  1. I am in Las Venturas, and the mission I am currently on is where I have to intercept the mobster plane coming into town jump into it, shoot down all the mobsters, and then land it in the airport. I tried it half asleep last night and crashed the plane, but no doubt when I get home I will pass it tonight. Anyone have an approximate number of missions I still have left in Las Venturas until I go back to Los Santos?
  2. well when I discovered it last night, it JUST got put on the net, I mean since undoubtingly about 1000000000 more people know about it now I am sure the place is swamped with traffic, you might want to try other places that might have picked it up by now, like aintitcoolnews and movie "insider" sites like that. I'd send it to ya, but I am at work.......
  3. the download, or the file itself?
  4. I just love the way Palpatine says not to show any mercy on the Jedis, and the way Anakin is waking all bad-ass into the jedi temple, and then you just hear jedis shrieking and probably breathing their last gasps before they are torn to shreds....
  5. Or you can compare Evolution to the Original Triple Threat: Shane Douglas - Triple H - The Boss Benoit - Batista - The Muscle Malenko - Orton - The ring technician Rude - Flair - The Manager(well technically Rude wasn't a part of the original TT, but for the purposes of comparisons, I will use him here)
  6. DAMMIT. Ok this is really the last reply. Those were Vince ORIGINALS though, not something that at one time had an establish fan base. The return of "unmitigated bullshit" I like it. Oh and hey Kronus could be pretty decent when he laid off the donuts. New Jack, was well, New Jack, and Mustafaa, yeah, no comment, but hey Christy Hemme(sp?) has a match on WM, so Vince obviously doesn't have a problem with unmitigated bullshit on shows.
  7. I would argue that the Malenko/Guerrero matches that took place in '95 were some of the best matches in the US that year. Certainly the WWF wasn't doing anything great that year, outside of Michaels and Hart, and Benoit, Malenko, and Guerrero's matches in WCW generally weren't as good as their ECW work because they were usually given less time. Honestly, Michaels v Mankind blew out the Guerrero/Malenko matches in 1995 (and I've seen more than a few of the Guerrero/Malenko matches, so I can speak on this). -=Mike ...And, unlike Guerrero/Malenko, Michaels v Mankind actually had crowd heat... What does Michaels/Mankind have to do with matches in 1995 though? Ah, yes, wrong year. Michaels v Ramon blew them out of the water. -=Mike Oh, I see.....of course it did. Ok really though, now I go to sleep.

  9. Why are you turning this into a conversation about whether ECW was good or not? It is irrelevant to the discussion, the question is whether the ECW brand is still marketable or not, and Vince must think it is marketable enough for one ppv. Also, you seem to be assuming that whatever WWE puts on for the ECW show, will be a good representative of an actual ECW show from their peak, which is yet to be seen. Anyways, we can pick this up tomorrow, I gotta hit the sack.
  10. Actually I do often wonder how the hell Shane Douglas got PPV clearance, and just how he convinced the PPV companies to broadcast it. Did he? I didn't even think he was trying to get it on PPV. Actually I am not 100% sure how it is going to work. Some reports said it will be a dark show, later released by RF Video.
  11. ANother question though will be which games actually make use of the systems peak capabilities. I mean if you look at Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, and then compare it with graphics of other games, it is obvious some companies go half-assed on graphics to curb costs, so they better not expect me to pay $70 on a game where the game makers aren't doing everything possible to use the system's capabilities.
  12. Couldn't that be said for just about any indy that catches fire? The argument too often happening is between those who hated ECW and those who thought it was the best thing ever. Why can't it just be considered an entertaining alternative at the time? The non-profitable thing, sure no denying that, but that is called Indy wrestling. Not many of them are profitable for any long periods of time without some very good sponsorship. Well maybe Vince sees money in it. Is it any stupider then having a Taboo Tuesday II? Vince seems to be an overall good business man, and he sees how well the dvd sold, and he probably figures not everyone who bought it is a former ECW mark, so possibly there is still interest in the brand. If the PPV bombs and/or no one buys it, he will eat it, but I guess that is part of taking risks in the business. Since he owns ECW and WCW likenesses now, maybe he is trying to see if there is enough interest to ressurect the ECW brand, who knows, really? Actually I do often wonder how the hell Shane Douglas got PPV clearance, and just how he convinced the PPV companies to broadcast it.
  13. Stating the obvious requires neither being witty or original. It also makes your petty bitching that you "get the point" of my disdain for ECW exceptionally hypocritical. -=Mike No, starting a thread about it, maybe would be hyocritical, or every five or so replies, adding a "yeah steph sucks" reply maybe, but an off-color remark once in awhile is much different then a consistent habit to show up in a thread simply to say, "Overrated Trash" over and over again.

  15. Err, umm, why Stephanie McMahon? Is this simply so she can have her name attached or is she going to amply destroy this ppv, the way naming her "owner of ECW brand" helped kill off the invasion angle? Yup, it was Steph who killed the Invasion. Not that the good workers from both companies were ALREADY in the WWE beforehand. -=Mike I wasn't trying to imply she single-handedly destroyed it, however there was definately a collective hush over the crowd as she walks out and was introduced as the "owner of ECW brand" and it was pretty much downhill from there. Destroyed it, possibly not, but it was definately one hell of a shitty idea.
  16. Wow, you mean the WWE could attract the guys who couldn't keep a company afloat? Woo hoo! -=Mike Umm, can you please reserve your trolling for the Current Events forum, thanks. Why not go screw yourself? -=Mike ...Oh, sorry, I guess only ECW lemmings are permitted to speak in your shitty world, eh? No, but it gets tiresome in every thread regarding "ECW" you chime in with your usually "witty" statements, adding nothing to the discussion, other then to try and unintentionally start a flame war. I am sure you have no interest in seeing this ppv or the Shane Douglas/ECW show, that was made apparent, about three replies earlier by you in this thread, so your presence is not needed anymore, you hate ECW and everything about it, Alright, we get it.

  19. The problem with the fight scene wasn't just "the punch after the bell" The Blue Bear chick must have thrown at least 4 illegal punches/elbows/low blows etc.....all throughout the fight, and it is so unrealistic to say the ref missed ALL OF IT. With that said, it was still a good film.
  20. It isn't the best of quality because it was obviously illegally taped at a movie theater, but you can pretty much perfectly tell what's going on and OMG EP III looks like it is going to be so BADASS...... just click the link and wait for the countdown timer(approx 15 seconds)..... EPISODE III FULL TRAILER ENJOY!!!
  21. I don't think it matters exactly who is on the show or not. People bought the ECW DVD in masses, and unless you are prepared to make a claim that everyone who bought it was just an old ECW mark coming out from under a rock, then it is obvious that there is still interest in the ECW brand/mystique. The PPV might not be great, due to Vince/WWE writing etc....but that doesn't mean people won't be interested in buying it to see what it is all about. Quite frankly I don't care if Nunzio is a jobber on Smackdown, I would rather watch Nunzio vs. Tajiri for 20 minutes, then having to watch Tomko vs. Maven for 30 seconds. People should be able to suspend enough reality also, since it is an "ECW" ppv, then I am not sure quite how much their role on regular WWE programming is going to matter, ala just because they are a jobber on Smackdown, does not mean the commentators and atmosphere will be treating them like that on this ppv. If people have watched the DVD, then they know a lot of these WWE "jobbers" were a big part of ECW, and at one time were a part of the show that made it very good.
  22. I never clearly understood the concept that people under the age of 18, are only to be considered adults when it comes to punishment, or explaining what rights they don't get.
  23. The fact that she gets a WM match is horrible, especially the way the introductions and walk to the ring will be longer so they can flaunt their T&A, and then they will have to work a slow match because of her inexperience. I can see this match easily costing someone like Tajiri a little spot on WM.
  24. I just watch to see which chicks whore themselves out the most.
  25. I just got back from the Kings game. Kings win as Bibby hits the buzzer-beater~! WHOO.
