You're right, I was thinking they lost Game 1, but that was the Jeff Maier game. They lost Game 2. Kenny Rogers helped make Game 4 of the World Series my favorite game of all time. If he hadn't given up those 6 runs, would there be a dramatic comeback, an amazing 1-0 win in Game 5, and the finale in Game 6? Rogers' start was a huge swing game in that series. Of course, he didn't do very much.

The 1996 Yankees is my personal all-time favorite team. They had no superstars, but were nitty gritty group that came together throughout the season.
