  1. I didn't know he was the grandmaster with the three MCs that shock the house for all the young ladies.
  2. The spike piledriver was deemed illegal. The Brain Busters often used it behind the referee's back in late 88-early 89 to score wins. That still doesn't explain why the illegal men would also be DQd (a question I had at the time as an 11-year-old mark). illegal move = illegal move spike piledriver = chairshot You'd get DQ'd for doing either, legal man or not.
  3. Yeah, he was working the house show circuit for ECW at that time, often challenging RVD for the TV Title.
  4. Yeah, I didn't realize it until I looked at some wrestling media forums and noticed everybody was posting stuff related to that night. I wondered why, and then I remembered.
  5. I'm not sure where the problem is there. It's not X-Pac heat, so it's good.
  6. Edge loses the match, demands an immediate rematch, ref bump -> HHH attacks Batista -> spear -> Edge wins title and faces Kane at Vengeance.
  7. Apparently not. I'm not a big fan of nostalgia title reigns myself (they never end well). Read my idea and see how it gets around that problem.
  8. In all honesty, I can say I've never heard anyone say that Orton or Batista got over in part because of Flair. However, I'm not seeing where someone who is very over (like Flair) is useless, his age notwithstanding. Don't forget that about two years ago they ran this angle and the crowd ate it up. I think my idea works well because it gives people what they want to see (classic Flair as world champ) without affecting house show gates (90% of his reign would be on the Far East Tour, which is already almost sold out IIRC) and without affecting PPV buyrates (because it would be for 1 week a full two months before the next PPV). In addition, it provides a diversion from the HHH-Batista angle while providing a segue into a SummerSlam match (HHH-Flair). Lastly, it serves as a last hurrah for the in-ring career of arguably the greatest pro wrestler of all time.
  9. Wow. That is surprising (in a good way) and probably just what WWE was looking for. Does anyone know if the "Bad Bad Man" video is in the rotation on any music video channels?
  10. Well, Vis has always been a good role player. One of his advantages due to his size/gimmick is that no matter what level of the card he's on, he is seen as a credible and legitimate threat. Besides moving pretty quickly for a man his size, Vis uses his offensive arsenal pretty well and doesn't blow up nearly as badly as other past superheavyweights (Yokozuna being a prime example; see his frequent use of the Star Trek nervehold to get his breath back). Viscera impressed me with his mic work and natural charisma during his 03-04 tenure in Memphis...he can work face just as easily as he can work heel. I was also impressed in 1995 by how after getting a megapush for 2 months, then buried for the next 4 months, he didn't get a big head or complain. He's also been seriously injured only once or twice in his 15-year career, so that's another upside. Bottom line, Vis is a guy whose talents exceed expectations and I'm glad the creative team is letting him show that every week on RAW.
  11. He says it in this promo: see the transcript.
  12. Yeah, this version was done by Chimaira.
  13. "Never Say Die" is one of my top two favorite Sabbath albums. It is more of a blues-oriented, less doom-and-gloom sound, but I think it works out well. "Hard Road," "Shock Wave," and "Air Dance" are among Ozzy-era Sabbath's best tracks, in my opinion.
  14. Okerlund: The heavyweight champion of the world, Hulk Hogan, readying for a title defense tonight against Hercules, and of course Hulk it happens on your own home turf here in southern California. Hogan: ...and THANK GOD Mean Gene I got my pump back, man! You know, the pythons are READY, the largest arms in the WORLD! And I'm proud they are 'cause I've checked this dude out, Hercules, man; he's got the body of a god. He even looks like the real Hercules and he's definitely stronger, man. But I checked the dude out even farther: he could have been a Greek god! He could have been an immortal! And you know something, Mean Gene? Since he's guided by Bobby "The Weasel" Heenan, I've trained for the dude like he's an immortal, brother. I've been hanging out in the Garden of Eden with my main squeeze Eve. I dove 20,000 leagues under the sea, forty nights and forty days, I hung and bung on the Titanic. And Hercules? *points to palm of left hand, bug-eyed* THIS IS WHERE THE POWER LIES! Okerlund: Just the point I wanted to make, Hulk Hogan. Yes, there will be diverted attention tonight with the presence of Hercules' new manager, Bobby Heenan. Hogan: Well, you know it's the same old story with this Weasel, man. He keeps throwing 'em at me, and I keep knocking 'em down. But you know, Hercules? You're just like everybody else, man: top shelf YOU ARE, because you're guided by Bobby "The Weasel" Heenan, but you're in my way, man. *bug-eyed* You're on my hit list, and you SHALL feel the pythons, brother. And when I'm done with you, hopefully I'll get that little Weasel in this 24-inch python and squeeze his head. But I'm going to the top of the family, Mean Gene. Hercules, you SHALL feel the wrath of the pythons, you SHALL feel the wrath of Hulkamania. *points to palm of left hand, bug-eyed* THIS IS WHERE THE POWER LIES! Okerlund: All right! Get ready! Hulk Hogan, [unintelligble], Vince McMahon let's get back to you. *Hogan goes through spastic pose medley with bug eyed stare into camera*
  15. Wait, Mike is gone?
  16. Anyone like my idea?
  17. With the recent angles on RAW, I think this sets up a perfect chance for Flair to get his 17th title run. Here's how. At Vengeance on June 26 in Las Vegas, Ric Flair pulls the sledgehammer away from HHH through the cell, taking away HHH's advantage. Batista picks up the win and celebrates with Flair. The next night (June 27) on the RAW/SD! Supershow from Anaheim, Batista shows his gratitude by offering Ric a shot at the World Title. HHH comes out and bitches about Flair's interference, so Batista relents and makes it a 3-way match. Flair pins HHH in the 3-way match to win his 17th (official) World title. June 28-July 3: Flair tours Asia with the RAW crew as World Heavyweight Champion. July 4 (RAW/SD! Supershow, Sacramento): We turn the clock back to 1987, as Ric Flair comes to the arena in a stretch limousine. Dressed to the nines, flanked by two gorgeous blondes, and wearing the World Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder, Ric Flair cuts a classic 'champion's promo' that gets the whole ARCO Arena 'woo!'-ing in unison. Batista approaches and challenges the champ to a rematch since he never got pinned. Flair accepts. During the match, HHH interferes and attacks Ric with the sledgehammer while the ref and Batista are down, allowing The Animal to get the pin and regain the World title. Flair gets stretchered out. This allows Flair to be off TV for, say, three weeks, then he can return and attack HHH, setting up a match at SummerSlam.
  18. RAW is brought to you by the The Hilton Omaha Hotel, Nebraska's only four diamond property.
  19. This is the greatest thing i have ever seen.
  20. So if 'E C W' are banned from RAW, is Ri Bishoff the GM of RA?
  21. Keep the Richards-Masters feud running until Vengeance; just have Steven Richards randomly attack him during Masterlock Challenges, eventually causing him to lose one (by distracting Masters).
  22. WCW Special Forces: Booker T Christian Daivari Melina Eric Bischoff Rey Misterio Triple H Edge Shelton
  23. This site was actually available a few weeks ago but was taken offline.
  24. That NC match is most famous for Austin hitting the Stone Cold Stunner on Kane on the roof of the cell.
  25. - Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker (Badd Blood 97) - The Undertaker vs. Mankind (KOTR 98) - Mankind vs. Kane (Raw 1998) - The Undertaker vs. Big Boss Man (WMXV) - Rock vs. Austin vs. Angle vs. Rikishi vs. Undertaker vs. HHH (Arma 00) - HHH vs. Foley (NWO 00) - HHH vs. Jericho (JDay 02) - Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker (No Mercy 02) - HHH vs. Nash (Bad Blood 03) - HHH vs. HBK (Bad Blood 04)
