conspiracy theories... I want to have intelligent conversations on assorted conspiracy theories but can't figure which forum is the appropriate one. While CE is the de facto political discussion forum, some conspiracies are hardly current (JFK's been dead for 40 years now).
-
Another one I'd like to add would be that little Gizmo looking thing from the Jetsons that changed colors with his emotions Apparently HB had this big thing about putting small "cutesy" characters into their cartoons after a couple of seasons (this creature, Gazoo, Scrappy...)

Bucky Dent and Arron Boone: 1. Wore the evil pinstripes? Check 2. Hit a home run that crushed the Sox postseason dreams? Check Close enough for me All he needs to do now is win WS MVP to recreate the '78 nightmare

But... IMDB doesn't present fake rumors on their website. Just ask Steph and Fink's three kids.

I scouted this board for a couple of months or so before deciding to post here (yes, I suck), and I saw Eagen for a bit, posted themes and stuff like that, didn't seem that bad from what I read. Someone will have to explain the hate + banning reason to me, please

I know it isn't Boone's fault since it wasn't his choice to go to NY, but it gets me that he was one of my fav teams, then goes over and stabs the stake through my other fav team's heart. He's this generation of Sox fans' Bucky fucking Dent

I caught a bit of it yesterday while flipping through the channels at work I want the fat black girl and the slightly less fat Mexican girl NOW

He makes David Wells feel better about not being the fattest man in the dugout

The funny thing about GH comps to me are usually that, for most bands, only 3 or 4 songs might've been actual radio hits, while the rest are just the band's chosen favorite songs Although, looking through that list again, damn, I think the first 9 songs plus "Subdivisions" all still get radio airplay on the classic rock stations Anyways, umm... Rush rules. That is all

Well, strangely enough, the math dep't at the ju-co where I used to work for had universal College Algebra exams that had 25 MC questions and 5 open-ended. I thought it strange too though

What're the official total capacities of those two arenas?

Sure, it was filled with columnists who didn't exist, interviews that were entirely made up, used stupid terms like "fan-favorite" and "rulebreaker" when "face" and "heel" are just as easy to explain and easier to type and don't sound as stupid, and they had awards that were clearly fixed (Dusty more popular than Hogan in '87? Hah) But, there were some strange times when they broke kayfabe and actually reported incidinces that surprised me. For example, without them I never would have known about the Arn-Sid scissors incident or the Orndorff-Vader brawl. Now you could say "What about reading the Observer?", but how did one find out about the Observer in the pre-net boom days? I couldn't find the Observer on my grocery store magazine rack (where I spent a great deal of my childhood reading at, but that is another story) And I didn't get on the net until 97, and even then it was a year or so before smarkness set in (though I was a big heel mark even as a young kid, so I think in that way I was destined for smarkness) So, anyway, share your thoughts, jokes, whatever about the Apter Mags.

Just went there now, gonna have to look things over a bit The first thing to give me a chuckle though was that, of all the pictures he could've used to commemorate Stu Hart, he chose a pic from the early 90's during Owen Hart's "puffy pants" phase

Remember back when the most offensive thing about Billy Gunn was that he was a cowboy I miss those days What happened to cowboys in wrestling anyway? Bring back cowboy Billy Gunn!
-
I enjoyed it, personally... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): though I didn't like the confusing-at-first double-pin situation with the referee counting the pin you could barely see (from the camera POV anyway) Don't know if that warrants spoiler tags, but just in case someone here hasn't seen it yet.
-
Unless you're under 13 (which, according to your bio, you're not), I don't think this word warrants being thrown out Psst. It was a joke. I'm pretty sure TMD knew that. Oh, well in that case... My ex-g/f once called me a pedophile. I said "What the hell do you know? You're in the 6th grade."

Six hours later and I'm slightly less pissed off as I was last night. On one hand, I try to take the mature high road on the issue ("It's just a game, don't take it seriously"), but on the other, I have to deal with the Yankees in the WS, and the only thing worse than the Yankees: smug Yankee fans (consisting mostly of yuppies and teen fangirls who want to ride Jeter) As a both a Reds and a Red Sox fan, having Arron Boone end the game hurt double for me Better get the immaturity out of my system now: Fuck the fucking Yankees Fuck Yankee fans Fuck Arron Fucking Boone Go Marlins

You figured out the square root of 520,000 without using a calculator? Color me impressed. Numeric approximation 520,000 = 52 * 100² sqrt(520,000) = sqrt(52) * 100 sqrt(52) will be a bit higher than 7, so the sqrt(520,000) will be a bit higher than 700 (about 721 to be exact) A bit more work than you'd probably want to do (given that calculator use is pretty much automatic for kiddies these days), but that's how you'd do it without one

The evil camp counselor owned. It jumped the shark though when they added that stupid assistant counselor to help out John, so I guess you could add him to the list here. You sure you don't mean the kid from Darkwing Duck (which also had Launchpad in it)? That's who I immediately thought of He became a regular character after the movie? I remember this not. Where's all the Gizmo hate from (not just you, but others)? I marked out for Gizmo, personally. But... but... they were twins... and they were EVIL and talked all menacingly! And one had a scar on his cheek, and... Okay I can't justify it, they didn't add anything of note. Strange how they had minor characters get the better of bugs (save for the lone Elmer incident), while his big nemeses like Daffy and Sam never got a moment of glory.

Scrambled, mofo, with cheese, chopped onions and diced green peppers, with a bit of salsa

I'm torn here... the BossMan gimmick was amusing, got him a good run and he was over like a mother as a heel and face... But the Big Bubba gimmick with him dressed as the enforcer and wrestling in the dress shirt and slacks (a unique thing ahead of it's time, thank you Mike Rotundo and RTC) sticks in my wrestling heart for some reason Gotta vote with my heart here
-
But... but... the wristband!!
-
I actually caught it during its first run on NBC in 1990 (NBC Sat morning lineup of that, Camp Candy and Captain N+Super Mario 3 sticks in my head for some reason... anytime I hear about one, I associate them all together) But yes, it was teh suck, although for some reason I would still watch it when it aired before WCWME (except during football season)
-
Also, re: Rugrats, since I haven't watched that show in about 8 years (and even then I wasn't a devoted fan), who is this Kimmy girl everyone hates? I know who Dil is though (from movie commercials), and what's the reason for hating him?

The hell? When was she around? And did she have any discernable personality, or was she just a female Porky?
