So did I -- I think we're the only two at this place that liked it... I enjoyed it, but I thought it was only a "decent" film - good for what it was (a spooky haunted house horror flick), but it didn't really live up to the hype.....at least, it didn't live up to the hype of its original Japanese version (which I haven't seen yet, so I'm not sure if the original Japanese film(s) are better than the remake). And as it was only a "decent" flick, I'm kind of surprised that it's going to wind up making 100 million or more.

That "only two Sith" thing is bullshit. Hell, in the comics and the Clone Wars animated series - which Lucas has licensed, mind you - you have at least THREE sith: Palpatine / Sidious, Dooku / Tyrannus, and Asajji Ventress. The trailer looked good (I'm not having kittens about it like everyone else, cause I remember all too well how excited I was for the first two and was sorely disappointed), but as far as I'm concerned Lucas had better knock this one out of the park. There's going to be PLENTY of movies to spend my cash on this summer (Batman, Fantastic Four, etc.), he'd had better make this last one good if he wants my business.

Jacqueline. Trinity has a nice body, she's just a butter face. Jacqueline though......*shudders*

This is sort of an aside, but I just finished watching the season opener, this year's "Treehouse of Horror", and all I have to say is: Ugh. Maybe the worst Treehouse EVER.

Actually, we'd settle for deporting all of the blithering morons to Europe, so we can laugh at them from afar. -=Mike The fact that there are so many people like him, Mike, makes me question Darwin's whole theory about how natural selection is meant to weed out the weak

I finally got around to reading Avengers 503 today. I'm pretty much on the Bendis hate-wagon now. And I'd like to take a baseball bat or two to the Marvel editors for deciding to just give their "star" writers carte blanche to fuck up their properties.

This movie looks tremendous. I can easily see it being a big hit and will, hopefully, spawn many sequels (there is already 10 books in the series). For those who haven't read the books, please consider doing so - they're enjoyable and amusing.

My all-time favorite Kent Brockman line comes from the astronaut episode, when Homer accidentally breaks the ant farm, and Brockman thinks that giant ant invaders are coming to enslave humanity. Brockman: "I, for one, welcome our new ant-overlords...."

What info do you have on Rumble Roses? I've been interested in picking it up every since I head about it, but I'm concerned about the gameplay and the relatively low number of playable characters. Does it also have a CAW mode?

What percentage Native American? I'm something like 1/8th.

The "Clair believes everything" part was kinda funny, too The absolute twisted freak in me, I must say, got a cheap laugh out of the "Monster's Ball" parody. "Make me feel good!"

The only reason Terry's still around, I figure, is because he's buddies with the Clintons and Hillary, as of now at least, has to be considered the frontrunner for a 2008 nomination. Otherwise, his ass would have been gone by like, TODAY.

I'm eagerly pulling for a Rumsfeld departure. Outside of Ashcroft, he's the guy I think really, really needs to go.

Someone had better place tubby on suicide watch.

Bush is going to speak at the Reagan building at 3 p.m. Just three months ago, I worked in the D.C. Council building literally feet away. Christ, I'd LOVE to be there right about now.

Is IS officially over, as Kerry has conceded. Thank GOD.
-
Kerry has conceded.
-
Kerry has conceded. It's finally over. Our long national nightmare is over.

Honestly, I have to agree with Jobber about Fox - they've called Ohio for Bush, and that IS factually correct, but they're too scared to go ahead and call one of the other races - which would definitively establish that Bush is the winner. I'm afraid I'm going to punch out for now, and hopefully wake to Kerry giving his concession speech. Good morning to you all.
-
What a surprise - the Democrat Secretary of State stuck his nose in the New Mexico race, and suddently Bush's lead has diminished. And Bob, where do you keep getting this info about Kerry winning Nevada? Even those who aren't reporting the Nevada result are indicating it's going for Bush.

CNN officially calling it for Thune. Martinez has declared victory (and is leading with 99% of precincts in) but Castor is refusing to admit defeat. And man, I'm still amazed at how chicken shit the networks are to call anything for Bush. It's a FORGONE CONCLUSION now.
-
Thune is giving his victory speech on CNN. I'm indifferent to most Senate races - but I'm GLAD that he beat Daschle. I can't stand the prick. Are you "saddened and dismayed" at losing, Tom?

Ohio vote difference is STILL 145k. But.....but....the Democrats said that.....that it close to just 50 thousand votes! ......yeah. GIVE IT UP.
-
Michelle Malkin is on FOX News. Hmm.......might still have enough energy to crank out a batch.
-
I'm genuinely surprised by the popular vote totals. I figured Bush would win, but not by that much. With 95% of precincts reporting, Bush is up by almost 4 million votes.
