  1. Warrior jobbed back to Hogan after eight years. HHH can only hope the same happens for him since Warrior ruined Hunter's first WM, I'm sure it eats at HHH from time to time.
  2. yeah, the Iron Man Match
  3. What do you feel is the most significant match of the decade? Bret Hart Vs. Shawn Michaels, arguably the best WRESTLING match ever.
  4. If anybody remembers...Brawl In The Family?
  5. Mortis was inspired by Scorpion from Mortal Kombat since he was just there at first to be Glacier's rival, who was a Sub-Zero knockoff. Mortis was only loosely based (note the skull designs), but not as a big enough knock-off of the MK character as Glacier was to his.
  6. Yes, he took the bump, but the platform he fell on, after he was thrown off the 2nd level of the triple cage by Mike Awesome, was staged so he wasn't seriously injured.
  7. Well, I just wrote the Vengeance 2003 - Present Time part, the info above that was written courtesy of the Dames!
  8. (Interview was conducted by Chris Yandek) Roddy Piper went back to the WWE for one more run at WrestleMania 19 when he interfered in the Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon match. Piper's Pit was alive one more time, and he became one of the most important people on WWE Smackdown next to Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan, as always. Now after being released, Roddy Piper talks for the first time since being released from WWE about everything that happened while he was in WWE. First off how are you? "I feel great. I am honored because there is not many people who have me back twice. I feel pretty good. On a personal note, my second oldest child is in Italy right now, she got a 4.0, and is an honor student, and she is now going to UCLA. So for a professional wrestler lacking education, it's a pretty proud moment for her dad." The comments you made on the HBO special about wrestlers involved with drugs and deaths included admitting that you took drugs. Do you think this was the main reason you were released from WWE? "I don't think it had a thing to do with it. No. Not at all. In my book In the Pit with Piper, the wrestling fan received 80,000 words. If you read between the lines In the Pit with Piper, you would have known that I went through a spell under the lifestyle of a professional wrestler. What you're referring to on HBO as far as using drugs, it's a little misleading. The fellow by the name of Armen Keteyian was the guy who interviewed me, and the interview was about two hours, and then they asked if they could interview me with my family, and that took two and a half hours. During the interview we talked about a players association, and Armen Keteyian generally asked, 'What did Dr. Zahorian have and where?' Well, it was Hershey, Pennsylvania, and there was this doctor who was prescribing drugs, and 30 minutes later Armen Keteyian in the same interview said, 'Roddy, you lived like this for 20 years?' Yeah I did. I didn't take every one of those drugs because he had asked me about what prescriptions or drugs he had. I have been arguably in this sport for more then 30 years, and no one knows including me, but as the interview was played, they showed nothing of my family. What I did with HBO Real Sports, Brian Gumbel and Armen Keteyian, was that they had been after me since January, and I kept pushing it off as I didn't want to do the interview. They were interested in doing a story on chapter 12 in my book which was "the Sickness", and I admitted that yes, that was 12 years ago, and all the drugs they named I wasn't taking, but on the other hand, I was in court. You can look up the transcript, and see what I was and wasn't doing. I wouldn't do the interview unless I had my team there, so I had the B roll of all the footage. You have HBO Real Sports here who is trying to do a piece with the deaths of professional wrestlers that I have been speaking of, and with you in our first interview I believe, and what I thought of what Vince McMahon was doing. We bring me ahead to the first appearance on WWE Smackdown, and I ended it with "I hate you too Vince McMahon". It was pretty much in your face, what I was saying all along, and what is in the book. When you see Vince McMahon slapping the paper out of Armen Keteyian's hand, this is Vince McMahon losing his temper. I think when it came down to why I was terminated was that it was about who can handle the pressure, and who was the best stickman in the world, and it's not Vince McMahon. I just think I made a multi-millionaire angry, and this multi-millionaire decided that he didn't want to be bothered handling Roddy Piper. Every time we came in the ring to do the Piper's Pits, it became more Mr. McMahon, and the quality of them was decreasing. It was a way out for him not having to deal with somebody he couldn't control." So your response is that you came off better then Vince McMahon did on the HBO Real Sports special, and with that Vince McMahon fired you because of that? "Exactly." What was the exact statement you were given from WWE as far as your release goes? "I saw it like everyone else saw it when WWE put it on the internet, and I have not spoken to anyone from WWE at this point when I am speaking to you Chris. They put up this statement, and they referred to the HBO special which we just talked about as a reference point. From 1971 to 1991 if you're talking about a drug use, this is 2003, and that is irrelevant. I believe that self destructive was in the statement, and I had in my hand the booking dates with Piper's Pit with Vince McMahon in house show venues for August, and I had received a three month working visa for Japan as I was scheduled to go over there too. There were no contract disputes at all, everything was settled. I was in the hotel at Madison Square Garden the same night the HBO special aired. Ironically Hulk Hogan took his mask off and quit, and I found via this statement the next day of self destructive behavior, and I wasn't wrestling, as I was only doing Piper's Pits, but via many lawyers, we know there was no contractual disagreements as it was already done. I have not done any drugs since I was in that darn court with Dr. Zahorian which was 1991, and yes sir it is his ego, and in a little defense of Vince McMahon, he has taken it upon himself as far as keeping sports entertainment running, and it's very hard for one man to run the sport as we see from week to week on the show." Why did you decide to go back to WWE, and do the run in at WrestleMania 19 in the Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon match? "I was on The Best Damn Sports Show, and I knew that Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan were going to wrestle each other, and I said Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan have been living next door to each other their whole life, and put me in the middle as referee and I will have them kill each other, and that is what started the ball running. The reason I came into the ring not as referee was that they were going to come back after WrestleMania 19, and this might have been the lowest WrestleMania they ever had, and the fact I would make a surprise appearance and come back and do a match on the pay per view would make more sense and to a point that is correct." What were your thoughts on the creative direction of WWE Smackdown, and your thoughts on how Piper's Pit came across? "The first Piper's Pit I call free falling, and I don't write them or construct them in that matter. I felt really good as I believe it got the highest share for that segment in the history of that show, and from there on I believe that Vince McMahon tried to become Roddy. Piper having Piper's Pit and here comes Mr. McMahon. I did a taped interview and I said Vince McMahon, Jr. and they bleeped out the Junior. The next week I come out and introduce Vince McMahon, and he said, 'After all, who better knows a big American success story than Vincent Kennedy McMahon.' When I would say something on Piper's Pit, the next week it was compensated for. There was a young fellow by the name of Zach Gowen, and he asked if I would pull this kid's leg off. I went to Zach Gowen and found out he was a baseball player, lost his leg to cancer, and he had been in a wrestling camp, and could do these maneuvers quite well. Once I looked at in the way it was his dream to be a professional wrestler, I knew that he needed some propelling to get to that main event slot, and there is no other way he would have got there. What are you going to do? Put Zach Gowen against The Big Show, and it's going to draw money? No. I am going to help this kid get a lift up, and that was that, but if you look at it from that point, and how much Zach Gowen wanted to be a professional wrestler, but if you look at the picture for the WWE that's not a nice way of a killing a top commodity off or putting a mask over a famous wrestler like Hulk Hogan as Mr. America. One of the most stupidest times when I was in the ring was saying that you're not Mr. America, you're Hulk Hogan. The idea was with the way things were structured by Vince McMahon on Piper's Pit, he was trying to kill my heat and step in as the host. At WrestleMania 19, he made himself the main event, and now he wants to be in front of the camera, and he picks Hulk Hogan to wrestle him, and he picks Roddy Piper to come down who got a bigger ovation then both of them, and Vince McMahon got over his head." Do you think there is too much McMahon in the major storylines on WWE Smackdown? "Yes...Yes...Yes. Next question." On May 18, 2003 WWE Judgment Day 2003 you were defeated by Mr. America aka Hulk Hogan. In your biography, you talked at length on why you refused to lose to Hogan, what changed your mind this time around? "Well, Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 1 was a totally different story. I was fighting for my family and he was fighting for his. My job, as I saw it was to help out young guys, and to get my business back on track that is professional wrestling. I believe that it was off track, and there are only a few people who can put it on track. I was open and honest, and if that worked for the fans, and at my point in my career, I owed it." Were you surprised to see Hulk Hogan leave the WWE because he was not happy with his creative direction? "Surprise? Yes. The most ironic thing is that for different reasons our time with WWE ended at the same time and me and Hulk Hogan became pretty close towards the end, and that day in Madison Square Garden was the last day for Hulk Hogan who took his mask off after the cameras went off and said good bye. It is kind of ironic, but I don't know if it's coincidental or not." Did you think Sean O'Haire lost out when you were let go? "The creative team in WWE didn't understand how to get someone like that over. Sean O'Haire is one hell of a guy, and he can speak for himself, and he doesn't need Roddy Piper. I think the WWE did a tremendous disservice by putting him with Roddy Piper. Let them go out and do what they need to do because I can only tell you how Roddy Piper can draw money. I wish him nothing but the best." Why do you think WWE never gave you the WWE Championship? "I didn't need one. Only people who can't draw money need belts. The only thing I need is a great opponent." You're going to be starring in a movie with Janet Jackson real soon, am I right? "Yeah. The filming starts September 2nd, and it has Janet Jackson, Christopher Walken, and Emilio Estevez, so I am going to be doing that movie." Finally, what is in store for your future? "As we wind this up, you Chris are doing a great job. I wish you all the luck in the world, and for the listeners and readers watching you, you are very respectful, and have all my respect from that. UPW is going to be a ball, and at the end of this seven day camp, the top ten guys have to go into this battle royal on a real deal card, and that is going to be the best entertainment for me. It's going to be a very tough camp, but a sincere honest one. I would like to do animated voices. I think that would be a blast. I am a big kid fan. I am going to do entertainment in various ways." Credit: 1wrestling.com On an updated note according to Prowrestling.com NWA-TNA aired a black promo on a recent show simply playing Piper's theme with the words "He's Coming..." shown. I miss Piper, great guy / heel.
  9. Its confirmed, Mortis is back and kicking ass! Click Here To See Proof of Mortis in WWE It'll take me awhile to get use to the purple though...
  10. You know the men. You know their credentials. You know their life stories and what they have accomplished in their careers, but now you will get the complete history of Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar together through thick and thin whether it was the best of times or the worst of times! Match Background Timeline Vengeance 2002 - Wrestlemania 19 This match has had a long, slow build-up that actually all started back at Vengeance 2002 in a throwaway backstage segment. Kurt Angle, in preparation for the Triple Threat World Title match with The Rock & The Undertaker that night, was introduced to Brock Lesnar (a Raw talent then) "for the first time" by his former agent, Paul Heyman. Heyman basically told him that he would love to see Angle win the title at Vengeance so he and Brock could tear the roof off of SummerSlam where Brock’s guaranteed title shot were to take place. Angle, knowing Brock’s amateur credentials, was intrigued to say the least. Angle didn’t win the title at Vengeance though but Lesnar did at SummerSlam by beating The Rock, the same man who defeated Angle in the Triple Threat match the previous month. After Brock made his permanent home Smackdown, he proceeded to F5 every big man he could find in order to establish his dominance. The first victim was Mark Henry, but it occurred while Henry was wrestling Angle and Angle didn’t appreciate losing by DQ and confronted Brock about it. Later that night, Brock also F5’ed Hogan and the following week, Hogan and Angle argued with each other about who had the right to go after Lesnar. Stephanie McMahon made a match between Angle and Hogan for the following week, which Hogan won, delaying the inevitable match between Angle and Lesnar. Fast forward to a few more months and Brock was no longer the WWE Champion. Having turned on his former client, Paul Heyman was now managing the new Champion, the Big Show and was scheduled to defend the title at Armageddon. A “Fatal Four Way” match was held to determine Big Show’s first challenger between Angle, Chris Benoit, Edge and Eddie Guerrero, which Angle won, but was attacked after the match by Show to weaken him before the title shot. Angle, knowing that Show had Heyman in his corner, asked the one man who hated Heyman the most, Brock Lesnar to be in his corner and help him win the WWE title at Armageddon, with a promise of a guaranteed title shot should he be successful. Brock agreed and at Armageddon, Lesnar F5’ed the Big Show and Angle became the new WWE Champion. It turned out to be one big ruse though as Angle’s NEW manager was Paul Heyman and the only thing he wanted was to insure that Brock never got a title shot. This infuriated Lesnar who went after Angle and F5’ed him into the ring post, injuring the new champion. To insure that Lesnar would never do something like that to Angle again, Team Angle was formed. Even with Team Angle standing in the way, Lesnar won the Royal Rumble and a guaranteed title shot at Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania. He dominated Angle and Team Angle at every opportunity, going as far as lmost getting the pinfall on the champion at No Way Out in the aforementioned 6 man tag team match. Things then got interesting as Brock wanted his title shot early and wanted to go through anyone to get it. Angle agreed to give him a shot should he beat Haas and Benjamin first in a Gauntlet, which Lesnar did, but Heyman interfered within seconds of the first Angle/Lesnar match resulting in a win for Brock by DQ. At this point, fate took an unexpected turn as Kurt Angle was revealed to have serious neck problems and would need neck surgery that would knock him out of action for over a year and the Wrestlemania main event. This information wasn’t made public however as WWE was now scrambling to throw together a new main event for the biggest show of the year and were planning on hotshotting the title to Brock Lesnar on Smackdown. Lesnar finally got his revenge on Paul Heyman by beating him in a cage match, with the stipulation being that he would get a shot at Kurt Angle the following week on Smackdown should he win. Kurt tried everything he could to prevent it from happening, but Brock won and was awarded a title shot on Smackdown. All signs pointed to Brock winning the title on Smackdown and going into Wrestlemania as champion, but once again, fate intervened. It turns out that Angle’s neck was much worse than originally anticipated and he may never be able to wrestle again….so Angle wanted to have his last match at Wrestlemania. So, instead of dropping the title to Brock on Smackdown, the match DID take place, but Angle had his look a like brother Eric start the match, allowing Kurt to come from underneath the ring and roll up Brock to retain the title for another few weeks. Smackdown GM Stephanie McMahon stipulated that the match at Mania would have no interference otherwise Kurt Angle would be stripped of the WWE Championship with it being awarded to Brock Lesnar. In order to make sure that the match is toned down and not nearly as fast paced, Angle went after Brock’s ribs, “reinjuring” the same ribs he broke before Survivor Series and then nailed him in the back with a 2x4 on the last Smackdown before WM. The stage is now set….Angle vs. Lesnar for the WWE Title on the line, with this match very well being Kurt’s last. Wrestlemania 19 - Vengeance 2003 After feuding for the better part of four months, Brock Lesnar defeated Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania 19 for the WWE Title and after the match, Angle was out for two months with a career threatening neck injury. Since then, Brock has been feuding with his long time rival, The Big Show, who was the first man to pin him and took the title from him at last year’s Survivor Series. Kurt Angle then made his return as a babyface and made his intentions known…he wanted the WWE Title again. The Big Show interrupted his speech and told Angle that he’d have to wait in line, attacking him and luring out Brock Lesnar in the process. After dispatching of Show, it was revealed that Angle and Lesnar had become good friends and since then, have teamed up several times against the Big Show. When the Big Show faced Zach Gowen on Smackdown, both Angle and Lesnar came in and caused Show to lose, leading Vince McMahon to make the match at Vengeance into a triple threat match for the WWE Title. Also, as punishment for their interference, Angle and Lesnar both faced The Big Show & The World’s Greatest Tag Team in 3-on-1 Handicap matches in back to back weeks. On the last Smackdown before Vengeance, the sides were finally even as Angle and Lesnar teamed up with Zach Gowen against The Big Show & The World’s Greatest Tag Team. After the match, Angle and Lesnar finally came to blows only to be double chokeslammed by The Big Show at the end of the event. This isn’t the first time that these three men were involved in a triangle for the WWE Title. Back in December, Kurt Angle defeated The Big Show for the WWE Title with Brock Lesnar’s interference, only to reveal later that it was part of a master plan by the former manager of all three men, Paul Heyman. Credit For The Above Info: The Dames (Thanks, man) Vengeance 2003 - Present Time At the end of Vengeance 2003, Kurt Angle (who lost in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship at Vengeance one year ago) came out the WWE Champion for his fourth time after getting a clean win over Brock Lesnar after delivering the Angle Slam to him in the Triple Threat Match in the main event of the PPV that had a No DQ stipulation . Brock could not stand not being with the gold he loved to hold so much and sacrificed his bitterness with Vince McMahon to join forces with the evil boss of the company to insure getting a rematch with Angle, this time without The Big Show to unbalance things. All this occured in an elaborate set-up where Brock Lesnar fought Vince McMahon in a Steel Cage with Kurt Angle being the special guest referee. It appeared the match was over with as Brock was about to finish Vince off with the F-5, but collapsed instead. Vince and Kurt being surprised at what happened had different opinions on what should be done next. Vince, being the cold-hearted man that he is, wanted to finish the match by getting the pinfall victory over Brock, but Angle would refuse. Having concerned with the well-being of his best friend, Kurt tried to get medical attention to come down to the ring, but Vince would have none of it and started to get angry and physical with Kurt because he was not carrying out his assigned job and then went back to covering Lesnar. Angle got ticked off and snagged Vince into the Angle Lock. With Angle's back turned, Brock sprung to his feet and shocked everybody by delivering an F-5 to his best friend, Kurt Angle, and proceeded to brutally assault him before helping Vince McMahon up and went as far as to even give Vince a hug. Kurt Angle was "injured" from this and wouldn't been seen / heard from for almost two weeks. Having shocked everybody by selling himself out to McMahon, fans demanded answers from Brock. Brock Lesnar came out the following week, while Angle was gone, after being introduced by Vince who said that old "Monster" Brock Lesnar was back. Lesnar explained that the friendship with Angle ended when Kurt took the title away from him at Vengeance (which could have been for a number of reasons guessed: Greed, Paranoia, Betrayal, etc.) and he won't stop until he gets his title back and went on to destroy SD Superstar Spanky to demonstrate that his fire, his old destructive nature and desire, was back in him. Angle returned Tuesday night on Smackdown and addressed Brock, he said that he told Brock man to man that he doesn't apologize for beating him for the title, because Angle lives for the belt. But he didn't come out here to tonight to ask for the assistance of Vince McMahon, because he fights his battles on his own. He vows revenge the old fashion way, finding his subject and kicking his ass. Kurt didn't come to Smackdown! for a match, he came for a fight with Lesnar. Vince came out and said that if he came face to face with Angle, Kurt would do something he would regret. If Angle comes near McMahon or Lesnar before Summer Slam, Angle is subject to immediate suspension, stripping of the belt, and getting fired. And since Angle wanted a fight so bad, Vince would give him one. A Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight against...The Big Show! Kurt Angle triumped in the main event match against the Big Show, but his victory was cut short as Brock Lesnar's music started playing. Brock's standing at the top of the ramp, both men stare each other down in preparation for their Wrestle Mania Rematch at SummerSlam this coming Sunday night... We can only wait and see which man will triumph. Will it be All-year Angle or will history repeat itself at SummerSlam with Brock?
  11. I think its safe to say that after what Brock did to him, for Zack Gowen...the dream is now dead.
  12. A suggestion to Mrs. McMahon: In case HHH ever has to have another " Desire " video done for him, use 50 Cent's "Many Men" for the theme, it fits him well.
  13. *notices Chuck Palumbo, Jamie Noble, Billy Gunn, Billy Kidman, Maven, Christopher Nowinski, Spanky, Kanyon, Bradshaw, Farooq, Funaki, Theodore Long, Molly and Ivory aren't on the SD: HCTP roster...
  14. Rob Van Dam vs. Kane Expected Winner: Kane / My Choice: RVD (I hope this match will be good and not just a damn squash match) World Tag Team Titles Dudley Boyz vs. La Resistance Expected Winner and My Choice: Dudley Boyz Fatal Four Way for U.S. Championship Eddie Guerrero vs. Chris Benoit vs. Tajiri vs. Rhyno Expected Winner: Chris Benoit / My Choice: Eddie Guerrero (This will be MoTN also most likely) Zach Gowen vs. Matt Hardy has now been scrapped. Thank you, WWE. Undertaker vs. A-Train [/i ]Expected Winner: Undertaker (Could give a rat's ass about this match) Shane McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff Expected Winner: Shane McMahon / My Choice: Eric Bischoff (Going for Bischoff because he rules and Shane is an egomaniac and this match shouldn't even be happening on this PPV anyway since they're both non-wrestlers and at least two RAW talents got screwed out of a SS card spot) WWE Championship Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar Expected Winner / My Choice: Undecided I like both of these guys so I'll go either way since either man has a good chance of winning. I just hope McMahon doesn't interfere whatsoever to try to ruin this awesome match. (I expect this to be MoTN) Elimination Chamber II For The World Heavyweight Title HHH vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg vs. Randy Orton Expected Winner (to the WWE fans in general): Goldberg / HHH My Choice: Chris Jericho *cries knowing the Intercontinental Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, and the Cruiserweight Title won't be defended at this PPV. A lot of good talent and possible good matches got screwed out of this year's SummerSlam that's for sure.
  15. There was no way in hell Vince was going to make WCW / WCW-related people look good. Its a sure bet sabatoged the whole thing on purpose just for the hell of it to make look like shit (which to most WWE fans it was) to the world as McMahon always thought it was. Goldberg was one of WCW's biggest (an overrated one at that) stars, Vince says he did it to get a ratings boost, but if you do everything against what Goldberg did, Vince hired Goldberg to ruin him and expose him for the no talent that he really is. Goldberg's backstage reported behavior didn't help him either. Invasion + Goldberg = Marshmellows in McMahon's fire
  16. SD's next PPV is No Mercy in October. Isn't this how it was back at Armageddon last year?
  17. Male, female, or shemale?
  18. As long as Lesnar / Benoit happens (since it has never happened so far), I'll quit my damn bitching.
