with heart than Vince ever did with all his millions of dollars. Paul can then challenge Vince(again) and say that he can beat the current PPV buy rates that feature top stars with a few guys of his choosing. They might have to publicly ackowledge the drop in buyrates but hell that's obvious already. Paul can gather some guys and some of the big stars can join his show out of sympathy for a man who gave them a shot early in their careers. Maybe throw in some opposition from un-sympathetic wrestlers for heels and you've got a one-shot show I know I'd buy. You could shoot lots of vignettes on Paul and maybe RVD traveling the world to find wrestlers or "long lost" ECW guys to show up. Throw in some suprises on the showto boost the replay and it's a big money show that rivals Wrestlemania.
  25. Dear Vince, I find it difficult to buy into your daughter as a legitimate leader for this company when the ex-and future world champ is putting what's left of his steroid-impared "championship pole" up your daughters rear-end. Now if that's not creative control I don't know what is. Sincerely, "Everybody but Ric Flair"
