  1. This really sucks. Kreski was the driving force behind most of the golden year of 2000, and he had a tremendous eye for detail. If he could have been brought back, it might have helped things.
  2. Amen. You and I as OVW fans both know how badly they've ruined certain people. I have to try hard not to think about that, because it's so depressing. They've taken some great, and not-so-great, talents from OVW, and with few exceptions, they've booked them totally ass backwards. Luther Reigns was pretty poor in the ring, but could cut a great promo. So, what do WWE do with him ? Have him never talk for the first six months, and put him in the ring far too often. Batista/Leviathan had a tremendous physique, and a unique look. So, what do WWE do with him ? Put him in an outfit that covers up most of his body, and have him grow his hair out, which takes away from his look. Matt Morgan is a sub-par talent, but a great talker. So, what do WWE do ? Give him a stupid gimmick that stops him from giving the interviews he could.
  3. "The WWF are the type of people who would take the world's greatest plumber, and make him an electrician". Paraphrased from a Chris Candido interview.
  4. London has an underdog buzz, but nobody takes him seriously in the slightest. Chavo has some credibility due to his feud with Eddie, but I don't think anyone takes him seriously whenever he faces top guys. Rey hasn't been hurt by heavyweight loses, but he's considered by management as being above the Cruiserweight division, and so isn't booked like a traditional cruiserweight, ie: as jobber fodder. Bringing in Super Crazy, Psychosis, Juventued or every talented cruiserweight in the world won't mean anything if the cruiserweights are still treated as an afterthought, and presented as not to be taken seriously.
  5. When guys are sitting out their no compete clause, they usually get paid their downside guarantee for however long the clause lasts.
  6. If the ECW PPV gets a good number, there is every chance that the contracted guys who worked it will get buried out of jealousy, over doing too good.
  7. Except that in TNA, the fans see the X Division as being on par with the heavyweights. In WWE, fans see the Cruiserweight division as being where the guys who get bounced around by the real stars wrestle. How would it grow in prestige, when it's seen as being so far below the WWE Title ? Anyone moving from the WWE Title picture into the Cruiserweight Title picture would lose a ton of value, simply because they would be taken such a huge step down, and any juice they gained from being in the WWE Title scene would he lost.
  8. I think there are a lot better ways to show the unpredicability of Raw than having a chick act like she has the mental compacity of a 5 year old. But do any of them let the writers act out their revenge fantasies against women in front of a worldwide audience ?
  9. If you were a little kid and Crono stared at you, wouldn't you get frightened too ?
  10. Yes, but he did get a reaction. It wasn't silent or anything like that. He makes an excellent heel and would make a horrid face, so it's all for the better. And he was taking on Ric Flair. Who gets cheered against Flair these days ?
  11. What makes Edge v Kane a better final is that you can make a case for why either guy could win.
  12. Too late. I told everyone it was happening two hours ago. Edge hadn't won two hours ago. Now that he has, the speculation has legitimacy.
  13. Let the rumor mill on the Lita turn really begin.
  14. Maybe because it's a folder with mature content? That explains why they can still see the rest of the board.
  15. You mean this? I think he means this:
  16. Has Shawn been swapping spit with Katie Holmes ?
  17. I hope Pat Patterson wasn't watching that one.
  18. The notion that anyone worth having in CE was scared away by Mike is still ridiculous to me. A lot of people come to messageboards to relax and have fun, and it's hard to do that if you've got someone who goes around shouting people down and making it impossible to have a decent debate.
  19. Who would have thought Triple H would open Raw ?
  20. Let's not forget the likes of Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible (who was very underrated), Little Guido, Lance Storm and others.
  21. I believe this was part of a series of 'triangle' matches that headlined house shows at that time. The triangle match consisted of a series of one-on-one matches between Bret, 'Taker and Diesel, with the series going on until one man had beaten both of the others in consecutive matches. Bret wrestled Undertaker first, pinning him when Diesel interfered. Bret then wrestled Diesel, and pinned him when Undertaker interfered.
  22. That stupid angle killed WCW in Georgia. They had 40,000 fans that night in the Georgia Dome, and when they returned a few months later, they barely got a quarter of that. That angle did major damage to WCW, without a doubt. And Nash had been given the book back in early November of 1998.
  23. Saves money on vending machines at least.
  24. I guess that means packed houses for their Indian and Asian tours. Well, if they ever decide to go there, that is. Unless TNA are getting paid for this, it's a bad idea. They need to focus on paying for more coverage in areas where they actually might tour.
