  1. I know that everytime you see the word Clinton its on a Mike post saying 'BUT YOU LEFT WING KAMUI-LOVING NAZI, CLINTON DID IT TOO~!!!!1" that wasn't the point. My point was that in 1998 the PNAC thing didn't come out of the blue. It came along with a push by the ENTIRE GOVERNMENT to make regime change an official policy. Yes, I understand this. However if that was the case, where was the government trying to make this case until after 9/11 happened and had the public by the balls when they were willing to go along with anything they said would "make us safer" It was oppurtunistic and highly manipulative. It is one thing if Bush said, "9/11 changed us, we can no longer allow anybody in any country to be oppressed, we are going to make sure everybody in the world is free from the grips of dictators/thugs/criminals etc..." but that isn't what he said, and that wasn't the bill of goods the american people were sold.
  2. I like how people magically assume I somehow am this huge Clinton supporter and agreed with everything the man did just because I don't happen to care for Bush.

  4. So I am looking over ebay for a parking pass and I see there are a bunch, however some are listed as "Parking: No Reserve" while some are just listed as "Parking Pass" is there a difference? I am thinking that one type gets you into the stadium, but you still just park where the staff directs your car to, while the other type is probably for high-end season ticket holders and is an actual reserved spot somewhere close to the the entrance gates to the stadium......!?! little help here....
  5. Actually Vitali is a draw, the problem is, no one else offers any type of background or story to rival him. When Lennox Lewis retired he probably took with him the potential for one of the bigger purses for a fight in some time, as the boxing world was wanting that rematch badly.
  6. Many Sad/Angry/Depressing endings to hollywood films have been cut and/or modified after being screened for the movie studios because they are afraid the masses will trash an entire movie because they didn't walk out all gushy in happy. I know in Fatal Attraction, the original ending was Glen Close not being dead and I believe killing the wife. Pretty Woman featured Richard Gere DUMPING Julia Roberts after all that lovy dovy bullshit, because quite frankly it FIT with his character. I take issue with movie studios altering works of art like that in order to potentially sell more tickets.
  7. Overall Spielburg is great. however I seem to be one of the few that didn't really like Saving Private Ryan, sanz the opening scene. The Normandy-beach storming scene was indeed fantastic, but after that I wished I had stopped watching the movie.

  9. I say Vitali wins via 6th round KO. I won't even be watching this, as it screams HBO premium channel main event, NOT ppv. Vitali is fun to watch and all, but I don't see why a fight against Danny Williams who beat a sucky Tyson is even on PPV.
  10. As an A's fan it will be sad to see Huddy go if he is indeed traded. Knowing Beane, it will only make the team stronger for the future, but Hudson was the first of the Big Three and was one of the first guys that signaled the return of the A's to prominence after the dreadful years of the mid-90's.
  11. Well considering this war in Iraq was planned and written and signed by the Bush family, Cheney, Rumsfield and others in 1998, I am sure they had plans back then as to who was going to profit from the war. Oh, I am getting the year 1998 from the earlier articles on the PNAC site.
  12. Um, really I don't care what historians say. We celebrate it when we do. Period. We don't have the exact day of the Resurrection down either, but we celebrate it. It's celebrated. I celebrate it. Changing it isn't going to make a lick of difference. well you missed the point of my comment, which was to basically say that the "christian" part of christmas is pretty much gone from the general public, which I can care less about, and what I am saying also is that since christmas at it's root is supposedly a celebration of christ's birth, then if it came to be a fact that he was born some other time, would that mean the celebration of christmas would be attempted to be moved to, or would people care less and associate christmas more with winter and snow and cold weather rather then jesus(methink so).
  13. It's not the act of "dealing with the dictator" as much as it is me as an american not being able to trust the government in regards to the reasons being given for doing such things. Nothing Bush has said so far has added up to a valid reason for why 1200+ american soldiers are dead right now, why the Iraq war has no end in sight, and why Osama Bin Ladin is still at large. I mean, whenever Bush seems to be asked, he sits there and squirms like a caterpillar and repeats the same old lines, asif if people don't read the paper or watch the news. Supposedly we are in a "War on Terrorism" however we are being told that we are in Iraq to "liberate a people" from a bad person, but not a terrorist. Hey and why not require Haliburton to share about 25% of the billions and billions in profit they are getting from this war, with the soliders and their families(Mike's unrealistic thought of the day... )
  14. I still don't understand why people take the 9/11 comission all that seriously considering they agreed to supress criticism of Bush until after the election. I mean I am sorry but whatever they know should be a part of the public record immediately considering it should be an important factor in voting.
  15. Honestly, is Christmas even a christian holiday anymore? If we all turned on the news tomorrow and there was a BREAKING NEWS report saying "historians and religious scholars agree, Jesus was actually born in May" would anyone actually try and change the holiday? Doubt it.
  16. If I understand correctly, wasn't this group of Soldiers some platoons that were about to be deployed to Iraq, hence they were voicing their concerns for the situation over there and how the soldiers will be under-funded and under-equipped?
  17. I thought Saddam invading Kuwait in the Gulf War had to do with Oil, and how Kuwait was like siphoning oil off from a pipeline or something, so naturally since it hurt our oil interests if Saddam got back control of more oil, we went over there and invaded. Whatever the reason, I refuse to ever buy into a scenario that we are pre-emptively striking countries to "liberate a people" our governments inconsistent stances on just exactly which people deserve freedom, and which countries that treat their people like shit, yet we will still do business with them, and allow american corporations to operate and give them kickbacks for doing so is a disgusting thing. Any and all talk of Iraq being some type of threat died off awhile ago and now the flavor of the month reasoning is that we are "liberating people" Well how about all those ultra-conservatives think about invading hostile African nations next since they are in the "liberating mood" of course guys like Pat Robertson might not like ousting terrorists in Africa because it might hurt his stocks in those diamond mining projects.
  18. I am giving the local station a big FU today. Normally I never listen to the "hard rock" station anyway, but considering this tragedy I figured they would be honoring Dimebag, Pantera, Damageplan etc..today, at least for a good portion of the day. Well they proved that Clear Channel has final say, because the VJ would give a news update and then say, "we will play a few pantera songs, but we aren't going to dominate our programming with it" That is ONE THING, but the the shit they pulled, after each Pantera/DamagePlan song they would play some shitty song from some "hot new band" followed by the VJ having an orgasm over it. Oppurtunistic FUCKERS. Was it too much to take ONE DAY, or hell maybe just a 2hr block of programming and dedicate it to one of the pioneers of Heavy Metal over the past decade? Now I know why I stopped listening to FM Radio.....
  19. Any word yet on comments by Phil Anselmo?
  20. I can't wait for the top of hour MTV news segment when the feature some big story like, "Rapper 50 cent gives a "hard look" to fellow rapper at the buffet line" or some other nonsense like that.
  21. Well I dunno about you, but arabs that live in caves do not seem likely to be launching nuclear missles anywhere. Even if they get their hands on Nukes and the proper way to handle and transport them, I seriously doubt it will be conducted in such a way that a ballistic missle system could protect. I think we as a people(not just americans, but everyone) have to come to the realization that if nuclear war ever started, we just have the bite the bullet and die gracefully. I mean the thought of nuclear missles launching all over the place, and having a system in place that MIGHT knock down every 3rd warhead is not kind of heart-warming scenario.
  22. Not to mention the cost of this test is supposedly $85 million
  23. Here is a brand new movie to add. The Machinist. Christian Bale's physique is bad enough to put that movie in the list. It is indie theaters right now.
  24. I think that dark haired chick Sarah from the last challenge show was hot, as was the other Rachel, (not the lesbian) the one from the Back to NY RW season, she had bleached hair, but on the challenge it was sort of reddish brown and in pig tails a lot.
