The fact that gays cannot get married by the state, is enough in itself to say this country is still bigoted in some ways. Add to that the banning of gay foster parents, and the fact that people actually feel someone should not be able to be a teacher based on sexual orientation. The Nazi comparison and the Nurenburg comparisons are irrelevent whether proven true or false, because it shouldn't ever have to get THAT BAD before we recognize daily discrimination.

Community College in general is cheap enough to where you can do it and get it done with, with little comittment, and slowly over a long period of time if you are the type of person that is not so motivated or short on time, however once you get the AA, and move on to a university it is then time to take it more seriously and buckle down.

Still holding out hope that the Kings can win their series if they take Game 2. Dangerous_A was correct though, if the Kings go down big again, I don't think the Sonics will go to sleep, although a lot of it had to do with poor shooting, which is a key factor into why the Kings got down in the first place. Honestly, and I know in the short-term, it might be irrelevent, but I really am interested to get the reaction from all 30 of the kid's parents that took part in this act of violence, and see if they are remourseful at all. Far too many parents these days look at an incident like this(well the parents involved I mean) and will go to great lengths to free their child from any responsibility, but 30 vs. 4, with girls being sent to the hospital, seriously...WTF?

What is the point about posting threads about dirty money being funneled into campaigns? It happens on both sides, a lot, and either you want soft money out of campaigns or not, it is hard to have a middle ground here, but as long as you side, and vote to keep soft money legal, dirty money will funnel in.

I think people are overrating the "geek" factor. Well unless you consider everyone there a geek just for the fact that they are there for the 12:01am show, but then again, no one whined and complained of geekdom for the Matrix midnight shows, and trust me there was just as many "neos" as "jedi" I mean at least Star Wars has a legacy. Around here there have been a small handful of people that took it a bit too far for the midnight shows, but overall it was mostly folks in either their late teens or early - mid twenties, looking like any other crowd for a date movie on a saturday night. I personally, enjoy the experience of being with others who are diehard fans of something and made the little extra effort to see the show first. Speaking of seeing it first, my mom's friend's daughter works at the Lucas ranch and does some sort of accounting stuff, and Lucas screens the film for them two weeks prior to it opening on a private state of the art theater....WOW!!!

*raises hand* I just fandango'd four tickets for my group for the 12:01am showing....and I made sure to get it in the SDDS sound theater. Whoooo~! Less then a month away~!

Not sure if anyone has their tix yet for the midnight show, but Fandango is starting to allow pre-orders. I checked today and they have the option to buy midnight show tickets at the theater by my house. I am going to purchase them Friday(pay day).

The fact that the crowd didn't care about JR and were basically dead silent during the entire thing, shows one, that putting JR in a match is a fucking stupid idea, and two, even smarky-mcmark could predict what was going to happen to end the segment, so the excitement factor was on the low side.

I didn't say Savage was more mainstream either, actually. Savage's whole schtick is basically that he is the lone voice out there left for traditional conservatives, and that most people, including fellow ®'s in power, are willing to throw their support behind anyone with an ® in the name of power, however that has nothing to do with being more mainstream or not as a radio host. I never said Traditional = Mainstream. Of course Limbaugh is more mainstream, but that is besides the point and irrelevent.

Ok, besides the immigration policy, what else have you got, and then you have to tell me there was no candidate that shared Bush's beliefs PLUS a strict immigration policy. Not to mention that immigration policy talk is almost useless as neither side cares to do anything about it, so it sounds nice to get on the radio and rile everyone up with some banter about "rotten illegals" however, since no mainstream politician endoreses fixing any said-problem, unless Rush is actively promoting a candidate that wants to do something about it, then it makes no difference. Also, I never said Savage was more SANE, I just said he is a more traditional conservative and doesn't put those traditional views in the backseat just because the Republicans in control choose to act differently then traditional conservatives.
