I liked Sawyers turn. He battled with telling Jack, and Jack was pretty nice to him about the lumberjack thing. The only thing I don't like is that HE WAS TORTURED and yet still interacts well with Sayid and Jack.
-
And what are the odds that Jack will die? He has found his resolution after Sawyer told him about his dad, so he isn't really "lost" any more... And I wish they didn't have Locke answer Jacks question in the preview for next week (which looks balls out).

I really hope Shannon continues to be depressed and gloomy, she's sooo hot like that. And what are the odds that Vincent saves Shannon from The Others?

That ending sequence was fucking amazing. Jin and Sun's scene had me jumping up and down, throwing my hands up, pointing to the sky and saying "YES! YES!" as if I just won the superbowl, which -like- rarely ever happens. Fuck, that was one of the best scenes in LOST history, right up there with "Don't tell me what I can't do!". The black rock twist - Awesome. Shannon telling security about Sayid and his bag - Awesome. The look Locke gave the french chick about the scratch which makes me think the french chick is being convinced by the others to mess with the camps head - Awesome. Walt giving the dog to Shannon and everything that surrounded it - Awesome. The Marshall fucking with Kate - Awesome. Saw-fucking-yer - Awesome. The dude who played Jay Leno in the Late Shift and Hurley - Awesome. Sawyer telling Jack about his father - Awesome (that's right, Sawyer gets TWO awesomes.) Michelle Rodriguez NOT playing a tough bitch - Awesome. The episode going nuts with the flashbacks - Awesome. Locke standing with Hurley while the monster attacked - Awesome. SECURITY SYSTEM? WHUH? - Awesome. Kate asking where Sawyer was, Sawyer looking for Kate - Awesome. The end where everyone was hugging and shaking hands and saying goodbyes and it really feels like this big family atmosphere and its all warm and you can't help but smile - Awesome. Locke looking at Jack be ~The Leader~ and get people to help fix the boat - Awesome. Charley, doing nothing and doing it fantastically - Awesome.

It's funny how HHH can not be on the show, yet still have segments dedicated to him and is still talked about.
-
HHH never put over Benoit. You're foolish to think otherwise. For Benoit to be "put over" HHH, HHH would have to "step down" from his position on RAW. That never once happened. HHH was always the top star on RAW, his storylines always had the main focus, he was the most important guy. For that to happen while Benoit held the title just made Benoit look like the lameduck champion he was.

*Masters enters the ring* *Falls asleep* *The fans cut a promo and then full nelsons each other and then continues to suck* JR: Bah gawd Monday Night Irawny continues!

It's irawny.

The pillow fight better have the pillows get angry, grow arms, and start having DIVA fights.
-
Yeah, I was thinkin about that. There'd still be plenty of stuff for them to do, but it's hard to negotiate time and momentum in a match like that. When does it start to get old for the crowd? To have it go any longer, you'd have to introduce new characters to the mix. Have someone come down and cheat for Flair, the Hurricane for instance (after an earlier confrontation with Christian in the back), then have the heartthrobs come out for more hilarity. Rosie comes down, then Tomko finally comes back in the end to even it up.
-
I'd love to see Tom vs. Boston Rob.

Flair vs. Christian should be like this... *They are about to lock up, all the standard wrestling taunts are here (slapping their own chests/shoulders, lil stretches, circling, etc) Flair fakes and yells out "whooooo!". Christian looks surprised* *They are about to lock up again, Christian fakes and goes "THAT'S HOW I ROLL!" Flair looks shocked* *They are about to lock up for the third time, Flair fakes, yells out "Whoooo!", and then does a strut. Christian looks angry* *They are about to lock up again, Christian fakes and goes "THAT'S HOW I ROLL!, and then kisses his fingers and points to the crowd. Flair FLIPS OUT and leaves the ring. Christian soaks up the cheers, and Flair is about to go to the back but Tomko gets in the way. Flair WHOOOS! at Tomko, and Tomko deadpans. Flair lets out a louder "Whooo" and Tomko gives a look of "Ok, that's enough, I can't handle this" and moves aside. Christian looks at Tomko and Tomko shrugs. Flair makes his way to the back, but then ultimately returns to the ring. Total Time including entrances: 7 minutes.* *Back inside the ring, they both fake the lock up, both do their routine, both look shocked, and both leave the ring on opposite ends. Tomko consoles Christian, gives him some water, wipes the sweat off him, basic cornerman stuff. Flair yells at the fans. All the while, JR and King are dumbfounded.* *They FINALLY lock up and Christian fakes an injury. He says that Flair eye gouged him and the ref goes after Flair. Christian smiles and mocks Flair behind the refs back. Flair is outraged.* *They lock up again, Flair intentionally gouges Christians eyes, and the ref turns flair around and yells at him. Christian is to the back of Flair, and Flair gives Christian a low blow, which the ref doesn't see. Flair does a strut, while Christian is on the ground holding his crotch and looking at Flair.* *Christian calls for a time out, but doesn't get one. They lock up, Flair gets a headlock, they work it for a few seconds, then Christian pulls down Flairs tights (he's wearing underwear), Flair is shocked, lets go of the headlock, starts to run but then falls down. Christian does a strut of his own, then pats his chest, "THAT'S HOW I ROLL!" and kisses his fingers and points to the crowd. Flair rolls out of the ring, goes under the ring, but Tomko pulls him out (shorts are now up). Flair has a fire extinguisher, though, and sprays it in Tomkos eyes. Christian comes out and a blinded Tomko is about to hit him but stops before he can land a punch. Christian breathes a sigh of relief and they hug. Tomko has his back to Flair, Flair runs into Tomko, who gets knocked into Christian and they both go down. Flair gets back in the ring and "Whooos" with a lil strut.* *Commercial break* *back, with both guys in the ring* "I was there for Flair/Steamboat. I was there for Flair/Sting. I was there for Flair/Funk. This... isn't quite like those matches..." - JR "This has been the longest match of the night, JR, and the only move I've seen is a headlock!" - King *Christian tries to get a "Christian" chant going on one side of the crowd, he yells at Tomko and Tomko reluctantly brings out a "Christian" sign. Flair looks out to the other side of the crowd (for the chance of a "flair" chant).* *They are about to lock up for the billionth time and Christian fakes a leg injury. Tomko gets up on the apron with the sign in his hand and distracts Flair (the other side says "Flair sucks") Christian gets up and runs at Flair, Flair moves, Christian hits the sign that Tomko is holding and gets knocked out. The sign falls to the ring, and Tomko falls to the floor. Flair picks up the sign, tears it apart to reveal a stop sign.* *Flair gets a near fall on Christian* *Flair picks Christian up, puts him in the corner, and works the chops. Christians selling is really over-the-top here. Lugerish.* *Christian turns Flair around and tries to chop him... it hurts his hand... Christian sells it like he broke his hand.* *Christian backs off, gets on his knees, and begs Flair* *Tomko gets back on the apron, the ref goes over, Flair goes to knock him off, Tomko throws a spraycan in behind their backs, Flair turns is about to get maced by Christian, but moves and the ref gets it in the eyes.* "Oh, now what?!" - JR. *Christian and Flair slug it out, Tomko gets in on it but gets low blowed by Flair. They still slug it out, Tomko gets up, but gets low blowed by Christian. Slugging it out, Flair misses a punch, Christian turns it into his reverse DDT. Christian tells Tomko to get the ref, who is still blinded, and when he does the ref low blows Tomko. Tomko is done and leaves the ring. Christian sees Tomko leaving, turns his back on Flair, Flair rolls him up and pulls the tights. The ref is still blind.* *Flair and Christian stand off. They look at the blind ref. They talk. They eventually agree that the ref needs to see and both go out of the ring to get a water bottle. They both tend to the ref and make sure he's ok. Once the ref is, Christian rolls up Flair, pulls the tights, and gets the three count.* *Christian runs out of the ring, yells out "THAT'S HOW I ROLL!", pats his chest, kisses his fingers, and points to the crowd.* *Flair looks amazed. He can either flip out, or give Christian applause and call him back to the ring and shake his hand... and then kick him in the groin.*

Edge vs. Kane is tricky. Signs point to Edge and Lita pairing up, but the WWE is a mark for Kane vs. Batista and Edge already has a title shot. I guess they could do both and have Lita turn on Kane but Kane wins anyways, but that sorta devalues the turn. Is Edge/Batista a bigger match than Batista/Kane? They seem to have plans for Edge, while Kane tends to just float around until needed. Whomever wins this would go against Batista on a RAW show, not a PPV, since HHH/Batista has already been advertised; and whomever loses would probably get a title shot on PPV in the future... if that makes sense. Know what would be cool? If Kane laid down for Edge, and then Edge stuck his tongue down Litas throat and Kane smiled. Kane becomes Edges bodyguard, Lita is Edges fuckbuddyslut, and Kane is ok with that because Kane is a twisted fuck who gets off on that sorta thing. OR, you have Edge lay down for Kane and do the same thing, but since Edge already has his title shot whenever he wants, he says he'll let Kane beat up Batista and then take the leftovers for the title. Then you have Batista face an uphill battle against Edge/Kane and still work those matches out.

Gangrel isn't a big fat black guy, so obviously the inherent comedy wouldn't be there with him.

One thing that is less shitty than another thing is still shit. And the people who like it are still liking shit. I'd rather want something good and be disappointed that be so desperate for something entertaining that "so bad, it's good" qualifies. Isn't wrestling campy enough?

Even if the story was McMahon vs. Austin in 98/99? Notice how I used present-tense? Not that it matters, but trying to throw past exceptions to the present rule is a lil underhanded. Not that I mind I never said wrestling and acting weren't similar, infact I said they are relatable (enough to use the same terms), but wrestling is not acting; therefore to criticize a wrestlers acting ability is silly. What works in a wrestling storyline usually doesn't work in anything else. What works for a wrestler usually doesn't work when that wrestler tries to act (Austin on Nash Bridges). What works in the ring, usually doesn't work in anything else. There are several reasons why Austin/McMahon "worked", and it would not have worked in anything else other than wrestling. It took a real life situation (McMahon screwing Bret, making Vince the bad guy), and a very hot character (Stone Cold Steve Austin), along with great supporting characters (Tyson, Michaels, Foley, Rock), during a hot period of time for the wrestling industry and got a lot of milage and popularity out of it using classic wrestling formulas (also some of the same stuff that worked in Bret/Austin) and creative moments. And to answer your question, people didn't pay to see the story of McMahon vs. Austin, they paid to see Austin kick the shit out of McMahon.

Ah fuck, another Snitsky thing. How about yall just not like it now rather than a month down the line?

FUCK YEAH TOM! Ian/Tom was an awesome rivalry for the few minutes it lasted. Those guys were two of the strongest players, they fished together, they played together, and then at the end with the two in the final challenge and neither backing down was fucking balls out... then Ian had to give up like a bitch...

I wonder what would happen if Hurley saw the hatch and the numbers and they start putting together all the number pieces.

What's the difference between Batistas "acting" and Benjamins "acting" to make one good and the other bad?

Bob, do you know why Fred does an amazing deaf impression?

Riggle has been one of the bright-spots IMO this year. They guy isn't always funny, but he's a gamer (to me, he's 98% funny, the baby stuff the other week was weak, though). It looks like Seth is trying to break out and be the top star on the show, and he'd be a better choice than Maya, but if they gave Fred more airtime I think he could break through. Keenan is probably their best guy, IMO. I was initially uncertain of him, since I don't like guys I already know from other things on SNL (and I love me some Good Burger), but his Cosby is just too good to ignore and he's like the only guy they have that can make me laugh just by standing there. I'm not a big Amy fan, though. Her white-girl-acting-black routine is annoying. She's good in some stuff, though.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

I watched WFA 3 tonight. Jeff Curran vs. Todd Lally - mostly boring stuff but a sweet finish with an elevator into a triangle. Jason Black vs. Chad Saunders - This was, for the most part, boring. Vitor Ribeiro vs. Eddie Yagin - This was my first look at Shaolin, and he was very good, but I was expecting so much more considering the guys he has beaten. Yagin had a great sprawl and did very well on the ground when he had his back mounted plus he did some Sakuraba style leaps and cartwheels, but his stand up was shit. Vitor threw some nice jabs and is pretty slick on the ground. Good fight, nonetheless. Mike Van Arsdale vs. Chris Haseman - Haseman landed a sweet kick to the solar plexus that had MVA down but it was after the bell (the down, not the kick). MVA, from one angle when he was closing the fight, had some impressive, Vitor Belfort-like, punches from the guard but another angle made them look sketchy. Not a great fight by any stretch of the imagination. Josh Thomson vs. Rob McCullough - Fight of the night, really good stuff from Josh Thomson, very slick ground work. McCullough wasn't much of anything. Marvin Eastman vs. Alex Stiebling - I expected more from Alex and less from Eastman. Solid punch, nice set up. Frank Trigg vs. Dennis Hallman - OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! So THAT'S what caused all men around the world to shed a single tear... Overall, shitty video production, poor announcing, very slutty women, frank shamrock, and pretty good fights. -
I liked Nuni Nuni Nuni. But then again, I like most pseudo-east berlin komedy and Armesten is nearing god status every time he talks like that.
