  1. I read they were going to be the same transfers as the 1993 laserdisc transfers, meaning no anamorphic widescreen.
  2. I think another main issue with the plane hitting pentagon theory is that the pilot would have to have been a very good and experienced pilot to maintain keeping the plane that close to the ground for that amount of time, if you look at the angle, it's doesn't look like it is coming down from the sky, it looks like it is coming straight in.
  3. In that specific situation it seems what you did was ok and the faculty lady was just being a bitch, but seriously dude, people got along fine without cell phones up to what, 5 years ago? Now people act like "OMG WHAT ABOUT An.....EMERGENCY" like Emegencies never happened before the year 2000. Most schools have pay phones, most parents that work have a work phone number. Sure, is it a little more inconvenient to do that, yeah, but people did it for decades before the cell phone became a regular part of society and emergencies were taken care of just fine.
  4. Speaking of ways we used to have to watch ECW. I used to watch it on AmericaOne Network, it wasn't a cable network, just some network I found out about by a fluke incident of manualy checking every channel an old tv in my mom's room could pick up. I came by channel 25, and they were showing USWA, so I went back at the same time the next day and it was Deep South Wrestling, next day WICCA(or something like that) and then finally the next day it was ECW.......the funniest thing was you could see that some local operator was in charge of the programming because 5mins before ECW would come on you would see the satellite grid come up for the Dish to be repositioning so he could pick up the feed from another channel.....haha.
  5. I knew a guy that would get high, cut off a piece of medium cheddar cheese, and then smear peanut butter on it and eat it.....
  6. This can't be any more akward then The Horror Channel trying to piggy back on The Men's Channel.
  7. I would mark out for a screening of "THEY LIVE" followed up by the debut of "ECW"
  8. That Video Ruled. Now the need one for Freddy.
  9. And the fact that the Soviet Union was crumbling on it's own.
  10. LOL.
  11. You got it backwards. First of all, Reagan's support for the Civil Rights Act came after his opposition to it. Therefore, Reagan became more liberal on this issue. Second, Reagan refused to sign a bill that would have legalized abortion when he was governor of California. He continued to be pro-life into his presidency. No flip-flopping was involved. Third, have you ever heard or read 1964 the speech "A Time for Choosing"? Given 2 years before his election as governor, it was 100% Goldwater conservatism. The man who gave that speech would never have supported a missile treaty with the Soviet Union, government spending making up 23.5% of the GDP (a record high in 1983), or an MLK holiday. Early in his California governorship he had signed a permissive abortion bill. Afterward, he inaccurately blamed this outcome on doctors, saying that they had deliberately misinterpreted the law Any reference to this ever happening has been mysteriously erased from everything I've ever read on the man. Yeah Well...umm...Look over there....no THERE....it's UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMAGA.

  13. Reagan also became a lot more conservative as President, then he was as Govenor of CA. When he ran for president his advisors found out about the untapped religious right, and suddenly Reagan flip flopped on issues like abortion and the civil rights act.
  14. Booming Economy right? Well was everyone aware that the big real estate market was pushed by people buying second homes...4/10 homes sold were the wealthy buying second homes. So as we can see, just because the economy is booming for the wealthy doesn't mean it is booming across the board.
  15. My girlfriend's brother gave up pork about a year ago. I could easily give up pork before beef.
  16. It has already been speculated that phone numbers will eventually be matched to SSN numbers, which will open the door to medical records etc.... So how would you like to not be able to get a job because through the click of a mouse button, it is determined you are too expensive for the company to insure?
  17. I really liked the Foley/Funk segment, I just wish Foley had some better material than... "Me and Edge had the best hardcore match ever in all of wrestling" And then claiming Edge wants to protect something he "invented" umm...wtf?
  18. Is "Beth" Lita's blonde sister?
  19. Ending was......interesting. Now for the love of gawd they need to get RVD into Cena's space now and start building
  20. Ending was......interesting.
  21. So if WWE is smart, the end of the match involves either Cena or RVD dropping their title, due to the other one accidentaly costing them the match, which sets up a staredown AT THE LEAST.
  22. Well yeah I mean because of media pundits your average fool believes Democrat = Liberal and Republican = Conservative when in fact that is hardly the case anymore, except on social issues, which even still the line is blurred somewhat.
  23. I don't think anyone in this thread is arguing that a lower-class is unavoidable, however, it is the fact that the middle class is shrinking that is causing concern. Also, haven't studies shown that there is a significantly less chance of someone "working their way up" through the system then say 50 years ago. In otherwords, you can have a college education and experience but there is still a "ceiling" for everyone unless you were basically "born into your position" Without a vibrant middle class, you basically get an upper-class and the working poor, which is what trickle-down economics is basically all about.
