Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to Diamonddust's topic in WWE Multimedia
Yeah, 1950s is oddly a better era for surviving wrestling footage. The Dumont archives are still around, though I don't know who owns that footage. -
Great to see Ron Simmons' title win over Big Van Vader added.

Let's Talk About...Dusty Rhodes' WWF stint
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
He was dancing like that LONG before that WWF stint. -
I think what I find troubling in this is the idea that society can take away one's children when it sees the parents mentally unfit. I mean physical abuse is one thing. But in other situations, is this what a free society is all about?

I doubt they'd dishonor a long term service agreement, that'd be seriously bad PR. Now if they CEASE operation, you're out of luck.

The pink backpack seems to be a trend.

I was ticked that they raised rates on the family plan radios, specifically after promising not to raise rates. "It was only promised not to raise the base rate." Meanwhile service has suffered. The MLB package is the only thing that keeps me attached to satellite radio.

Jonathan Sanchez Can someone PM Bored for me? I need to run to work.

Going through this draft, I think 50% of my criteria is long term potential. I'm only moderately concerned with 2008 performance.

Most surprising addicting game
EVIL~! alkeiper replied to LivingLegendGaryColeman's topic in Video Games
Tetris Mike Tyson's Punch Out- You can beat this game in a little over 30 minutes. Why am I still playing it after 20 years? NCAA Baseball 2006- Gains more traction as former collegiate players become recognizable pros. Intelligent Qube -
I watched Vernon Wells on a rehab stint last season. Both he and Shannon Stewart took time to sign autographs, and also contributed items to the charity auction.

No, for two reasons. One, it wasn't exposing at all. Only when Bob Zmuda's book on Andy Kaufman came out did anyone admit to it being fixed, and it had quite a few people guessing up until then. Second, wrestling has been "exposed" all the way back in the 1920s or '30s.

Jayson Werth was my favorite Oriole to Blue Jay.

It's interesting looking at the matches in retrospect and seeing what a hand NBC must have had. Several matches had noticeable stops in the action that allowed for commercial breaks. It's a rare match that exceeds ten minutes in length, and only Twin Towers/MegaPowers went longer than 15.

Ibanez is 3 years/$30 million.
-
Kmart has it for $20. How low are you hoping to go? The nice thing about Hogan/Andre is that they finally left the entire segment intact. You get Hogan throwing Earl OVER the heels into the aisle.
-
Fucking hell. Now the Ibanez deal REALLY ticks me off.

So now an ex-girlfriend of Roberto Alomar's has claimed he has full blown AIDS. Wow.

They broke the bank on Beltran, Wagner and Santana, took on Delgado's contract, and signed Francisco Rodriguez. To what lengths to Met fans want the team to spend?
