That is cool man, being in the movie and all......and hey I was in Beyond the Mat for about 3 seconds.......LOL. You can see me if you know what to look for.....and having the DVD helps so when you pause, it isn't blurry. Anyways, I tried looking for this in Frys but they didn't have it and looked it up and said the closest place getting it was the bay area Frys, so I marched on home and ordered it off Amazon.com and should be getting it sometime around Monday or Tuesday......WHOO HOO........

I'll say the same thing for Brett Favre. Still a good QB, but not deserving of a Top 5 ranking. The problem with Favre over the last few years, is the lack of talent around him as far as WRs go. I mean sometimes I watch him on 3rd and long plays and it looks like he is so mad at his receivers that he just chucks the ball downfield, demanding someone go catch it......

I wouldn't really consider any of the three losses a choke, pretty much because they never appeared to be the better team during the games. Tampa Bay basically wiped the floor with them, and the Carolina game was pretty even until McNabb forgot that he wasn't a very efficient passer. That would be like saying the Cowboys choked last year against Carolina in the playoffs because they beat them in the regular season, even though it was more about Quincy Carter becoming Quincy Carter again over the course of the last five games of the season which carried into the playoffs.

or maybe the fact that there was actual effort and a build to Orton as champ, unlike Benoit who was treated as a 3rd-tier champ, in the way of Evolution's air time.

We'll have to see. If Gibbs does well, I'll eat crow, if not, that's that. Although I will say this, as much as Mark Brunell is a decent QB, Gibbs starting him over Patrick Ramsey is not such a hot move IMO. Ramsey has the chance to be the Redskins' QB for many years to come, and yet they are willing to shunt his development just so Gibbs can get his jollies by sticking to his MO of starting aging veterans. well if you followed the team's preseason and training camp, you'd see that Brunell clearly beat out Ramsey. I am a huge Ramsey fan, but the truth is, he still is showing some ill effects from last year's spurrier campaign. He is slowly shaking off the happy feet and shell-shocked feelings, but Brunell clearly had the better camp and performances in games, and on top of that Brunell is known for not looking that great in the preseason and doing just fine during the season(the opposite of Mr. Rob Johnson ). Ramsey will be the future QB for the Skins and thrive under this system. I actually think now he can settle in and continue to improve as a backup because he doesn't have the pressure of competition, yet he knows he is one snap away from getting into the game. Either way you look at it, our QB situation is good.

Angels lose and fail to capatilize on the A's stinkin' the joint up..... The A's did look like the better team last year in the regular season, between them and the Red Sox, and look what happened in the playoffs, so that just goes to show that if they happen to meet this year it could be a reverse of.........eh who am I kidding......ugh.

I wish somebody would put Veronica in her place. Well, Emily from Road Rules 2, was basically 10x coniving an manupulative as Veronica, not to mention a better competitor, but because she isn't as hot as Veronica, and/or not as willing to sleep with the entire male body from both casts, she hasn't been casted on a new challenege in awhile. I wish she would come back and then we could see Veronica return to scared puppy dog.

I am not trying to argue Portis being a top 3 or even top 5 RB, all I am saying is that under Gibbs system which produces success, RBs with a lot lesser talent then Portis have thrived. And as far as the "game passing Gibbs by" I guess that somehow didn't apply to Dick Vermiel, or the teams that still currently use a Gibbs-like offense.

The Kings being the best FT shooting team in the league, being ousted in the 2001 WCF against the Lakers in game 7 pretty much soley for missing FTs is a choke job.

maybe the French should say I told you so, to us, considering how abominable the post-war occupation has been going.

Dick Cheney brings the optimistic campaign
NoCalMike replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
I find Cheney's comments hilarious, considering their entire campaign is based upon the assumption that we will be attacked again in the near future, and we need Bush in office to lead us through it. We will be attacked again in this country on some level, and whoever is President won't make one damn of a difference. Oh and if I have to hear another "pre 9/11 world" "the world is different now" "9/11 changed things" etc.....comment, I am going to scream. The only thing 9/11 changed in this country is making it known how apparent people are willing to vote their fears, and how people can be scared into giving the president and his cronies freedom from accountability on a large variety of intelligence blunders and post-war planning strategies. Oh and there is that Patriot Act that is helping put away those drug offen...errrrr....TERRORISTS.... -
sure he is, anytime an offense specifically designs it's run plays to the opposite of wherever you are lined up on the field, it must mean you are SOMETHING special......Arrington usually leads the team in tackles or is at least in the top 3, and that is even with him having to run across the field to makes plays. Not to mention that for the FIRST YEAR in his NFL Career, this season he will be moved back to his NATURAL POSITION, weakside linebacker. So I fully expect to see his game stepped up a few notches this year.

You must be joking? He will be badly exposed as a Redskin. hmmm, so I guess Joe Gibbs and Joe Bugel, don't know how to coach? Please, just cease to exist already. Aren't those two coaches responsible for the Hall of Fame offensive line known as the hogs, and the offensive scheme that led 3 different RBs to superbowl wins? You can say what you want about the Denver system having producing good rushers, but the Gibbs/Bugel system produced 3 DIFFERENT SUPERBOWL WINNING RBs........

I just happen to find McCain appalling because everyone knows damn well he dislikes Bush, but knows the only way he will advance in the future is through the republican party, so he shills for Bush regardless.... However it is not half as appalling as Cheney inviting his entire family EXCEPT his lesbian daughter up on stage after his speech to celebrate, once again reinforcing the "gays are ok as long as they are over there" mentality of the republican party.

Wow, it almost makes me cry thinking about the past years when the A's bullpen would basically laugh and giggle at Ortiz being up to bat with the bases loaded being counted on to get a hit.......oh how the mighty have fallen.....
-
oh yes, yes I remember that quite well........freaky stuff.

speaking of liquored up fans......er umm......yeah anyways, I will be at the A's/Red Sox game tomorrow night. Lowe vs. Redman.........

I'll admit, I was wrong about these guys.
NoCalMike replied to Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye's topic in Music
well the entire style of the band changed too though, which is why in part Chris Barnes was replaced. I mean seriously when you listen to Corpsegrinder try and do the older Cannibal Corpse songs, he just doesn't have the deep voice for it, he has improved a lot since he first joined the band, but it is not nearly the same. -
if you get Showtime Beyond network, keep an eye out for "The Eye" it is a pretty cool Asian Horror flick about a girl who gets an eye transplant and starts seeing scary things....

Washington Redskins: Joe Gibbs, Marcus Washington, Shawn Springs, Sean Taylor, Phillip Daniels, Cornelius Griffith are the biggest aquisitions, with Champ Bailey being the biggest loss........ Philly should still win this division, but from there it is a tossup. The cowboys were 10-6 last season, but that include 10 weeks of mistake free football from a mobile quarterback. Vinny has been hitting the backs of DB's as much as the hands of receivers thus far in preseason. Add to that Vinny is one hit away from lala land and then it would a sticky situation in Dallas. Philly 11-5 Washington 9-7 Dallas 7-9 NY Giants 6-10

my favorite part about games like this is all the pretend Red Sox fans, showing up to the game out of the woodwork. Oh look, Manny the fuckface doing something else to make himself look like an ass. I hope he feels all cheery when his team tanks AGAIN in the playoffs.......1918 you piece of shit.
-
dammit, can the A's please cut arthur rhodes already......this is pathetic. Oh and it would be nice if the umpire knows the difference between a catch and a one-hop snag.......ugh.
-
can someone explain to me the "TB score" I am not absolutely sure what I am supposed to do. Once I understand I will just edit it into my previous post.........THANKS. If this is the thing where we were designated a certain team, (I think mine was Indy) and we are just listing how much we think they will score this week, then I am understanding correctly.........
