  1. YES! WHOOO! 50 yarder is good! Vols Win! I win!
  2. West Virginia (Loaded Glove, 1-1) vs. Maryland (MarvinisaLunatic, 1-1) Differing Picks WV: Connecticut, Texas Tech, LSU, Notre Dame, Washington, Florida MD: Boston College, TCU,Auburn, Michigan State, UCLA, Tennessee Well, Loaded Glove hit the tiebreaker on the nose so unless the Vols make a quick comeback I lose via the tiebreaker... EDIT Just as I say this they score a TD but miss the damn PAT.. ARGH! Later EDIT I WIN!
  3. If 7 MPG is your definition of shitty, then you're right.
  4. I dont see how the NHL could afford to lose a whole season over this given the sinking ratings and attendence figures. The NHL probably does need to contract a bunch of teams though. The last couple rounds of Expansion really hurt. What teams are they? One of them had to be the Capitals..and I don't think anyone would miss them if they did fold/move.
  5. Im waiting for a connection between being overweight and helping terrorists..
  6. Same goes for me.... I get FOX out of NY as well as FOX out of LA so I also get Simpsons episodes at 9:00 pm, 10:30 pm and 2:00 am. Not that I usually watch them, but its nice that I know that they are on if I cant find anything else on.
  7. I wasn't going to vote for him this time around anyway. I'll write in vote for Bob Saget before I'll vote for Bush though.
  8. Gangrel should now have the power to dump oil all over his opponents in the dark instead of blood. And if they move Gangrel to RAW, they could move Viscera with him and team him with Rosey...Super Rosey and Big Vis...
  9. Basically, next week in the first hour 1 team gets eliminated and then the final 3 go at it for the win in the 2nd hour.
  10. Quite honestly the Ravens should be like #31 after that miserable performance vs the Browns.
  11. The only thing I know for sure is that if a tipped employee's reported tips aren't as high as the IRS thinks they should be (the IRS uses a % of restaurant sales I think to figure a rough estimate for reported tips),I think the IRS usually comes after the Restaurant, not the employee for the difference. So if a waitress sucks so bad that she doesn't get a lot of tips, the restaurant would probably have to pay the difference. Of course, she would probably be fired before it came to that so it really doesn't matter.
  12. 1 -Vince says that Bischoff will have to get re-elected to remain GM and he puts Steph up as his opponent. Bischoff will go "fan friendly" over the next few weeks to try and win support, including not sicking Kane on everyone for the hell of it. 2 - All the stuff related to Taboo Tuesday.
  13. I figure it won't be worked, but they'll have it so there are only like 3 choices and each choice will sort of make sense. HBK, Jericho and Orton will probably be the 3 choices.
  14. This was discussed in one of the classes I had (Restaurant Mgmt.) and as far as I understood: The Fair Employment Act states that no one can make less than minimum wage. But for tipped employees, their wage is figured as base salary plus tips, so technically, even though the waitress is making less than minimum wage (often around $2/hr), they are still paid above minimum wage when tips are factored in. Restaurants are able to sell food cheaper because they don't have to make up the $3+ difference between the $2/hr that waitresses get and the minimum wage. If wait staff were paid in line with everyone else and tips weren't required, you would see food prices rise by at least 25%, if not a lot more.
  15. Last week I got a call at 1 am to go in to work at 5 am. Gotta love that 4 hours advance notice policy.
  16. Doesnt that F-Zero cartoon start too?
  17. Bitch, please. Im sure the degree in stripping allows her to make more money than if she didn't have that degree.
  18. They need to focus more on getting people who drive while talking on their cell phones.
  19. It shouldn't be that bad now that colleges are back in session.
  20. The only reason he got arrested was because the tip was included in the actual check and he didn't pay it, so in escense he wasn't paying the full amount of the check. If the tip isn't included in the bill, they couldn't have done anything about it, other than make their next visit rather miserable. Im not a big fan of the mandatory tip, but if you have a large party, then chances are the server/waitress will have to do a lot of work for your one group that they wont be able to cover as many tables. if they get stiffed on your large party they end up being out quite a bit. So its probably a good thing that most places have mandatory tips for large parties.
  21. Play as the Ravens.. I took a shutout on the browns in week 1 on 2005 into the 4th quarter with a fumble and Int return for TD among my scoring. In the 4th, Garcia hit someone deep and I had McCallister on coverage and I went for the hit stick and got burned for a 73 yard TD. I went on to win 34-7. It was funny though, because the Browns were able to stop Jamal just as in real life week 1..
  22. I was planning to use my free ticket to see this but from the sounds of it, its not even worth that.
  23. Im totally glad that I had to work today and missed the ass kicking the Ravens got. Im taking odds on how long it is before Kordell Stewart is in as the Starter and they scrap the whole Kyle Boller project...it won't be too long.
  24. Thursday California Friday Boston College Saturday Pittsburgh Michigan Maryland TCU Ohio State Oklahoma Auburn Wisconsin Florida State Michigan State Clemson UCLA Tennessee USC Minnesota Tiebreaker #1: How many total points will be scored in the Connecticut/Boston College game? 31 Tiebreaker #2: How many yards rushing will Cal's J.J. Arrington have against Southern Miss? 165
  25. I WISH I was working at fast food. Working at a hospital sucks. I've done 4 straight 13 hour shifts (5 am to 7pm) and I've got one more. Normally I wouldn't have so many, but just about everyone in the dietary dept. is out on vacation/sick and being the new guy, I have to pick up everyones shift. I'll have a nice paycheck, but whats having a lot of money when I only have about 2 hours between the time I get home and the time I need to go to bed to work the next day for 5 straight days (needless also to say that I feel like crap after 13 hours at work on my feet all day). I have to work from 5 to noon saturday as well, but Im leaving early to go to the Orioles/Yankees game and if there's no one there then the old people won't be getting their dinner and I really don't care, because I let them know about it 3 weeks ago.
