  1. How'd they go through 24 other Botchamania's before the Taker-Hogan bike segment? An 'A' for effort on the part of Taker and JR for trying like hell to save it. I had actually considered posting the Mean Gene one earlier tonight. It's certainly been put up before (at least in General Wrestling), but to my knowledge, the extended one (with Ventura's gold commentary) has only been up for a few weeks.
  2. The Canucks win 3-2 over the Ducks, without the help of Brendan Morrison. It's the first Canucks game since February 2000 that Morrison didn't lace 'em up - 532 games.
  3. Broncos. Too drunk for the rest.
  4. YouTube solved part of the problem with Bret Hart's bitching out Vince, and Kane and Mankind fighting Taker and Austin in HITC, but I miss very much the matches that led up to them: The Bret-Sid cage match on Raw from March 97, and Raw's Tag Team Royal Rumble from June 98. Justin Credible and Tajiri had a really good match on TNN the show after Heatwave 00.
  5. The Habs don't have a 5-on-5 goal in over the equivalent of more than two games. I'd like to say a point is a point, but for all the supposed future snipers on the Habs and in Hamilton, we're not winning many shootouts, are we? What's that, 1-4 on the season? And Strachan said tonight that Guy put the blame on Koivu....and Smolinski's out for six weeks. Sighhhhhhhhhhhhh. Elsewhere, both Alberta teams win via the shootout, and Joffrey Lupul finishes with six points in the Flyers' 8-2 win over the Pens. He has 23 points this year, and 28 last year. Crosby was in on both Pittsburgh goals.
  6. Joffrey Lupul has six points tonight. SIX! Three goals, three assists. I wonder if he'll be called the best player in the league now. Seriously, the Lecavalier thing is a little silly. He's having a great year, no doubt, and he's consistently been one of the better players the last few years, but it seems really Johnny-come-lately, doesn't it?
  7. Absolutely everything Ramsus said. I can't believe I didn't say Manning initially. Can I add Cal Ripken's Holiday Inn commercials to my likes? Treble has made me addicted, indirectly. And even though the latest mishmash was probably bullshit, just Sean Avery to the dislikes.
  8. Posts a lot in Pics I like. Have not heard a single album/song he's listened to in the past few days, save More Than Words (provided it's Extreme...I didn't watch the vid he embedded).
  9. Most liked: * Weir's President's Cup win over Tiger, even if Tiger probably deliberately tanked the last hole. Also, his win at the Frys a month later. * The Redskins' tribute to Sean Taylor, playing a down with ten guys on defence. * I don't remember the date, but it was a Tuesday in either May or June when the Blue Jays overcame a five-run deficit in the bottom of the ninth against Tampa. * Canada's win in the World Juniors, underlined by the win over the States in the semis. * The Masters tournament, as always. Hated: * Tom Brady * Bill Bellichek * Rory Sabbatini * The Michael Vick saga. * The lack of class from Buffalo Sabres fans as a whole during the series with the Sens. The bloodlust over Dany Heatley (as if all of a sudden we had dozens of humintarians in blue and gold. I doubt many of them even know the name of the passenger in Heatley's car.) along with two radio hosts likening Sens fans to Paul Bernardo, was absolutely disgraceful. * April 7, 2007, for reasons Treble said. What I had labelled as "The greatest week of my life" did not quite pan out. It was to feature Wrestlemania, the Masters, a 30-hour famine, my attending the Blue Jays home opener, and an annual golf tournament I play in. Instead, the Habs were knocked from the playoffs, the golf tourney was cancelled due to snow, the 30-hour famine people never got back to me, and my tax return came in, 2000 in the red. I did end a Marvin-level dry spell, but the bulk of my 'great week' reasons are sport-related, so I think I can get away with this anecdote.
  10. Happy UnBirthday....I'll explain shortly.
  11. I've seen him most often in the food folder.
  12. Get them homemade. I'm a little biased since it's a longstanding holiday tradition to have pickled eggs at my grandparents around the holidays, but I have never had a pickled egg at a bar that was any better than "decent" or "not bad". And yeah, the scuzzy bar rule seems to apply.
  13. How legitimate, if it all, was Vader's attack on Good Morning Kuwait, and his subsequent arrest?
  14. I didn't realise that was their fourth straight loss. Even so, they're two back of eighth. Colorado beats St. Louis 9-5!

    HDTV

It is, but my stepdad and I have been arguing about our tv sizes since September. 57 inches is a hell of a lot of television.
  16. I was going to disagree, until I re-read, and noticed you specified NHL. The Canada-States semi from the World Juniors was the best game I've ever seen, ever. But yeah, from what I saw in the bar, last night's game was really really good.
  17. Christ's sake.
  18. Good hockey thread poster.
  19. Is the best new poster we've had in a while.

  21. Perfectly acceptable. Speaking of the Vengas, anyone else figured out why We Like To Party was the main theme of All Star Baseball '05 for the Xbox? (Although, to be fair, the game was actually released, despite the name, in the spring of '04. I guess modern menu music has a window of 3.5 years instead of 4.5) A buddy of mine popped in one day as I was navigating the menus, with WLTP playing, of course. I'm notorious for custom soundtracks with my gaming, so even though this incident was 30 months ago, he still teases me about it.
  22. Few things: First, nocalmike. No problem on the chili. Don't refer to chili cook-offs, however, in mixed presence. A similar argument once led to me likening my mother to Hitler. Also, what happened with the upconverting dvd player I pm'ed you about? (I hate when people refer to dvd players as simply 'dvds')? I'm no longer interested anyway, I've decided since the bulk of my dvd viewings are wrestling and porn, that I'm probably better off without. I'd also like to offer there's very little salsa doesn't improve. Italian sausage is an excellent example.
  23. I think a variable missing from the poll is that it occured at McDonald's....if it's there, I say fuck it. If it's a greasy spoon or tavern I frequent, bets are officially off.
  24. Hope you're enjoying your Wii's, where applicable. A cavalcade of miscommunication and poor planning has meant that my Wal*Mart miiiiiight get some tomorrow, after a week of us saying "they'll be here". And since we're not doing a lottery or tickets anymore, we've started a pool on how many of tomorrow's hopefuls tell the store's manager "I'm never shopping here again."
