'97-'98 would be correct, as I used to get my Observers from one of my teachers in high school, who was a huge smark. He'd copy me the Observer every week from my softmore to my senior year. And Vic is not that great. Crash Holly even says on his shoot that Vic only looks good when he's got someone smaller to toss and around so that guy can bump like a pinball for him. Otherwise Vic's just a guy who can fall off high places and not get hurt.

Pogo's a decent worker. He's really stiff, but guys that have worked with him (American Wild Child and Sandman among them) have said he's a pretty good worker. You know, I have an Observer somewhere where Meltzer discussed going to an APW show in Cali. and watching Joe Applebaumer win a battle royal, and saying he was impressed with him for a big man. As someone who watches XPW, I never saw it.

That Was Then. Lasted all of TWO FRICKIN' EPISODES last fall. Was the series with the guy who wished he could redo his life on his 30th birthday. London's gonna be a heel? Part of the guy's NATURAL charisma (not promo delivery charisma) is that he has that natural babyface look, like a young Ricky Steamboat. Signing Alexis I think is more or less just a "Hey she's getting a following, we'll take her before she takes off". I was watching the Crash Holly shoot I just got at work, and he says something that rings true these days: Back when the WWF started the developmental leagues, they only took guys that they ALREADY had a role/idea for. Nowadays they'll just go about signing anyone to a developmental deal and let them falter in OVW. I highly doubt there is any known role for Alexis other than to be groped by McMahon.
