  1. At the time, the plan always being for Simmons to retain. Vader was getting the belt back because of the acknowledgment of the Simmons experiment failing. Healthy or not, Rude wasn't wining because Vader was the heel they wanted to build around.
  2. PWI were saying that the word making the rounds at Raw last night was that more cuts would be coming, so Armando could be the first of many.
  3. And the inevitable feud between Cena and DiBiase over who the better marine/actor was.
  4. Apparently a video exists of Cornette sticking a banana up his ass. Not sure of the validity, though. It's pure fiction. The whole banana thing is based on some rib or something from years ago that Cornette was part of. Somehow, it spawned an urban legend of Cornette pleasuring himself with a banana.
  5. It's laughable because Angle has talked about wanting to do MMA ever since he was fired from WWE and despite numerous chances thrown his way, including a legit 7 figure deal from Dana right after Angle left WWE, Angle finds a way for the deal not to happen. What's laughable is that some people still don't see through the fact that Angle's talk of doing MMA is just that. Talk. Nothing more.
  6. Referring to a manager or announcer? Both. Bobby Heenan. Your justification? Speaking strictly about his work as a commentator, I found him to be beyond awful. He was far too intent on trying to be cute and funny, and failing miserably, to get anything in the ring over. I found his pairing with Monsoon to be grossly overrated in terms of commentating and getting things in the ring over. Whenever they were together, they were funny, which is fine if you're doing a comedy show, but they were so intent on doing their routine that they either neglected what was going on in the ring or simply what was happening in the ring as a backdrop for their double act. His work in WCW was some of the worst commentating I've ever heard. Not only was he still doing the same lame act he was doing in the WWF, but when coupled with his incredibly dated references that showed his pop culture knowledge went no further than 1982, it made him a complete embarrassment. You might want to go back and watch the 1992 Royal Rumble. I've watched that match a number of times, thanks. He was entertaining, sure. But that was one night. The rest of the time, though...

  8. If Wanderlei loses to Jackson next month, I'd like to see Couture vs. Silva during 2009.
  9. They got back either late yesterday or early today.
  10. It was Mark Henry. Hayes apparently said to Henry that he was more of a nigger than Henry was.
  11. Referring to a manager or announcer? Both. Bobby Heenan.
  12. People will convince themselves of anything if the alternative is facing a reality they cannot cope with.
  13. Can we mention non-wrestlers too?
  14. Sherdog is filled almost exclusively with idiots.
  15. People accepted the gimmick?
  16. Yes, because he was still the official heavyweight champion. They couldn't strip him of the title because doing so would have helped his case against UFC/Zuffa.
  17. If that's even half accurate, there are a lot of people getting overpaid.
  18. Sherdog is imploding right now. It's glorious.
  19. There was no other choice Randy could have made for his music.
  20. And the 155lb division lives to fight another day.
  21. After getting completely destroyed by Penn, it's going to be hard to market Joe as having any kind of a chance.
  22. The eyes of dos Anjos has he fell were like something out of a cartoon.
