  1. NBR had a much hyped ladder match with 3 count/Dragons that was AWFUL and pales in comparison to their late 2000/early 2001 work. Awful Awesome/Storm match. Main Event was average. Awful three-way with Goldberg/Nash/Steiner...Goldberg "walks out" on the match. Storyline was "Wrestling is fake! Goldberg is supposed to LOSE. But he's not! This is revolutionary!" I kid you not. Plus, uh...Vampiro and Muta win the tag titles, a Sting squash, and more Russo crap.
  2. NFL 2k3
  3. You know what sucks about throwing fraternity parties. If a freshman girl gets LOADED at her dorm... And then come to my house and doesn't have a sip and leaves. And then gets killed in an accident. The fraternity is held responsible. There's a TON of shitty laws that fuck us over.
  4. Bret quit, and an angle was set to have Bret/Nash face off on The Tonight Show, until Owen's death, which occured the day before the show's match was to occur. Bret would eventually come back, obviously as a face, to have a classic with Benoit (see Benoit's DVD). He would remain a face, winning the World title until he turned heel in December. No Bischoff/Bret feud (why Bret "quit") ever played out. Bret would actually next see Bischoff in April 2000, saving him from an attack by Hollywood Hogan. Although Bret's active wrestling career was over by then, as he suffered from post-concussion syndrome due to a stiff superkick from Bill Golbderg at Starrcade 1999, and reaggrevation of the injury at the hands of Terry Funk a few weeks after.
  5. He did include it, slapnuts. Vengeance 01, Austin. The much much better match with Rock (No Mercy 01) is there.
  6. So next week, NEW ORLEANS Vs. CAROLINA... - Philly is in at #1. - Atlanta is #2. - Green Bay is #3. - Seattle is IN and may be #4 (I'm prediciting, b/c even if St. Louis wins tonite against the Eagles bench, they'll lose next week, as their team is trash). - Minnesota will most likely be #5. Leaving...New Orleans, Carolina (winner of next week's game has better record) and St. Louis. Can New Orleans upset Carolina and steal the #6? Discuss.
  7. alf, No, Steiner and Goldberg never had a match that good. They had a passable "Oh, this could be on WWE" match that wasn't boring. Since it wasn't boring, it had a decent storyline and wasn't embarassing to watch like the rest of tyhe company's matches, it was overrated. Call it ** 1/2.
  8. By the way, Benoit's WCW World Title win doesn't count. It was reversed the next night, as Benoit left WCW for WWE. Storyline mode (as you can see during the match) was special referee Arn Anderson announcing Sid's foot (clearly planned) was under the bottom rope as he tapped out. It's just like the referee doing a Dusty Finish at the end of a title bout, it doesn't count. WCW never counted it on their website title histories. It doesn't count. Just sayin'... Oh yeah, after Benoit, the title history went: SID, NASH, SID...it's like WWF 1995, baby!
  9. But...but...they had Ludicras! And Motley Crue!
  10. I just saw Franz in concert...some of their stuff was great, some of it was like listening to Duran Duran on Acid on a scratched record player. I give them a C.
  11. 311 is painfully overrated and mediocre. Altho that hasn't stopped me from seeing them twice, owning all their CDs, and just getting their giant DVD. I dunno...I like their stuff.
  12. "Ban greek living". Greeks run the country. Why don't you look up some "Frat" men that have risen to prominence in this country... Hell, Michael Bloomberg, Woodrow Wilson, and JFK Jr. are among the great leaders who were in MY frat alone. Don't make stupid comments.
  13. They already had the Video Game Awards on Spike TV. Take them as official.
  14. I like SD Vs. Raw, decent storyline mode, best graphics ever, just a horribly limited roster due to the awful brand extension. That doesn't make sense, but it does.
  15. The ECW DVD is easily the best, yes, since Flair's DVD doesn't have a career retrospective (main feature) on it. Eddie's DVD rocks too, with a diverse match selection and a tearful ending (on the phone crying with his wife after beating that fucking pussy Brock to win the title).
  16. If you can find it, check out WWF Unforgiven 2001. A really fun show, with the exception of one match. It gives a great opening WCW Tag Title 4-way, a Raven/Saturn WCW-ish match (altho heatless), a great RVD/Jericho bout, a pretty stellar Austin/Angle match with a big title change, a funyn Jericho/Stephanie backstage segment, a quick Tajiri/Rhyno US Title change that resembled Rhyno being a monster in ECW, the first Edge/Christian battle, and a decent, altho silly Rock Vs Shane/Booker title match. Not the BEST DVD...but a really SOLID all around card. Underappreciated.
  17. The WM 20 match is about **** in hindsight. I think lots of people overrate it due to the sheer mark-out for Benoit winning the title. Most of it is SLOWWWWWWW, SLOWWWW punching punching punching SLOWWWWWWW setup on the tables and then all the great stuff at the end.
  18. FUCK CHUCK AUSTEN. Now that's out of there...just read what he did to the book. I haven't read since March 2002ish. If all of these questions are answered "YES", I will buy every back issue I've missed since. 1) Has Northstar been removed from the team or killed? 2) Is Angel blue again? 3) Is Nightcrawler back to being religious again? 4) Is Mystique not in a "portal of Abyss"... 5) Has Stacy X been given a new name OR a nice costume since 400? 6) Did Polaris go away? 7) Did Havok go away? Did "Nurse Annie" finally leave? 9) Did they take the awful blue/gold colors off of Juggernaut? 10) Did Chuck Austen finally admit his work sucked and "The Draco" and his other worthless storylines were shit? Thank you. Stop fucking around, Marvel.
  19. What is worse? "Hey guys, WWE is on! Check it out!" :::potential new fans sit down:: Stevie/Tomko 1) Wow, that was a pretty pathetic match. Why was he in bra and panties? They both SUCK! (It was 5-6 minutes...) or 2) WHO THE FUCK IS JBL? Why is he the champion? THIS is the big title match? :::apply to any title match::: Keep Time-Constraints and Dissapointment in mind...I may change my pick.
  20. I better get an award. I'm by far the best newbie that I've seen on here for meeting Tyson Tomko at a bar, running Angleplex out of town, starting the "mixer" picture threads and being the WCW Smark. Plus I think most of the Hardcore Discussers are pussies.
  21. You're given the power to book the main event of the LAST WRESTLING SHOW EVER. How will it end? Traditional babyface win? Surprising heel victory? Shocking SWERVE? A Classic Handshake? The Reunion of Joanie Laurer & Sean Waltman? YOU DECIDE! In the ECW Arena...this show has just taken place... 8 "Lethal Lottery" matches of "the best wrestlers ever"...featuring all the talent who could make it...obviously, the plane with Benoit & Steamboat and the RoH talent was late. So we substituted. HHH & Eddie Guerrero def. Kane & Justin Credible in 4:56 when Guerrero pinned Credible after the Frog Splash. Edge & Shawn Michaels def. Perry Saturn & Jeff Hardy in 3:12 when Edge pinned Saturn after Michaels' superkick (stealing the pin). Sid & Lance Storm defeated Rhyno & Sean O'Haire in 5:33 when Sid pinned O'Haire after powerbombing he, Rhyno, & Storm. Chris Jericho & Hulk Hogan defeated Raven & Rob Van Dam in 10:21 when Jericho pinned Raven after the Lionsault following Hogan's Legdrop. Ric Flair & Road Warrior Animal defeated Tajiri & William Regal in 8:00 when Flair pinned Tajiri after Animal delivered a powerbomb. The Ultimate Warrior & Dean Malenko defeated Mike Awesome & Petey Williams in 2:02 when Warrior pinned Awesome after a big splash. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & The Hurricane defeated Brian Adams & B.G. James in 6:22 when Austin pinned James after the "Stone Cold Stunner". The Big Show & Billy Kidman defeated Jeff Jarrett & Booker T in 3:09 when Show pinned Jarrett after the chokeslam. Battlebowl Participants: RAW HEELS: Triple H, Ric Flair, Edge RAW FACES: Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, The Hurricane SMACKDOWN! FACES: Eddie Guerrero, The Big Show SMACKDOWN! HEELS: Billy Kidman LEGENDS HEELS: Sid, Lance Storm, Road Warrior Animal, Dean Malenko LEGENDS FACES: Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin BUT WAIT... The MAIN EVENT had been already set between the returning-for-charity babyface Bret Hart and babyface A.J. Styles. But the MYSTERIOUS COMISSIONER determined that the WINNER OF BATTLE BOWL would be put into the match to make it a three way dance. Pitting BRET HART Vs. A.J. STYLES Vs. BATTLEBOWL WINNER to determine the FINAL WRESTLING CHAMPION EVER. ******** Please give me some detailed Battlebowl Results and then Main Event Results. Humor, creativity, and overall fun are encouraged. The winner gets to be in my Signature somehow for a month. *********
  22. If a guy robs you, its unadvertised. If your girlfriend mistakenly gets pregnant, its unadvertised. When Tomko faced Richards on PPV, it was unadvertised. My point being: IT STILL FUCKING SUCKS.
  23. DiCaprio was the star of the highest grossing film of all time. He's also starred or been in several great films, with The Basketball Diaries, What's Eating Gilbert Grape?, and Catch Me if You Can. He's in the best movie in the nation right now in The Aviator. So methinks he would be missed from this film. He's a great actor.
  24. Steven Richards Vs. Tyson Tomko, WWE Unforgiven '04. You can just close the thread now.
  25. Technically, T.O. being gone can affect the defense. He makes plays. This leads to first downs. This lengthens drives. This allows the defense to rest. Freddie Mitchell does not make big time plays. He made one that counted. That really counted. He has done NOTHING this year. It's time for him to. UI think he will do okay. Pinkston has lost his heart. He needs to find Jim Morrison in a desert and have a discussion. Greg Lewis was playing well until last Sunday. He needs to step up. With all this, the Eagles can defeat any team in football, except Pittsburgh, possibly.
