Get used to Murdoch's body style. If they're going to seriously enforce the "no steroids, no drugs" policy, at least in the short term, you're going to see more people with bodies like Murdoch. And some of the faces attached to those bodies may belong to people you've known and cheered for, so are you going to suddenly hate on them because they now have more realistic bodies? How about this crazy idea: people are backing this guy more because of the two workers, he's the better one. So it's immaterial to us that he's not a roid gorilla.

Oh god, I so wish she was alive now. You know why? The answer is so obvious. They have Dusty already on the payroll. If Sapphire was still around, and able to play Shelton's mama, we could get a fucking EPIC storyline where it's revealed that Shelton is the bastard love child of Dusty Rhodes & Sweet Sapphire. I mean, yeah, the age thing is a little screwy, but since when has logic or facts ever stopped the WWE before? Plus you could STILL do the Goldust / Shelton team-up, only this time with both men as 'brothers'. I guaranfuckingtee that it would be 100x better than what we actually get.

I'm looking forward to Underworld 2, since 1) I liked the first one, 2) I like Kate Beckinsale, and most importantly, 3) I like Kate Beckinsale in tight leather. When's Slither coming out? I'm surprised some of you aren't wondering that, seeing as it stars one of your beloved Firefly actors.

I wouldn't put too much faith in this being the last X-Men flick. Maybe the last X-Men flick for a few years, but not the last ever. Too much of a cash cow. And personally I'd be fine with Tom Cruise as Iron Man. The good parts of an Iron Man film - the action - will have him in the armor, and that will hopefully be CGI. Let's just hope all future Marvel comics movies won't be as boring as Fantastic Four. I didn't dislike FF, I thought it was okay, but Jesus, it took them two hours to finally get to the fighting.

Oh my god. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.

That went way, way longer than it had any right to.

Masters is certainly the gayest looking bailiff ever. BTW, Vince playing a judge has got to be part of some sort of revenge fantasy on his part, right?
-
That was entirely pointless.

Yes. This board blows. Just like every board. Or, Mike could just kill the hardcore section. If he did that, dozens of people here would have no further reason to even post on this board.

Ain't that the fucking truth. Two things from these news bits I felt were especially glaring. 1. As much as I like Alexis Laree, I'm willing to put good money that she gets shit on if they turn Trish heel. Turning Trish heel would be apropos for this company, seeing as the storyline they seem to be giving us was that Mickie was the well-meaning Trish stalker who will one day snap on her idol after Trish rejects her for coming on too strong.....so instead, they turn TRISH heel. I don't think it'll work, I can't see the fans cheering Laree over her. 2. If they don't want Cena getting booed as if he was a heel, putting him in a program with HBK is really, REALLY not the way to go.

Said it before, I'll say it again: 2005 is a terrible year for the WWE, talent-wise. Nothing but guys getting fired or injured or hooked on drugs or quitting or, occasionally, dying.

Meltzer's take on WWE wrestlers' reactions to Guerrero angle
Vyce replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
True. But at the same time, Jericho was the first undisputed champion, he main evented Mania, he was always consistently over / popular even when he wasn't getting good pushes, and he was a big deal back when he debuted, especially all of his early interactions with the Rock. So I can see how Meltzer would consider him to be one of the WWE's biggest stars of the past decade. I think it's likely him. -
Stupidest/Worst/Most Offensive Smackdown (Special)
Vyce replied to Fuzzy Dunlop's topic in The WWE Folder
a non-smark answer Since the Undertaker is already the Dead man, how can Orton be prosecuted for attempting to kill him. Why should any of this confound you now? The WWE have done this before with death / murder angles. Hell, does anyone remember the Kane / Shane feud? Shane LITERALLY tried to kill Kane via vehicular manslaughter and the company, including the announcers, sold him as the BABYFACE because of it. Or how about Kurt Angle & Big Show? Anyone remember Big Show chokeslamming Kurt like 25 feet off a stage back when Kurt was GM? Show tried to kill a man, and when he came back a couple months later, that was barely even mentioned. I agree that they need to stop doing death / murder angles. Their angles and storylines are usually ridiculous enough, but those specific angles are just so incredibly absurd that I just can't imagine even the marks being able to take them seriously. I'm not some big anti-sports entertainment guy, but goddamn, there are better ways to add drama to a feud without having one of the wrestlers faux murder his opponent. I suppose this is what you get, though, when you hire soap-opera & sitcom writers instead of people who know a fucking thing about wrestling before they applied for the job. -
The ending was fantastic though.

It seems as if the majority of the Drawn Together episodes for this season are focusing primarily on Captain Hero, Foxy, and Spanky. Those ARE their best character.

I cannot disagree more about Tool. Not only are they great, but Lateralus is brilliant and one of the best albums of the last 10 years. That's right. That album you like by one of your favorite bands? Lateralus is better than it.

On pre-emptively killing DoCock gimmicks.

This is why I don't go on AIM. I fear one of you will post our incredibly inane conversations for all to see. -
I'd figure it for Rey's wife. They were close to the Guerreros, so Eddie's death, I could see it having that sort of reaction on her.

I 'get' Radiohead, I just feel like some of their later albums aren't as good or inspiring as their earlier work. I am ashamed to say that I like Coldplay, but these days they're pretty much just concerned with cementing themselves as the new U2. I'm with Czech on Weezer. I've thought that a few of their songs are OKAY. Not really bad, but certainly nothing that noteworthy, and why they're so popular with some people confounds me. For example, I absolutely hate that "Beverly Hills" single. I don't get Frank Zappa at all. I don't think I've ever heard a Zappa song that I've even remotely liked. Unless it was a song that I didn't realize was done by Zappa, maybe that's happened before.

It's been a couple years since I've seen Ho1kC, so what was the explanation for Dr. Satan again? Who was he? WHAT was he? It seemed quasi-supernatural, which really didn't mesh that well with the Fireflys, who were just straight up serial killers.

Now I understand... it was an apology. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That goes in my sig.

I read about the Lawler / Rhodes Starrcade thing, which also featured a lot of Terry Funk, and god help me, it seems fascinating to me. I'd probably buy a tape of that.

You would look good at 120. I need to see your ribs.

There's a whole board devoted to that topic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, you would know. You're the former expert on that topic.

Double post. I blame Leena for the ending, seeing as she's the resident Orton mark, and I like to point fingers at people.
