Via PWI: *LAX's Hernandez won a TNA title shot. *LAX's Homicide won a TNA X-Division title shot. *Curry Man was "fired" from TNA. Given the way Christopher Daniels' name has been mentioned on TV of late, this would seem to open the door for The Fallen Angel's return as a member of the Frontline. We'll have complete spoilers later this evening.

Per Meltzer from last night's Observer show, the advance for the Flair show was 370.

WWE General Discussion - December 2008
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
That 'story' certainly isn't in the latest Observer and I don't think Meltzer has mentioned anything even remotely like it. Far more likely someone made shit up and used the Observer to try and make it seem credible. -
It's F4W? I mean Alvarez makes a living bitching about TNA. Contrary to popular belief, Alvarez does have positive things to say about TNA and, in fact, said a number of positive things about the PPV. As did Meltzer, and per Meltzer, the two top matches for next month are Angle vs. Jarrett, which we knew, and Sting defending the TNA title against Rhino, playing off of Rhino's victory over Sting on Impact.

Now that was a great rant.

Shawn was the one calling things loudly on the Raw. There are at least two spots you can clearly hear Shawn calling.

As I recall, Jerry took Kozlov to WWE during a time when he and Jeff were on the outs and this was his way of sticking one to TNA.

Let's Talk About: Rikishi
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in General Wrestling
It was kind of hard to see Rikishi has having a legitimate grievance that he was taking too far when the guy he supposedly ran over Austin for was already the unofficial top babyface in the company, ridiculously over, and someone the company were clearly behind. Maybe they were aiming for the victim mentality demographic? -
Bret's given a number of interviews where he said he knew ahead of time he was getting the belt but not that it was going to happen where it did. He said he was called into the office one day and he thought he was going to be told he was getting fired but instead was told that they were having to put the WWF belt on a babyface to get things going and he was their pick. Apparently, there was a list of four people they were thinking of putting the belt on. I think the other three were Savage, Backlund and Warrior.

That is one of the all-time greatest angles. Here's a music video highlighting this fantastic angle: -
That place is full of almost nothing but retards laughing at the fact that they've thrown their own shit against the wall. Which is what virtually every thread and post at that place is. On TSM's worst day it is still worlds better than that steaming pile of wretched filth.

Affliction: Day of Reckoning
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I'm surprised Yvel got licensed considering some of his actions in the past, especially attacking that referee a few years ago. Still, he's usually entertaining to watch. I've been watching Yvel's loss to Igor Vovchanchyn at PRIDE 14 over and over again recently, so I look forward to seeing more of the same here, with a quick submission win for Barnett. And add me to the list of people who would like to see Arlovksi take out Fedor. I don't think it'll happen, but if it does, it would make future negotiations with Dana more interesting. -
Team Xtacy isn't a bad name in itself, it just doesn't fit a main event babyface group. It's the kind of name you'd give to a tag team of young punks doing a gimmick where they party all the time and do things that suggest drug use. Frontline sounds like something you give to your pet to stop it getting fleas. If the idea of the babyface group is to represent those who the old guard are stopping from being elevated, I'd have stayed away from the Team...related name, and gone with something like The New Horizon. They could do promo's talking about the sun setting on the careers of the old guard and rising to show the new horizon of the TNA landscape.

WWE SmackDown - November 28, 2008

How would Triple H have a rematch clause against Edge? He wasn't signed to wrestle Edge in the first place. Because Edge was the one who pinned him. Regardless of whether Triple H was signed to wrestle Edge in the first place, once Edge was made an official part of the match, if a rematch clause is in the match contract, then it covers Edge, as well was Vladimir Kozlov. Regardless of that fact, with the big deal made of the rematch clause on Raw, to set up the triple threat main event, wouldn't it be a good idea to do something on Smackdown to explain either why Triple H doesn't have one or if he does, why he can't use it. -

Why doesn't Triple H have an automatic rematch clause in his contract like every world heavyweight champion on Raw seems to have? -

They should have done it like that from the beginning. Degrading as some may find it, it is the only way to be sure that the urine specimen is unquestionably genuine. -
WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Hunter's Torn Quad replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Luger would have ended up beating Lawler, which some say is why the whole mess happened to begin with. The initial thought was that Jarrett wanted to nix the deal because word had leaked out and Jarrett , being big on keeping his angles secret, was upset over that. However, most quickly dismissed that and considered it more likely that when Jarrett and Lawler realized the angle was going to end with Lawler putting over Luger, they wanted out of it and used the excuse of news of the angle leaking, placing the blame for that leak on Heyman, as reason to back out. The next week's Observer recaps an Eddie Gilbert radio interview in which he denies mentioning Heyman's name to Lawler. Lawler had claimed Eddie told him he heard news of the angle from Heyman, which is why Heyman was suspended by WCW. The suspension was dropped because WCW realized they had no real basis to suspend Heyman in the first place. -
Unless TNA do a trademark pointless swerve, Rhino is losing to Kurt Angle at the PPV to further Angle's feud with Jarrett. Logically, Rhino pinning Sting, the TNA world champion, should lead to Rhino getting a title shot. Therefore, it could be that Rhino pinning Sting leads to Rhino getting the belt at some point soon, and his loss to Angle sets up a title match between the two, which Angle would likely win, and therefore set up the split between Sting and MEM with Angle kicking Sting out of the group because Sting lost the TNA title. Either that or their world champion lost a match for no reason.

Hunter's Torn Quad replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
On the most recent Observer show, Meltzer said that Shawn has made a pitch to face Undertaker at Wrestlemania. I think that one has a good chance of happening, and if it does it'll be really good. -

Edge/Hardy doesn't qualify as a potential direction? It might, but he was talking about a specific backstage deal, and he referenced the time a few years ago where Goldberg and Lesnar crossed paths at Survivor Series as a foreshadowing of their Wrestlemania encounter.
