  1. The Sox need to bring in Foulke.
  2. You can feel the bitterness. A-Rod > Jeter
  3. When the Yankees needed an insurance run, Jeter's groundout was CLUTCH~! Oh well, perhaps his mere presence will inspire his teammates to greatness.
  4. Fairly well. Your team is weak at center (Mark Blount), but otherwise not bad.
  5. You can see your team for yourself on the league page.
  6. I'd put Chavez higher than that. His injury hurt his counting stats.
  7. Because most are in the live chat.
  8. Draft is tonight at 8pm ET on Yahoo.
  9. ::Ragtime music plays:: McCarver would play Schiavone's role. Joe Buck's role would be to respond to the chair shot with "Slamma Lamma Ding-Dong!"
  10. And also for the record, no one besides me decides what constitutes a OaO thread.
  11. I merged the threads. And for the record, I would mark out if PBS showed the games.
  12. As he should. His family will still be dead after the postseason. Tasteless I know, but I had to say it.
  13. I'd like to note that the Red Sox and/or Cardinals have been in nine world series since 1946, and every one of them has gone seven games.
  14. Simply because a player's stats are influenced by sample size. A small sample of at bats could be misleading, and not indicative of a player's true level of ability.
  15. Just divide his stats by games played, and multiply by 162. I'd caution against drawing many conclusions from it however.
  16. Casey is a few spots too high. Otherwise a good list.
  17. The thing is, there's choking, and there's being overmatched. Since the postseason is an eight team event, you can rarely say a team SHOULD win the postseason. It is always an uphill climb. Lately the Braves haven't been good enough to win, but they're there because they let four teams in. The fifth best team doesn't get criticized. Why should the third best team get more criticism?
  18. Here you go gang. http://thesmartmarks.com/artman/publish/article_1578.shtml
  19. 1999 wasn't a choke. The Yankees were just better. Ditto with 2001. They couldn't be expected to beat the Diamondbacks.
  20. In fairness, tonight Turner Field registered the second highest attendance in stadium history.
  21. And was a GIDP machine. He hit into 24 this season. Not great, but not quite horrible. He did have alot of baserunners when he came to the plate, in his defense.
  22. Posada did post a .400 OBP.
  23. They have options for both Fox and Fox Sports Net.
  24. I like Ted Turner. He showed what he wanted to watch. And that happened to include Braves baseball and scads of wrestling.
  25. Just a reminder that Live Chat on AIM is also available.... aim:gochat?roomname=tsmbaseball
