  1. Bottom level WWE guys don't clear 6 figures, and Punk will be a bottom level WWE guy unless something strange happens.
  2. I think the idea behind the all heel semi's was to make a storyline out of all four heels being aligned to some degree. You had ECK in there, and Rhyno, who was friends with E and C, and had helped them win the tag titles earlier in the year. They had backstage promo's from all four in the lead in to KOTR playing off of their friendship, with Angle wanting E and C to let him win, and E and C faking being happy if the other man one.
  3. There was some interest in Punk before now, but little in Joe and Dragon for all the obvious reasons. However, the push to sign them now came purely from wanting to stop them going to TNA.
  4. He hasn't signed just yet. He probably will, but it's still premature to say he's signed.
  5. Austin was meant to be the stalker when the angle first started, but they changed that up when they decided to 'push' Benoit and Jericho. It was meant to be Austin v Jericho in the main event, with Benoit v Hunter in the semi, but when Benoit and Jericho didn't turn the ratings around after two weeks, Vince lost faith in them, and, cominbed with Hunter being taken out with his injury, they went with the Triple Threat main instead.
  6. Kevin Nash tearing his quad by walking.
  7. I would be surprised if Dave Nelson had anything to do with WGN not giving TNA a TV deal. I think it more likely that the real deal breaker was WGN wanting TNA to pay for the slot, TNA not wanting to, and both parties being unable to come to a compromise.
  8. It wasn't a total work, as it wasn't something that was pure storyline, but it was something they hoped to turn into an angle if they could one day. Why it wasn't had nothing to do with people finding out about it.
  9. My favorite promo of 2004 was in OVW. Nova had recently debuted in WWE as Simon Dean, and the rest of the Jersey Shore Crew were asking him why they hadn't been called up yet, and when Aaron Stevens(?) said that Nova hadn't sacrificed as much as they had, Nova gave this incredible and emotional speech about everything he had given up and sacrificed to be a wrestler, and by the end of it he was almost in tears, and almost the entire arena was cheering and applauding him.
  10. No, he wasn't. That whole story was blown out of proportion.
  11. Someone is already writing a book about that one:
  12. I don't know who to feel more sorry for. Actually, I do. I could never feel sorry for Nash.
  13. A swinging neckbreaker. The Shake: Setting them up for it and swivelling his hips. The Rattle: Swinging his victim's head from side to side a little. The Roll: Finally hitting the move.
  14. A bit of both. I don't doubt Vince thinks he is being nice, and, to some degree, he is. But the main reason Vince is doing this is so he can make money.
  15. Turner is against getting back into the wrestling business. He was interested in it, but when advised of the start up costs it would take to get such a venture off the ground, he decided it wasn't worth it. Don't count on Uncle Ted to bail TNA out, because it is highly unlikely to happen.
  16. If it doesn't matter, then why get so worked up over where it goes?
  17. It will be interesting to see what kind of reaction Awesome gets, considering how he left ECW.
  18. Seeing as we don't yet have a bestiality folder, then it could, and likely would, end up in LSD.
  19. If this tape surfaces and if Lita is in it, then it may be a thread for the WWE Folder. Until then, it stays here.
  20. Heyman wrote at least two drafts for the PPV, but what makes it onto the screen from those drafts depends on what is allowed to make it by Vince and Kevin Dunn, who are the two other parties who have had a lot of influence on this. While Heyman and Dreamer have had a part in writing this, to say they are the only ones writing it would be totally inaccurate.
  21. I have that clip. It's less than 1MB in size, so you could download it easily. If you wanted to, that is.
  22. If Ted Turner had been in power, without any question WCW would still be around. He would never have let WCW die.
  23. If Jackson does enter the UFC, I'd like to see him and Chuck have a rematch. I think Chuck would like to face Jackson again and avenge his loss.
  24. I think Taker, or anyone really, would want a match with Benoit, because they know he'll make them look good, and won't complain about putting them over.
