But does Miami have the surrounding talent to take advantge of Taylor taking on two men. With NE, if you double Seymour, you can't get someone out on McGinest. So you have to compromise somewhere. With Miami, if you put Taylor on the line, there is no one of McGinest caliber behind him to take advantage. And you would be making it worse, because not only are you not getting anything from the LB behind Taylor, but now you have taken Taylor out of the play as well with the double. I think if you move Taylor to the stand up pass rusher, it would be easier to get a clogging DE on the cheap, than a talented pass rushing LB. Part of it is also that I am not a Taylor fan (Artis Hicks taking him to the woodshed in 2003 is going to be the image of Taylor I have), as I do not see him being able to consistantly beat double teams as a 3-4 DE.
-
With their move to the 3-4 I think Taylor fits better as the pass rushing LB as opposed to a DE, where he would need to be more of a clogger than a pass rusher.

The defending TSM Tournament of Champions winner (you better believe I am going to get the mileage I can out of that), Serenity selects: Thanks, beautiful Nomar Garciaparra, SS, Cubs Flik is on the clock
-
I'll handle it this year if no one else wants it or if bravesfan is willing to take it back I'll lend a hand. I'm back for good now.
-
I'll take the Eagles again.

The defending TSM Tournament of Champions winner, Serenity selects: Jeremy Bonderman, SP, Detroit And yes I hate my team already.
-
Note: The Dolphins play in the same division as the Patriots do. So your logic is self-defeating. Actually, the Eagles managed to pull out their tough division games while the Pats were not able to pull one out. So no it was not self defeating as the Eagles did their job, while the Pats did not.
-
Browns - before Trotter Chicago - before Trotter Dallas and Washington - division games that always have the potential to be close (could be worse, they could have lost to the Dolphins) And all of these key components being out are? Lewis (minimal impact) and Owens (who might not be out)
-
I am not too concerned about losing Lewis. The only difference he made was on the two routes sneaking into the back of the end zone wide open. Mike Bartrum has shown he is capable of handling that, if anything people will pay even less attention to him, on the goal line, than Lewis. Granted he won't do anymore than that, but Lewis really hasn't either.

Which QB has the most pressure on him this Sunday?

You can't eliminate Cowher from the discussion considering you used Reid in the ways to deflect blame from McNabb. And if Ben fucks up, he is a rookie playing the best team in the last decade, he is allowed to fuck up. Pittsburgh fans will get over it. And at this point we are going around in circles, so my last post on the subject. Roethlisberger might face more immediate, local shit, but McNabb would face the franchise player on one of the biggest losers in history label. -

The most important matchup, IMO, is the Steelers O-Line vs. Pats front seven, because if Pitt can not run, they will lose. But, as you bring up the idea if they fall behind, if they fall behind there was obviously another area of the team that was faulty at some point. -

First of all, Westbrook's YPC was the same as Curtis Martin and Priest Holmes this year, so your attempt to throw a shot at him at any opportunity is getting really irritating (find something to back up your point on him and I'll start taking it seriously). And it is bullshit to say it is all going to fall on Roethlisberger's shoulders. The Steelers are built on running and defense. As long as those things don't fail, he should not have to win the game with his arm. If they do fail, well then obviously it was not Ben and Ben alone that lost the game. -

I just want the day to be over so I can pray for Bill Cowher's safety. -
I wouldn't dismiss the deferrement idea that quickly. While there is no tax, if they deferred enough it could still work out the same. The NY tax would only be 2.8 million. That could be offset if the deferrment was spread over a lengthy period.

Which QB has the most pressure on him this Sunday?

He will on ESPN but not by Tom Jackson. Just because he does not see him as a loser...ever. (sorry, finally decided to use that for once) -

I do not see, though, blaming one loss on Roethilsberger comparing to McNabb being the face of one of the biggest losers ever. If the Eagles lose, two years from now, who will you remember? McNabb. And let's look nationally too, national media will go easier on Ben whereas McNabb will be questioned by every media person in the country. BenRo might get the more immediate, local "you cost us the game" crap, but McNabb is going to be the one labeled nationwide as a loser for years to come. -

Really iggy, did you watch last year's game? While McNabb did not play great Todd Pinkston was directly responsible for two of those picks. -

But even if he doesn't play decent, if they lose he is still a rookie. The Pittsburgh media will get over it. If McNabb loses, in any fashion, he becomes one of the biggest losers of all time. -

The reasons show why a loss is more acceptable for Pittsburgh than Philly. Look at Tyler's statement. If BenRo loses, but plays decent people will accept him. If McNabb loses, there is no reason on earth that will protect him. -

The Philly media hasn't really been going after anyone this week. There are a few dipshits coughStevenA.Smithcough who are trying to blame the fans for last year's loss "oh the fans were too negative and it rubbed off on the players" and are already setting up to blame the fans if the Eagles lose this week. But there have been a lot of articles talking about how the players don't care about the history, blah blah blah, a whole lot of let's not talk about what has happened and it might go away. -

This sentence is a great description of the pressure each faces. BenRo can afford to lose in style, McNabb can afford to lose under no circumstance. -

I don't see it as more pressure, because not as much is expected of him. If they lose there are plenty of valid reasons (losing to the Pats [the best team in years] and the fact he still is a rookie [no matter how good of a rookie he has been]). If McNabb loses, there is nothing. Pointing at TO will not be sufficient and no one is going to care about the receivers not showing up again (at some point McNabb has to be able to take over this game or else he is choking). -

While it would not be McNabb losing the games himself, he is still the franchise player on the team that lost 4 straight title games. If the Steelers lost, they are losing to the 2 out of 3 year Super Bowl champions, with a rookie QB who is trying to make history by being the first rookie QB to ever go to the SB. Steelers fans will have next year to look forward to with a more experienced Roethlisberger. Eagles fans will wonder what god has against us and missing TO will not justify it because they are a better team than the Falcons and should win anyway. I think you are seriously underrating what the reaction in Philly is going to be if the Eagles lose.
