Crackers don't get nearly enough respect as a snack. Melted cheese and tuna on a Triscuit? That's a quality munchie.

Great spots from Wrestling Video Games
CanadianGuitarist replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Video Games
I can't believe you didn't mention or mark out over mine, Baron. You were giggling when you hit those fucking hail marys every day of Canal Days last summer. -
I did the same for ECW Anarchy Rules. I likedthe second and third titles at the time. They're unplayable now. Was Wrestlemania the Arcade the silly one where you could be UT and hit people with actual Tombstones and what have you? Yeah, I liked it too, if we're on the same page.

I did see the stamp today. I didn't even notice that it was supposed to be an African American dog. Like on the "change the flag" South Park.

How long was Bret actually locked in the Crossfaced Chicken Wing for? I seem to remember, watching as a ten year old, shouting at my dad: "HE'S BEEN LOCKED IN THERE FOR 18 MINUTES AND HE HASNT QUIT!" Yes, I've always been a Hart mark. However, 18 minutes, in hindsight, doesn't sound accurate. Can anyone tell me how long it was on the Hitman for? I can't honestly say where my memory of this came from. It's even more intriguing by the fact that I'm currently drunk.

Hey Al, will the Jays make the playoffs? Will they be around in September? They seem so streaky in all facets, but I say yes to both, but a perhaps to the first. Why/Why not? if you wouldnt mind.

Even I, as a Raiders fan, don't want this. I dislike Moss and despise Owens. Mesiness will ensue.

Western backlash against the Liberals
CanadianGuitarist replied to Dogbert's topic in Current Events
This only re-iterates the fact that it should be a provincial decison and not a national one. Couldn't a gay couple from Alberta cross the border into BC to make the move? Clearly most of Alberta doesn't want it to be. But that's my two cents. -
Seconded. Even if he does drop it at Survivor Series or whatever, he certainly deserved it.

Who is that new ring announcer on RAW???

I prefer Chimel and the Fink. It varies though. I prefer Chimel's call of Austin or The Rock. I prefer Fink's call of the Hitman or Undertaker. -

Ladder match in No Mercy against Red Baron for the title. I set the ladde up, hit him with my special and throw him out of the ring. I climb the ladder and start tapping the a button out of instinct. Ladder's not in the right spot, as it turns out. I wind up diving off the ladder to the outside. And miss. He gets up and re-sets the ladder to win. -
Fair enough. Keep in mind, however, we've had budget surpluses since 1997, we're not exactly pissing money away. I'll second that to a degree, but this again re-inforces our problem of identity. We're far too hung up on what we're not as opposed to what we are.

That's true to a point. I ultimately support the owners, but they're not innocent of blame. As for the comment that players are spoiled babies who play a game, that's got some merit it to it, but come on. I'd still love to he in their shoes, but they don't exactly show up to the arena 45 minutes before the game, get dressed and skate for 2 hours and go home. How many hours a week do you think they put in during the regular season with games, practise, training, pr stuff and travel? Probably 80, 90 hours a week?

You don't report every single thing someone said or else stories would get long and boring. A reporter's job is to pick out the most relevant bits and write a story. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's true. But as a journalist myself, there were plenty of good quotes. Unless you work for Fox News, you try to represent both sides of a story and not villify. As for the topic: Yes. Yes he is.

Not that your point wasn't without merit, but it's a little off base. I think it's naive to say "Iraqi Civilians" in that context. Let's say that one out of every 10 Iraqi Civilan is an insurgent(and that's a pretty conservative estimate). That's still roughly 21 million Iraqis that are either: A) Happy the Coalition is there B) Indifferent C) Bitter, but not starting any shit. Im incredibly opposed to the war, but to say the problems are Iraqi's fault are a little simplistic. Iraq didn't bomb any American sites. Iraq hasn't told the world that they bailed the States out and now they own them. Again, and I can't say this enough, the world is better off without Saddam, there's no two ways about that. And most of your claims have, at the least, had some merit to them. To be fair, Iraq was hardly Utopia in February 2003, but the mess that it's currently in is probably 60 or 70 percent the fault of the coalition.

Mick Foley mentions, in his first book, which I was just re-reading, the value of a year, when Stone Cold had no merchandise in October 96, but was a huge draw in October 97, and thus on. Can anyone else think of any huge differences within a year? The Rock 97/98 spirngs to mind. A nobody with the NOD in October 97, the most over wrestler behind Austin and soon to be World Champ in October 98.

I used to like lays bbq a whole lot more, the taste has changed IMO. I just had some ruffles bbq and it was far too much flavor on them NASTY. LAYS are too salty anyways. The best chips IMO are UTZ as my add brought them from NY for me to try them and they are very good. even the unsalted taste great. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree wholeheartedly. They're almost sweet tasting. Same with Hostess. I'm a mark for Humpty Dumpty BBQ.

That's exactly what I said when this was mentioned on CTV Newsnet Friday morning. The CPC can join with the Bloc for a budget vote, but they're not a legit party when gay marriage is the topic? I understand as Leader of the Opposition, it's his job to disagree(to an extent) with what the party in charge is doing. But Harper is a self serving nut at best. I'm not saying that because I'm a leftist. There's little to no debate there.

Hussan has everyone in the 6 way on the ropes, good to go. Lights go out, Batista shows up. Hussan claims he's been discriminated against and demands a shot against Batista on next week's Smackdown To Raw: Big Show and Mysterio. To Smackdown: Batista and Jericho.

"And bring me some Jah-lap-ano chips back?" "Jalapeno, what flavour's that? It's HA, HA, HALAPENO" Ah, Trailer Park Boys.

I've heard of them. That is all.

Huge week in the AL East for all five teams. Baltimore-New York Monday throuh Wednesday offers some interesting scnearios, as both teams need some wins to prove they're the real deal, evem though i can honestly see both of them in the picture in September. Toronto-Tampa also in a 3 game set. Maybe a series win can revitalize an underrated Tampa team? A series win for the Jays would certainly give them momentum heading into a potentially HUGE weekend set with the BoSox. Even though I'm a fan, I consider the Jays to be a legit threat for October, with a little luck. I can't see Boston having much trouble with the Wigwammers. But any kind of extended Bosox lead in the AL East only makes the wildcard race that much more intersting. Mind you, the next 10 games will decide how the trade deadline day plays out.
