  1. The longer Punk chases the title, the better it will be for the brand. First, it'll make Punk winning the belt actually feel important. Second, the longer Nitro holds onto the belt and tries to keep it away from Punk, the better he looks and more people start to actually consider him a Champion. Lastly, it makes the entire ECW brand look better as you, hopefully, have a hot title chase and blow-off mony match that they can promote.
  2. It's good to pick up some size. The team is pretty small, but quick. Add in a few bigger guys just to add some toughness.
  3. Does he even still wrestle? I thought he was a highschool teacher now, or something. WWE.com just did a Where Are They Now? article on him. Gotta start them young I guess :|
  4. Upon further review, here is my list of current stars who work best as faces: RAW: Lashley * (he gets an * because I'm not sure what he would be like as a heel) HBK (reasons mentioned in post above) Londrick Jeff Hardy Sandman (Edgy face, but a face none the less) Super Crazy Cryme Tyme Highlanders Smackdown! Eugene Jimmy Wang Yang Matt Hardy Undertaker Ric Flair * (Is there really THAT much of a difference between heel and face Flair now? Well, I guess he hits the top rope move as a face, but thats about it) Rey Mysterio ECW: Boogeyman Balls Mahoney Tommy Dreamer Feel free to add/edit this list
  5. Looking at the 3 WWE brands I notice that there does not seem to a lot of "Top Teir" faces. Triple H, Punk, and Cena come to mind as guys who are currently faces, but would be a lot more interesting to see as heels. Can anyone as this company work best as a face? HBK comes to mind for right now. Sure, he was a hell of a lot better as a heel back in the day, but as for right now, face is the only way to go. But who else is there that is a face through and through?
  6. Ok, maybe not the Power Plant (tried to think of another well known training facilty that was similar to Tough Enough), buts not always about how people break into the industry, or how they get introduced to it....it's how they do when they are actually submerged into it.
  7. Ok, makes sense now.
  8. I don't know whats worse: WWE's website for putting a match that never happened on a poll, or the general WWE audience for actually voting for it.
  9. I really have no beef with a Tough Enough guy being a champion. Nobody has an issues with someone from the old WCW power plant, or any other wrestling school. This was just done on TV, but they still did their training. Also, the ones that were serious about it spent time on honing their skills. As for Nitro, I don't buy him as a champ yet, but maybe he will grow on me...if he has the belt that long I mean.
  10. Ok, I should say I can't see Lashley playing a heel as long as he is talking. If he plays a guy like Brock Lesner was when he first came in (Come in, dominate a baby face, and leave) then I can see him being a heel. The second he opens his mouth thats when it all falls apart.
  11. Ok, cause I really don't buy Lashley being a heel. I can see him doing some vicious things (roid range anyway...) but nothing that would make him a legit heel.
  12. Oh noes!!!!!
  13. So, is Lashley heel now, or is just trying to get the jump on Cena for their WWE title match? I didn't see the end of RAW, but I assumed that he DIDN'T turn heel. Might need to see the video though to make sure
  14. I can see Umaga have a pretty decent run with the IC title this time around. With no mouth peice with him, then he can't really get involved in any ridiculious story lines and he will have to just defend his title every week. As for Santino, aside from introducing him, the IC title reign was completely useless. Hell, he was saying that he had to defend it against Umaga so people would take him seriously, and then he gets squashed. That really helped, didn't it Santino
  15. Speaking of King Booker: If he is going to keep doing the King Booker gimmick then can they at least make JR and the King call him King Booker instead of constantly calling him Booker T? I'm not the biggest Michael Cole fan, but at least he constantly got him name right.
  16. It has been some of the absolute worse reporting I have ever seen. It makes you wonder just how many other stories are filled with half truths, lies, and completely wrong information. I would guess a lot. It certainly has been maddening and hard to watch. All they are doing is misleading the general population as to what happened, or at least, what new news is coming up. There have been numerous people here at work who talk about Roid Rage and thats why he did it. Thats usually when I cut in, mention that nancy was planning on a divorce, Daniel's Fragile-X, GHB and the role it might have played, etc. Just a pain in the ass to hear these fucking idiots talk about it like they know everything. Shit, I don't know everything about what happened, but at least I'm doing my goddamn homwork on it before I shoot my mouth off.
  17. If I'm not mistaken the last time they did the beat the clock stipulation, if a person lost to someone in their match, the person that beat him would replace him. I knew as soon as that wasn't mentioned someone would lose. They did mention that if the other guy wins then his time will be considered when they had the Beat the Clock on Smackdown a while ago. I think that was the one Kennedy ended up winning after he caused Taker and the Miz's match to go a little longer
  18. Triple H made the IC title look a lot worse then Flair did during Falir's run. I rmember the cage match for the IC title and Trips ripped the IC title off of Flair and threw it away (almost like a "get rid of this peice of shit, I want to kick your ass"kind of a motion)
  19. I haven't heard about anything else. And truthfully, by the MPAA's rules, all they'd have to do for an NC17 is just restore the color to that one bit. There wouldn't have to be one more second of actual violence in the picture. Yes, it's a very stupid rule. What was the rule anyway? I assume there was too much blood in that scene, but how much is considered too much?
  20. I think it was in the first 5 or 10 pages of this thread that someone wanted to know what the odds of this thread reaching 47 pages in a week were.
  21. It's good to see Cro Cop come back against a decent opponent. I think his last loss really made him re-think his game plan in UFC Vs. what he was doing in Pride. A quick squash against a no one does nothing for him, and probably won't make people stop thinking that he can't cut it in UFC.
  22. Because "Roid Rage" is a much sexier sound byte than "complicated situation involving marital difficulties and possible long-term psychosis that none of his closest friends noticed, plus various drug use". The talking head so-called news shows aren't in the business of providing true and accurate information to the public, they're basically just another crappy reality show. So I've noticed after watching a few of them. It was nice to see Jericho trying to get Nancy Grace's facts straight though. All the same, I know why those shows put this spin on their stories (gotta get viewers some how) but it just annoys the hell out of me when they present it so poorly, and any moderate wrestling fan can see that they have not done their homework on the industry.
  23. A guy at work saw it last night. He's not one of those over the top fan-boys, but when he was talking about the movie he sounded like a kid who just saw Santa Claus. Might see it in a week or 2 once the lines thin out a bit and I can actually get a decent seat.
