Actually, Dre would be battling 50 through Game because Dre has no desire to get behind the mic. As awesome a producer as Dre is, no way he tries to battle even an elementary MC like 50 behind a mic. Until more comes out of this, I'll wait until commenting further on a potential 50/Dre beef.

The Heat have also had a mandatory dress code before this one was implemented. Seems like teams that have supposed "old school" guys in the front office like Isiah Thomas and Pat Riley were already ahead of the game as opposed to the "new school" types like Mark Cuban and the Maloofs, who have been vocal against the dress code.

I'd go Westbrook because Bell still has to share carries with Mike Anderson and it's a crapshoot as to who will break a game between the two. Westbrook will definitely get his touches and receptions, regardless of who Philly plays.

Bret vs Flair from Souled Out is very underrated. I think even Bret liked the match a lot. Come to think of it, Souled Out 98 was just a damn good show all around.

Well, for the old audience, they never officially turned Monty face. However, since the debut on Spike, they've pushed him as a face, so who knows what was going on in the booking of this match.

Another potentially shitty thing is this could effect Liger showing up at all. From what I gather, he's on a tight schedule and may not make it if they have to postpone the show. God, I haven't asked for much, so please have this thing become a tropical storm by the time Sunday rolls around.

Can someone show me a source or something for the terrible ratings where the NBA is about to tank and die according to some in this thread? I know ratings have been effected because almost all the games are on cable except a few weekend games and the Finals and the Finals are still a high ratings grabber in regular television, in particular the 04 Finals between the Lakers and Pistons, which saw a 67% increase in viewership. This year's finals slowed down until games 5-7 because, well, game 7's tend to have high viewership. I know live attendance was higher than it has ever been, post Michael Jordan. Question for Mike, if you hate the NBA so much, which is pretty clear by your statements, why do you care what the players wear? Why bother? If this were an NHL argument (the NHL has a dress code, but for arguments sake) I wouldn't go into the NHL threads taking shots because I don't care about NHL players.

I don't think we'll know much of anything about impacting BFG until sometime Saturday. It'll suck because it may impact not only attendance, which is low anyways and their first paying show, but the wrestlers themselves may not make it. I really hope this thing either takes a sharp turn away from Orlando or weakens to a tropical storm or something.

You know Mike, I was with you on a lot of your arguments about the dress code, but not here. I've seen just as many MLB and especially NFL players dressed just like NBA players do. I am not sure if you just choose to see all NBA players a certain way, but don't sit here and lie and say that MLB and NFL players don't dress the same way because you will see the same doo rags, gold and/or platinum chains, and sunglasses and headphones that you do in the NBA. Your bias against basketball really shines out in this particular statement.

I saw this match live and in that time and moment, thought it was one of WWF's better brawls. Also, the build up for the match was fantastic in that they couldn't touch each other for 2-3 weeks or so. I think that may be why I thought the match was better at the time as well as I watched it with a crowd, so it was a little easier for me to not look for detail and whatnot. Still, after viewing without distractions, it's still a solid match, but doesn't hold up nearly as well as I thought it would. Originally I had it pegged at about **** 1/4, but now I wouldn't feel uncomfortable rating it at ***1/4.

Another thing to ponder... Liger is supposed to be sticking around for the tapings after BFG. If they can stretch that out a few more days and land Liger for the Prime Time special vs either Daniels or Styles, you've got yourself a dandy good time and me in front of the TV! I also agree that they should try to go for at least one or two things to get a buzz going such as starting a hot angle or title change.
