Really, if you're not going to hit a god damn thing and you're not going to make ANY play in the field, you had better walk. You know as well as I do that 20 at bats is not a solid indicator of a player's true ability. I wouldn't say Jeter is terrible because he's hitting .200 for the same reason.

27 Games is still a fair amount of games. Although his postseason totals aren't bad at all. .278/.358/.527 postseason, .262/.356/.490 regular season. Jackson was a great hitter in the postseason, and he was a great hitter in the regular season as well. His postseason totals are better, but not insanely better. The more at bats a player gets in the postseason, the more his numbers seem to resemble the regular season. Of course there are exceptions (Mariano Rivera, Bob Gibson), but you tend to get these variations in the regular season as well.
