well half the green party supports Nader, buddy. The other half fall under the "don't run, you might make Bush win" category. It isn't like the Green Party up and turned their backs on Nader, it was just a split amongst the ranks. And about Nader getting on TV and speaking, to get his message out, well it WOULD be accurate, but lets see, last time I saw him on hardball almost the entire segment was spend with Chris Matthews telling Nader he wasn't mature and accomplished enough because he didn't have kids.... The onle "talkshow" that shows Nader any kind of respect as a person with real ideas and opinions is Bill Mahr who voted for him in 2000, but is voting for Kerry in 2004(see the group in quotes above). Oh and Tyler, I never said you HAD to vote for Nader. All I am saying is that I agree with Nader's platform up and down, more then Kerrys. And I can give a flying fuck who is "electable" or not, hell YOU still would have voted for Dean.
-
THEY'RE NOT FALSE! He is trying to get on the ballots without getting valid signatures. Ok give me some facts then, not just rumors or "smoke" or democratic talking points from the campaign trail.....and hey man, why are you voting for Kerry anyway, I thought you were against the war?

Honestly, I don't know.

For any American fans of Shaun of the Dead
NoCalMike replied to Vanhalen's topic in Television & Film
I won tickets to a screening for Shaun of the Dead.....but I had class. That shit was earlier tonight too......Damn I am pissed. -
the problem is, there is no depth to these people so far. I actually though San Diego was a nice refresher from the crap that was Las Vegas.

Tyler, most of the democrats are making false accusations and challening Nader in court, because they know damn well he can't afford to defend himself, when the democrats have a seemingly endless flow of cash. It is a tactic to basically have it all tied up in court for a couple more months. Meanwhile your man Kerry is screwing up left and right, and can't find an effective way to go after Bush. If I were the democrats, I would be much more worried about my own representative, then Ralph Nader

If you use drugs, you're with the terrorists
NoCalMike replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
this tactic is old and tired, and sadly people still think it works. Just another reason to vote for Ralph Nader if you ask me, he is for ending the War on Drugs -
Whether his name is on the ballot or not should be besides the point, for any voter who has half a brain and still wants to vote for him, just write his name in. I think there are only maybe 2-3 states that don't allow write-in candidates. The more Kerry campaigns, the more my mind is made up to vote for Nader.

I am sure he means Damone. And quite frankly, that was a pretty exlicit scene for two "minors" well at least they it was eluded that they were minors. Jennifer Jason Leigh was one cooperative chick for that movie.

they were at the DNC of course.....

If you really wanted to do something useful. Keep funneling money from your parents and give it to charity or something, that way at least your principles are sort of kept. If your parents work for their money, then there is no reason to be ashamed of having wealth. This story sounds as legit as the episode of MTV's "Rich Girls" where one of the girls has a revelation about spending $200 for shoes, and how if they can waste that amount of money on that, they can certainly be donating more money to better causes. Look, don't get me wrong, everyone gets callings in life to go out and make it on their own, but I think your approach may be a bit drastic.

Well, back in the day we had 2 episodes a night, and they would vary in what era they would show. Then about 2 years ago they went down to one episode a night and they only seemed to show episodes made in the last year or two. Well NOW they started playing a second episode and it was the one where Bart cheated on the test and was placed in the school for gifted. This was the second of the two episodes and the first ep was the one where Marge lifted weights after living in fear after being mugged. So it looks like they are going from OPPOSITE directions now......oh joy~!

That's LIBYA, Mike, not SYRIA. Syria is the country that supposedly is hosting many of the Iraqi top leadership not in US custody, as well as the supposed destination of Saddam's WMDs right before the recent Iraq war started. Libya is Gaddafi's little dictatorship that admitted it was trying to start a nuclear program. damn, wipe me outta this thread......
-
umm, hasn't the current administration been touting Syria's huge disarment? Go ahead and scratch that one off the list, fellas.

This news, opposed to here that wants to put someone away for life for a 3rd misdemeanor.

I watched a trailer awhile back for The Machinist. Looked like some good stuff to me.

I am just wondering, because most places that have advertised it, have shown it as a gold n black box, but dvdreview.com just put up their "first look" of the set, and it is shown as a silver n black box, and sometimes that indicates a different screen format.....anyone know if they are releasing it in fullscreen and widescreen?
-
Almost every "underground" punk-core female led group has claimed that Courtney Love has stolen their "gimmick" who knows though.
-
For those who haven't found them yet, here are some easter eggs found so far throughout the set. http://www.dvdreview.com/html/hidden_features.shtml

it sounds DAMN interesting.....I will look for it at the arthouse out here.
-
no no...see that is being "smart"

and of course the chair doesn't come anywhere close to hitting the intended person, instead smacking a FEMALE in the side of the head.......brilliant move.

Once again this is a classic case of NFL Fever. I mean it is week 2, and the outcome of the game will probably not affect anything by the time Week 17 rolls around. This game should be fun, as both defenses are not that good, and both have an above average QB/WR combo. The Eagles have relied on defense though to get them to the NFCchampionship the past 3 years, and the Vikings keep missing out on the playoffs because of their lack of defense. Well the Eagles D might have finally caught up to the Vikings in terms of softness, so this should be a high scoring affair. 38-31 Vikings methinks.
