  1. Getting the thoughts of Meanie, Steven, Beulah and Kimona would be more than enough to make up for the lack of Raven's thoughts though. I mean, it sucks you can't hear from Raven but god damn would that be an amazing DVD. Hell, you could do one of the Sandman-Raven feud and it would just as awesome. That twist with Sandman's son joining Raven was fucking awesome. Shit, did Raven have a bad feud during his best run with ECW?
  2. All I really know is the ratings usually hit the mid 4's when they crown best in show and hover in the mid 3's range every other time. So about the same as the ratings RAW grabs nowadays.
  3. Instead of Sandman vs Rhino from TNN, I think the one where Rhino just piledrives Sandman's wife was a better match. The ending wasn't that great but overall it was a very good match. It's not like you are going to get a big time match out of Sandman anyway. Storm vs Dreamer from Hardcore Heaven 99 (I think), also known as the night Tommy "breaks" his back, was a match I would have added just for the hell of it. I felt like it was a very underrated brawl. And yes, Tanaka vs Awesome with the top rope sitout powerbomb was a great match. About 20 times better than the One night stand match. Corino WAS a stuck pig that year. Fuck, he bled buckets in every PPV match. That Hardcore Heaven match was just fucking cold, with the tree of woe kick that made the blood splatter on the camera. His hair went completely red, it was fucked. But this is just going from memory. They have the whole ECW library at their disposal. I'm hoping they use it for maybe some individual DVDs for guys like Taz (fuck you E), Dreamer and the like. I'd buy a Tommy Dreamer DVD just for some of the Dreamer-Raven matches.
  4. Mike Awesome Vs. Spike Dudley (ECW World Title Match) Rhino Vs. Sandman (ECW on TNN) Super Crazy Vs. Tajiri Vs. Little Guido (3 Way Dance) Tommy Dreamer Vs. C.W. Anderson ("I Quit" Match) Gangstas Vs. Public Enemy Hous Party - January 5, 1996 I don't remember those being on any ECW or WWE releases.
  5. If they have been planning since day one to give him the belt at this PPV, that's what I call long term booking plans. If TNA really does book like this, I am even more hopeful about the direction of the company. I don't know if it's true but if it is, well DAMN that is impressive.
  6. I think the Lynn vs Corino match where Lynn writes "DIE" on Corino's chest in blood is kinda fucked. But if you are going to do a DVD called Bloodsport, why not? Plus they could have picked a better Tanaka vs Awesome match. They have had tons better matches between the two.
  7. I bet the Golden Retriever gets held down again. This should be his year god dammit! Watch the Pointer win it again, that was such a bullshit and undeserving title win! Total screwjob.
  8. Nice boobs. The preview gave away the whole film and saved me the money.
  9. The plane was just an illusion. There was no plane. Those people who were on the flight are on vacation!
  10. Ric Flair Harley Race Ricky Steamboat Terry Funk Lou Thesz Buddy Rogers Dory Funk Jr Gene Kineski Dusty Rhodes Sting Chono Barry Windham Great Muta Steve Corino Hashimoto Yeah, gosh that is one shitty list of champions. BTW, It's not the TNA title. Well, it hasn't been held by such greats as Vince McMahon and Diesel has it? Every title has a horrible line at one point or another, but the NWA TNA title is just as prestigious as the WWE. Probably even more so if you want to go all the way back. I don't think it's bittersweet for Christian at all. He's on top of a major promotion after making his own decision to leave the company he was with. If he stayed in the E, he'd be feuding with Orlando Jordan or something equally stupid.
  11. Lot of the matches were lazy when ECW released them. Some of the ECW matches listed should have been once and never again because they just weren't any good. WWE has the whole library at their disposal and unlike when ECW was with Pioneer, completely controls what can and can't go on the DVD. So what did they do? Put the same matches ECW put out. Hopefully the second one takes advantage of the ECW library and isn't just a rehash.
  12. "Wow. Look at all the Farrah Fawcett posters" I don't know why but that line cracks me up.
  13. I won't be getting it since ECW themselves already released almost every single match on the DVD. I got them all when ECW released them and right now, I'm honestly not interested in giving the WWE one dollar of my cash. If they were going to release a ECW dvd, they should have released matches that weren't already done. This was laziness.
  14. I think it's gotta be a guarantee of a rematch either at the next ppv, the first Impact on Thurs nite (which they are trying to get two hours for), or at latest Lockdown. I have some weird fear that Larry is going to maybe give Jarrett another title shot or at worst they even give Jarrett the title back on Impact this week, with Larry saying Slick Johnson was about to DQ him and technically since he was trying to DQ him, Jarrett would retain the title. I totally hope I'm wrong there though but its weird how they had done a segment in the back with Larry, Hebner, and Slick Johnson earlier in the ppv. I hope TNA isnt going down a stupid road and having Johnson being Jarrett's secret "evil" rep that helps him out of situations when shit goes down. Slick Johnson as the Jarrett version of Nick Patrick? God, that would be incredibly lame.
  15. Did the ref bumps benefit Jarrett or Christian? Like, did Christian survive tons of Jarrett cheating to win the belt? If he did, then they actually managed to play the "Against all odds" name into the title match. Which I like. Make the name mean some shit. Plus to me, that's a perfectly clean finish. The days of one on one, no interference, no ref bumps and clean 1-2-3 are over in the major promotions.
  16. You kidding? He'll probably win it on the first Thursday IMPACT! show. I hope I'm wrong and they give Christian a good run before he drops it to Joe or Brown. Let Jarrett go feud with Sting and Raven for awhile god dammit.
  17. Wait, TNA brought in Hebner making people think screw-job and then had Christian go clean over Jarrett for the title? Well shit, way to go TNA. They avoided all the cliches and actually went clean finish, new champion. This show sounded very good. I'll be getting it on DVD.
  18. I actually like LAND OF THE DEAD, but the character development that Romero usually excels at was VERY weak in this installment. I guess cause he was doing more to establish the zombies now that they are the majority and the humans are the minority. It took my third viewing of LAND to figure out where Simon and Edgar were.
  19. Christian falls into Monty Brown limbo of being over but not getting a fair shake while Raven and Jarrett go at it into Primetime? No thanks, I'm more interested in Monty vs Christian or Christian vs Raven than this.
  20. Cam'Ron IS Geraldo Rivera. Shit man, this should be a weekly show on A&E after Dog the Bounty Hunter. Cam and the Dog: Crime meeting it's match. Summer on A&E
  21. I can't believe they are considering this. The Hebner screw-job on Christian? It makes zero sense. They should just do something crazy like, I don't know, a straight forward match with no screw job ending? What am I saying, those don't exist in wrestling anymore. ETA: Except in the indy divisions.
  22. What about Joe vs Low Ki? That would be a battle of the stiff kicks wouldn't it? If Ki comes back (big IF at this point), I think that would be a damn awesome match. I just pray they aren't setting up Joe to lose to Jeff Hardy.
  23. I think Lewis wants out for the same reason most of the Ravens defense wants out. Kyle Boller. They have waited two years for him to become something anything close to a quarterback.
  24. http://www.imdb.com/chart/ Who's the bigger star at this point? Steve Martin or Beyonce? Beyonce's ass. And Final Destination 3 made 20 million? FUCK, here comes #4!
  25. 2006 might as well be.
