Aside expanding the playoffs to include a wildcard and expanding to 3 divisions (Which just happened to come into being during his regime, I'm not sure on his involvment on that) he's pretty useless. Edit > I also am highly against the idea of every MLB team having to retire Jackie Robinson's 42. I appreciate and admire the guy for what he did for the game and all, but 42 will be retired for Mariano Rivera and no one else, especially one who was never a Yankee (And was a big rival in the Giants/Dodgers/Yankees days)

New York Giants Currently hold choice #4. They've contacted San Diego about moving up to 1 to draft Eli Manning. While Eli would be a solid choice, he won't help the team get back to the playoffs this year because he'd likely ride the bench behind Kerry Collins. Assuming they don't trade up, I think Manning-Gallery-Fitzgerald will go in the top 3, leaving what for the Giants? They want the QB, but they need the OL and defense like safety Shawn Taylor of Miami, I'm not sure where he'll end up as far as the first round goes. Maybe if they are sure that Oakland is taking Larry Fitz, they could wheel and deal with 'Zona to get 3 to nab Robert Gallery if he goes that high. If they aren't able to trade up, I think they should trade down to someone desperate to get at someone like Roy Williams before anyone else gets the chance. Then they could get more choices, and take Shawn Taylor or Phillip Rivers if they really want a QB (Which I said in another thread before) I think they should focus on Gallery, however. I've heard nothing but awesome comments on him and they have one of the if not the worst offensive line in the NFL.

The Giants have had a terrible off-season. They lost all 3 starting LB's and cut 2 RB's. Lots of guys left via free agency and I couldn't believe they cut Mike Barrow. I'm very much on the fence of who I want them to take in the draft, be it Manning, Gallery, or Taylor. However if someone falls to them at pick #4 they don't really need (like Fitzgerald) they should trade down and scoop up some more picks, then if they really want a stud QB of the future they could get Rivers somewhere in the middle of the first round or so.

2003 New York Giants - The team was reloaded in several areas of need (a new kicker, punter, long snapper, and returner) all of which were injured and one had an awful season. Not to mention the horrid O-Line and the numerous injuries. Kerry Collins, Jeremy Shockey, Luke Pettitgout, Shaun Williams, Keith Hamilton, Omar Stoudmire, Will Allen, Will Peterson. They were decimated, went 4-12 and lost their last 7 or 8 games of the season.

It's not as if New Jersey could go through everything that we would have to go through to land the Expos by next season. You would need some sort of vote I'm sure, public approval, and oh yeah, a stadium. It's more likely the 'Spos are still playing a split Montreal/San Juan schedule in 2005 then be in NJ any time soon anyway.

Figuring we split with each division opponent, we could get in the playoffs at 9-7 or 10-6 if everything goes right. (I hate when people use "we" for their teams also. I don't know why I do it, but I only do it for football and not baseball)

The Bills don't count, they aren't a metro area team, they're all the way upstate. This would not work. The Yankees and Mets have generations of fans in the NY/NJ/CT areas (I myself am a third generation Yankee fan). The Expos would not be able to just grow a fanbase out of thin air, especially with those two teams within shouting distance anyway.

[While showing A-Rod atbat]" - Home run clip - ) - 'Budwieser Hot Seat' It's just too cheesy. "You are officially now on/off the Budweiser Hot Seat." - The pimping of Dan Patrick on the 6:00 SportsCenter. I'm pretty sure nobody watches it for the hosts. - That goon Mike Greenberg. Not only do I have to avoid him when he's on TV, but he's also on NY ESPN radio. Good God I hate that voice and his gay ass face. Keith Russel has a very goofy voice, he is only on ESPNews however and I never see him anymore. - Stat Boy hosts Around the Horn. It's not that that's that bad. It's that he uses Max's catchphrases like "These four things I know are true" - On PTI a few weeks ago, they had a segment where they make rankings on a felt board. They have a bunch of different onest which they have to come up with a top 5 for. Well, they were doing it on the top sports championships. They had to choose from Super Bowl, BSC Title game, NCAA tourney, World Series, Masters, Olympics, Daytona 500, World Cup (Soccer) and NBA Finals. There list was Super Bowl (1), NCAA Tourney (2), Masters (3), NBA Finals (4), and Daytona 500 (5). A show that constantly blasts racing and talks nothing but baseball and football and WORLD SERIES DIDN'T MAKE THE LIST. I was rather irked. - The baseball games have too much going on. They have the players and managers mic'ed up. They talk to the pitcher in the clubhouse. They have guest announcers. The Bottom Line is constant. Graphics are all over the place pimping other things on ESPN. AHhhhhhhhh it hurts my head. What else you got?

Early in Austin's initial title run, I remember Vince giving Goldust a shot at the title to get Foley psyched up or something. Afterwards Foley gave a promo where he flipped out on Vince for not getting the shot "Come on Vince...GOLDUST???!!!" and Vince like his intensity or whatever and gave him a PPV title shot.
