I really have been meaning to watch 24 but I never have time. I don't watch the new episodes because I'd probably have more questions the more I watch it. Might get a loan of the DVD's off my cousin and give it a try

WWE General Discussion for July 2007
AntiLeaf33 replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
After seeing Rodimer live a few months ago and watching a few Heat matches he's had I really wonder what it is anyone in WWE sees in him. Oh, thats right.....he's a big guy. But seriously, once he gets in the ring he is useless. He did a bearhug 5 times in an 8 minute match against Val at a house show....overkill anyone? I can't really recall anything else aside from the bearhug, kick and punch from his moveset now that I think of it. I think he did a couple of big guy power out reversals, but that was about it. Just release the guy already. -
I think HD-DVD may win out thanks to the casual consumer. Take an average person who doesn't know shit about shit. They see HD-DVD and they think "Thats just a DVD in HD", and then they see Blue Ray and think "What the fuck is that? Is that a game or something?"

The Edge DVD set could be worth checking out....but they should wait until his career is winding down so you can get a real sample of his career's work

Figures. Apple didn't train anywhere near enough agents to support it; they're throwing people from other depts into half-assed training sessions and instituting mandatory overtime. They'll be taking calls on it July 4th, too. Fuck this company. Oh, its not just Apple that does that. I won't say who I work for, but my job sure is Comcastic Especially when you work for Convergys. Yup

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
AntiLeaf33 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
this might not be good for WWE, although WWE isnt at fault for this, its like me breaking a window and blaming the rock for breaking the window The Great One has better things to do with his time! Yeah, and if your going to blame anyone for breaking any windows, have a look at that young Steve Austin fellow. Sounds like a window breaking everytime he comes to the ring.... -
The constant reversals were a big headache last year. Yes, I don't mind a move getting reversed as it happens all the time, but when it prohibts you from actually working a decent match, thats when you might wanna rethink your system

I'll agree with you there. The Big Daddy V gimmick might have just saved Vis' job when it comes time to downsize again
-
Yeah, this isn't classics worthy, but being I was half awake when I was reading the comments I over reacted a tad bit...still a cheap laugh or two in here

Good move by the Sens. If nothing else then at least it frees up some CAP space.

Don't know if I'm a fan of Nitro's name change, but if nothing else it helps seperate his character from Melina. Be interesting to see what exactly they are planning on doing here.

When Was The Last Time You Were Surprised By A Match Finish?
AntiLeaf33 replied to Chazz's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge's first 2 title victories were pretty surprising to me (I figured Cena would be a shoe in to take the belt off of RVD). Also, the above mentioned Jericho victory over HHH that "never happened" was a pretty big mark out moment. Lastly, Jericho winning the Undisputed title was a pretty big shock to me as well. -
This thread is starting to get into classics territory. Some classic posts here

Where now films have "Violence, Scary Themes and Smoking" under their ratings. God forbid anyone go to a film and see someone smoking on the screen. I think it was Alien Vs. Predator a few years ago, that had slime listed under its rating

Plain and simple: Lashley does not have any X factor that makes me want to see any of him. No exciting moves, not technically sound, can't really work a crowd, shit on the mic = me not giving a rats ass about anything he does

Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.
AntiLeaf33 replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
Vince will probably stay off TV (Character wise) for a few months maybe. There will probably be no reference to the angle as he already set the record straight on the Benoit Tribute RAW. When he comes back it will be buisness as usual. -
Montreal, Rangers, Detroit, and maybe Chicago are really the only jerseys that they have to leave alone. Toronto has undergone a bunch of changes already, so another one wouldn't be that big of a deal. Bostons new jersey looks kinda retro so I'm cool with that.

I never paid too much attention to Starscream's location when Magatron was attacked, but the more I think of it, the more sense it makes. I also noticed that no one made mention of Starscream flying off into space during the closing credits. Looks like if there is a sequal then we will be seeing, and hearing a lot more from Starscream, which I am all for!

What Would It Take You To Stop Watching WWE Programming
AntiLeaf33 replied to Nate's topic in The WWE Folder
Right now I don't really watch WWE programming hardcore. If I'm home on Monday nights I may have RAW on in the background, or I'll just catch the results online. I'm never home Friday nights, so Smackdown is out for me....shame though because it is consistantly the better show. And if ECW has a really strong show I'll download it and skip to the good parts. I'll go the bar and watch a PPv if it looks decent, but I always make an effort to see the Rumble and Mania. Maybe if they made RAW more watchable I would make more of an effort, but as of now, they have me as a casual fan and nothing more. -
JR as a color man would be gold. Make it happen!

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
AntiLeaf33 replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
It's one thing to edit out audio (Jesse's commentaries) but as for physically removing a wrestler from history, thats going to take a hell of a lot of work. For certain moments he's going to have to be show, but just because he is being shown does not mean they have to promote it. Hell, if (God forbid) it was Hogan and not Benoit who did this horrible act, what would WWE do? Forget the 80's exsisted? When it comes to showing all the old Horseman footage with Benoit in it, they can simply cut out any footable of Benoit talking. Him standing in the background is not exactly promoting a killer. Sure, its acknowledging he was there, but nothing more. Safe to say, it'll be interesting to see what approach is taken on this matter by the WWE and their editing crew. -
Hopefully. Darren Langdon had a fun little run with the Habs a few years back. Sure, all he did was fight, but at least the Habs had SOMEONE to defend their top players/drop the gloves to send a message. Plus he accidentally scored a goal for us in the playoffs, which is always a plus for a goon who plays about 3 minutes a game once the playoffs hit.
