Three matches?

Some more fun Vince stuff: From RR96, when the first Swat Team Member comes out...if you don't know, these guys are about 5-6, 400 pounds. He says something to the effect of... "Well, there's a curiously shaped fellow!" Then in Summerslam 90, in the Hogan/Earthquake match (and let me just add that I completely forgot until tonight that Quake came off the top rope in that match), after Quake gives out two Earthquakes to Hogan, and Hogan kicks out as always: Vince: I'm sorry folks, but one of the greatest careers of all time is coming to an end here at Summerslam. Piper: HE KICKED OUT! Vince: He what? Piper: HE KICKED OUT! And an unintentionally funny one during the Taker/Faker match after Faker hit a chokeslam and then stood around. Vince: And nothing is happening!

The Spinal Shock rocks. Who cares if a woman uses it, especially someone as hot as Vicky?
-
None of them will win it. Like WM2000, we'll get a last second fourth entrant to the match, who will end up winning. Who, you ask? Kevin Nash, of course!

I don't have a big problem with the list, though the Rumble wasn't the best one ever. And HHH/HBK from the Rumble was maybe **. It isn't anywhere near the best matches of the year so far.

FALLOUT FROM NO WAY OUT; EDDIE'S FIRST NIGHT AS WWE CHAMP Feb. 19, 2004 When he is in his usual mood, Brock Lesnar is one of the most fearsome and formidable Superstars to ever enter the ring. On SmackDown!, expect to see a side of Lesnar never seen before as he has not one, but two targets for his anger. At No Way Out, not only did Lesnar lose the WWE Championship to Eddie Guerrero, but he did so in part because RAW Superstar Goldberg lived up to his promise to make Lesnar “next” and interfered in the match between Lesnar and Guerrero last Sunday. Who will the now ex WWE Champion target first for revenge? Find out on SmackDown! Speaking of the WWE Championship, SmackDown! will be the first for Eddie Guerrero as WWE Champion. After an emotional night at No Way Out, Guerrero will have a moment that only a select few ever get to experience – the opportunity to enter the ring as the reigning WWE Champion. After all of the adversity Guerrero has faced throughout his life, don’t miss what should be a very special night for him on SmackDown! However, expect Guerrero’s celebration to be short-lived as his first challenger is already in place. Thanks to his victory in the Triple Threat Match at No Way Out, Kurt Angle – the man Guerrero last eliminated from the from the SmackDown! Royal Rumble Match to gain the opportunity at No Way Out – is the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XX. With some tension already existing between the two during from the days leading to No Way Out, an Angle-Guerrero rivalry should bring nothing but the best from these two competitors. The rivalry could begin to take shape this week on SmackDown! See all of this and the rest of the fallout from No Way Out on SmackDown! at 8/7 CT on UPN. The Road to WrestleMania XX is in its final stretch … don’t miss it!

On the NWATNA website - "Due to unforseen circumstances, Joanie Lauer will not be appearing on Wednesday's TNA PPV." I really don't care...but it's TNA news nonetheless.
-
Maybe they could spoof that "wazzup" ad...man, that would be quite the knee slapper.
-
I agree. I guess we're in the minority, though.

The match that has been called "The Summerslam Shitfest"? 1/2*, at the most. They can throw the two big IC title ladder matches on there. I thought it was good when I first saw it...but I haven't seen it since. Was it that bad? and Shane Douglas is famous for being a big dickhead who burned his bridges with every promotion, and several times in some cases. I don't remember that match being that bad either. As for the DVD, I figure they might put one out if/when he resigns with the company. I figure if he does, they'll probably put one out...I mean, even if they don't want to push him to the top he IS popular, and it's all about making cash.
-
WWE could make some money on it, don't you think?
-
Cool, thanks. Anyone else?

They're dazed from the elbow drop, man!
-
He's been "tuning up the band" since what...95-96? I don't have a problem with it, it helps get the crowd into it.

Please, NO SPOILERS!!!!! Is the replay worth ordering? Or, if someone wants to message me a link to the webcast, I have tons of wrestling videos on my comp to send back in return. But how was the show? Thumbs up or down?

I was just about to post this. I was at Judgment Day 98 when he faced Val Venis. Val did his "Hello ladies" beginning and then his mic cuts off, and you hear Dustin over the PA say "Hello Val...it's....showtime...." I just got chills from that, it was awesome. Midnight Express for sure. Gotta love "The Chase".

I was watching the 96 Royal Rumble, with Vince and Mr. Perfect doing commentary tonight. I got a few laughs at things they said: Perfect: Who's that? Vince: That's Doug Gilbert! Perfect (suddenly excited) All right! Vince: It's Aldo Montoya! Perfect: He's got the jock on the wrong part of his face! Vince: I don't know about that... Anyways, what are some of the stupid things that Vince said as announcer that you remember? I always remember him calling an inverted atomic drop a backwards piledriver, and his ONETWOTHREEHEGOTHIMNOHEDIDN'T! Anything you remember?

Both he and Vince did, Sass seems to know the whole thing so I'd PM him about it if he doesn't come across this thread. From my understanding however was that Shawn didn't like Vader because he was stiff with him and also was pushing for Sid while Vince didn't like Vader because Vader was slow at the time due to a knee injury, which he later got surgery for. The fact he went and got surgery for it pissed Vince off even more and lead to Vader becoming Kane's bitch. Thus Vader never had a chance in the WWF. I would however still ask Sass for more details. I think he was originally scheduled to have it by then...first at Summerslam, then at Survivor Series, but Sid got put in the Survivor Series match instead.

Both are *****, IMO, and some of my favorite matches ever. I guess I'd go with WM13 just a notch above, because of the great story it told, and the historical significance it has.

Why is Misterio's mask on the line in the match? Or is it, even?

BUT WHO ATTACKED ANGLE? WILL JOSH MATTHEWS SOLVE THIS MYSTERY?
