  1. Yep, pretty much agreed with all your assessments of the show. And that obviousy means that we're both right and everyone who thinks differently is wrong. Nice work Dames! Wish I was with people marking out for Benoit when I watched the damn thing.
  2. Matt Hardy had a nice run until stupid Rene Dupree came along to do his "eliminate a guy, dance, get eliminated" spot. Dammit!
  3. Brock vs. Eddy (WWE title) Bashams vs. Rikishi and Scotty vs. APA vs. WGTT (WWE tag team titles) Big Show vs. John Cena (US title) Rey Misterio Jr. vs Chavo Guerrero Jr. (Cruiserweight title) A-Train vs. The Cat (Hey, that's what it looked like on Smackdown, don't blame me!) Like I said, just some wild guesses. So after that...what does Angle do? Holly? Will Taker be back by then? Will Benoit still be with Smackdown? What about everyone else? Any ideas?
  4. Eh, might have posted this under the wrong thread. Anyways, what the hell _was_ the point of the whole Heyman/Bischoff/Austin thing?
  5. Maybe this was the reason for the Bischoff/Heyman confrontation at the Rumble? Otherwise I can't understand why the hell it even happened.
  6. About the HHH/HBK match, just want to add that I didn't rate it low because it didn't have big spots - it just didn't have much meat to it whatsoever. If it's a Last Man Standing match why not crush the guy's ankle with a chair or the steps? Instead they just punched each other a lot.
  7. Tables match - Blah - * CW title match - So short - * Guerreros - Same thing, anticlimactic - ** Lesnar/Holly - 3 bearhugs in 6 minutes - 1/4* HHH/HBK - after viewing it again, **1/4 - The first 10 minutes was just HHH punching Shawn. Shawn's bump through the table was dumb, because it's not like he jumped and then HHH moved out of the way. He just flat out jumped through a table. Lots of blood, but lots of blood doesn't make a good match. I was expecting a little more brutal of a match. Maybe a pedigree through the announce table that they teased, or Sweet Chin Music into a chair or a big double fall through a table. The finish was blah too. Rumble - Nice Rumble, especially picked up at the end. Slow start, but the end was really nice. ***3/4
  8. And how did Rene get in, but not Rob Conway? Weird.
  9. Yeah, I guess I just wondered from an in-character standpoint why if Heyman hates Benoit and Cena he assigned Benoit to be #1 and didn't do anything to Cena. Maybe he could only assign one number. I understand that Cena probably doesn't have the stamina Benoit has, and it would be nice to bring him out where his rap will be effective. And can anyone tell me why the hell the Cat is in this thing?
  10. Does anyone else think they're going to do some angle tonight so Cena enters the Rumble #2, so he and Benoit start together? Maybe it's already been discussed, but I don't get why in the storyline Heyman would make Benoit start at #1 but then not do anything to Cena. I was actually surprised he didn't make Cena #2 last week after the whole soap incident. What do you guys think?
  11. Yeah, if you have high speed it's just like watching any other video on your computer - not DVD quality by a long shot, but not bad at all.
  12. I like MLW from what I've seen - just more wrestling to see, and the last show was fairly fun, aside from the Dutt/Evans botchfest. Ever imagine, though, how confusing MLW must be to somebody who just flips by and starts watching it without following anything online? It must be impossible to do. They need to make things clearer to people, I think.
  13. Major League Wrestling is in negotiations to bring Ken Shamrock into the promotion. They have yet to finalize terms, but it appears he will be coming in at this time. They were actually hoping to announce his debut during the TV tapings in Orlando earlier in the month, but hadn't come to terms. If Shamrock comes in, word I get is he will be working heel. As I noted on my Premium hotline this week, after seeing the return episode of MLW TV, Teddy Hart and Steve Corino are absolutely working an angle, so they must have made amends after their spat backstage in Orlando at the MLW tapings. According to a press release sent out by the promotion on Thursday, this weekend's edition of MLW's Underground TV will feature Jerry Lynn vs. Mike Modest, Vampiro vs. Raven in a "Screwface" Match, Los Maximos vs. The Havana Pitbulls, plus a JJ Dillon interview and clips of the Terry Funk vs. Steve Corino Barbed Wire I Quit Match. Gary Hart, Court Bauer, and Jerry Lynn will appear on Eric Gargiulo's radio show this Saturday in the Philadelphia market. For more information, visit www.prowrestlingradio.com. The promotion will be releasing their 9/03 Wargames event from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on video and DVD in February. I was in attendance at that show and it was a really good live event.
  14. Man, I just registered. Wonder how long until I get myself banned... And Raven gave her an STD? Oh man...
  15. Well, there's a copy of it on Kazaa, but it's HUGE, and I can only find one guy with it, so it's hard to get. I've heard of some other people who got it. Just wondering...
  16. So they brought him back...why?
  17. Anyone know where I can get some WCW stuff?
  18. Thanks for posting. What'd you think of the show?
  19. That's it?
  20. How was Fairplay on the mic? Is he going to be with Jarrett? Thanks.
  21. So Douglas beat Skipper and Daniels? What the hell is the point of booking the young faces in a handicap match and having them lose? I don't get the story of that match.
  22. Jerry Lynn coming back? Didn't expect that.
  23. Wow...hope this isn't representative of the buyrate...
