Speculative pick forthcoming in conjunction with my apparent love affair with the Brew Crew Nuclear HD selects Manny Parra, SP/RP Hes pitched 9 innings so far this spring and given up 1 run and 1 walk. If he doesn't make the team out of training camp I'll hold on to him cause he will eventually and I dont really need the SP right now anyway with Bedard/Vazquez/Guthrie/Zito as well as Nathan/Bell/Shields in the backend.. Plus, Kyle Kendrick who would have been my pick was taken a couple picks ago..blah

Don't forget that catchers are notorious for being late bloomers as well. I'm not sure what it is about the position, but it seems like many guys don't hit their stride until their mid-to-late 20s. With Montero, even if his defense blossoms in the next few years, it might be hard to crack the major league team. Pitchers often call the shots when it comes to what catchers they will use, and a young kid with sketchy English skills and gamecalling experience could be at a disadvantage. Most players don't hit their stride until their mid to late 20s, regardless of position. Several recent catchers have reached the majors and excelled at a young age recently, including Russell Martin, Brian McCann, Joe Mauer. As far as the English language, isn't that a silly statement? Over a third of the catchers in the league right now come from Latin America, and now Kenji Johjima has performed admirably coming over from Japan. Im looking forward to seeing Matt Wieters in an Os uniform as early as late this year, but definitely as a starter next year. He was considered one of the top hitting prospects in last years draft and was compared by everyone to Mauer.

I watched both NWO EC matches on youtube and I have to say that the SD one was just awful. There was no need to have 6 guys fight for the #1 spot when it was pretty clear the only two with any chance were Taker and Batista. A 1 on 1 Taker/Batista match would have been much better. the Raw match was better because everyone in the match at least could have a tad bit of believability in them winning but it got dragged down by having to follow the boring SD EC match. Whoever thought "lets do 2 EC matches on one PPV" should have been fired..terrible idea.

so uh, thats all I have to say about that.

Excellent use of a message board. What the hell is wrong with any of those. Mounds bars suck but I had the fortunate oppertunity to have a Bounty bar and they are 100x better. And yes, Saddam did in fact have a huge stash of them in one of his bunkers. The chocolate skittles are horrible (see post below mine that agrees with me) they taste nothing like chocolate and they have no chocolate in them.. And the bacon bowls are awesome.
