What's the story with this one? Basically, it's Mike Patton's "pop" album, or his collaberations with various artists and producers (Jel, Doseone, Kool Keith, Dub Trio, Norah Jones (yes, you read that right. It's suprisingly good), Odd Nosdam, Kid Koala, Dan The Automator, Rahzel, Amon Tobin, and Massive Attack), and it's fun.

I dug it, though they are a guilty pleasure to me. It's fun, inoffensive pop, and there's nothing wrong with a bit of that. I do hate Fall Out Boy though.

Some quick mussings .Interpols Antics is a better album than Turn Off The Brightr Lights, IMO. The songwriting's better, and the album as a whole just sounds more focused. Also, "Song Seven" (that's the name of the song) is awesome. .The new album from Pzychobitch (they are an electro/EBM (aka "industrial dance)act) is cool. Fun electro with some dark bits, and even German vocals. Plus, the frontwoman is really fucking hot. Basically, it's Goldfrapp's Supernature , only darker and sleazier. Milky (get well soon) would probably like it. .Peeping Tom (Mike Patton's new project) is awesome. I can't quit listening to it.

Syd Barrett 1946-2006 RIP And now, onto other things -I got Edward Lee's "The Bighead" last Saturday, and so far, it's great, and really disgusting. So far, it has consumption of shit, piss, rape, inbred rednecks, a profane priest, a nymphomaniac, cannibalism, hardcore sex, a disgusting bit with a colostomy bag, murder, a newborn baby having it's head bashed in, a pair of evil perverted nuns from hell, and more. And I'm not even half way done. I'll get to a review of it when I'm done, though at this point, it looks like a review of Joe Lansdales zombie western "Dead in the West" won't be for a long while. -I got Thom Yorke's "The Eraser" Yesterday, and it's great. A lot of glitchy techno, with gutiar and bass only appearing (seperatly) on two tracks. Felonies said it reminded him of recent Radiohead b-sides, and I agree-and think that it's a good thing. I dig glitchy, weirds techno. -There's problems right now between Isreal and Hizbollah. Well, what's new? I'm sorry, but there's always been problems in the Middle East. There have been problems in the Middle East for God knows how long. So, what do I think? Well, we can't settle it with war, because we can't get in another war. At the same time though, we can't solve this diplomatically, because as the past has proven, there is no real diplomatic solution right now, or possibly even in the future. -"Little Man" is the number 2 movie in America right now, and proves once again that the majority of movie goers today are idiots. -"The Venture Brothers" and "Tom Goes To The Mayor" continue to kick ass on Adult Swim. You keep living in your own little world where the US Government is the cause of every problem in the world (though they are the reason for the Iraq war) and reading Chomsky you sterotype that makes me ashamed to have liberal viewpoints. Do you post on Democratic Underground, because you would totally fit over there (no joking either) In other words, just give it up already. I do think we need to leave Iraq. The thing is though, that we can't leave right away, because if we do, then things will not somehow get instantly better. These things take time, and while the US Government is going to have to clean up the mess they have made, they are going to need some time to clean it up completly, and leaving right away is not going to do that: it's only going to create more chaos and disorder.

Fun fact: Starship Troopers is Takashi Miike's favorite (American) movie.

I'm listening to Thom Yorke's The Eraser right now. I'm really liking it so far.
