  1. Well tonight's edition was the "look we are everyday people" night. Get your barf bag ready for the next couple of nights.
  2. Well then the question is, in 2008, could Rudy still leech off of 9/11....? Clearly, he was going through a very low approval point just prior to 9/11. His handling of 9/11 and the following weeks made him popular again, and there is nothing wrong with that, but again I have to question, who would handle it any differently? I file Rudy under the "well HE happened to be Mayor during 9/11" and behaved like a mayor should in that situation. Seriously though, he has no appeal outside of NYC.
  3. Thing is, if the War on Terror is still a problem in 2008 --- can ANYBODY hope to run against Giuliani? You can't call him far right because he clearly isn't. You can't accuse him of politicizing 9/11 because he was the one who dealt with it on the ground. You can't accuse him of being dumb because he clearly is not. Giuliani would be a brutally hard person for the Dems to beat. -=Mike Umm, if the war on terrorism is still a problem in 2008, then the liberals would be right on just about every count.
  4. Anyone excited about the "LIBERAL MEDIA" covering Arnold and Laura's speeches on the 3 major networks?
  5. Laura just said, "you will always know where my husband stands on the issues" Oh really? Someone quick, ask Dubya if we can win the war on terrorism.....and then ask him again 5mins later.
  6. the crowd is worse then a WWE crowd, with a USA chant every minute.
  7. I find it funny Arnold is going to tout the oppurtunities he had as an immigrant during his speech tonight, when he is also looking to raise college tuition by 50% according to his budget. Arnold had so much fluff during the recall, yet he turned out to be just another "I got mine, the rest of you can go fuck yourselves" republican. And just what was he doing meeting with Ken Lay during the rolling blackouts a couple of years ago...... "I don't recall" says Arnold........that is the typical, "oops I'm caught" answer.
  8. When do tonight's speeches start?
  9. Damn, when did this happen? I just got home from work, I must have missed it. I wonder if it will be edited out of the replay.
  10. Guliani's appeal outside of NY = ...
  11. I'm buying it. One of my favs of the year.......
  12. Gwar and the almighty Dying Fetus.........OH HELL YEAH, and I thought Dying Fetus & Skinless was the shiznit.....this is gonna kick all sorts of ace.
  13. I dunno if he can save the country, but that IS who I am voting for.
  14. We have a diner called the Silver Skillet, it is open 24/7, and makes some of the best, mindnight cravings food ever. Plus it is pretty damn inexpensive. Also since it is right by a truck stop, there is ALWAYS an interesting crowd of folks, and a gift shop. They have 2 TV's positioned high up, and one is ALWAYS on Fox News and the other is ALWAYS on CNN.....so I guess if you have the right crowd there, the resteraunt can get pretty rowdy.
  15. I am working data entry and going to class at night, usually 3-4 nights(weekdays only). It isn't THAT bad, but I just hate the fact that I have to usually choose what to sleep through, and hour of work or an hour of class.....LOL. Seriously, I mean if I went STRAIGHT TO BED when I got home from class, then I would probably not have this problem, but screw that.
  16. hence, why I am not voting for Kerry. Quite frankly, I am done with waiting to hear an alternate plan. Kerry has had ample time, and failed miserably. I dunno if Kerry is just to scared to talk about it, or if he in fact has no plan. I mean hell, his entire lead-in was talking about Vietnam which was probably the most irrelevent presentation I have seen in recent history(well besides Guliani's speech last night). I was hoping for Kerry to give us SOMETHING on the way he would differ in his approach in Iraq and abroad, and predictably, he offered nothing.
  17. The funny thing is, liberals have been screaming this at Bush and his administration for a couple of years now, and in return they were called unamerican, sissys, traitors, treasonous, unpatriotic etc.......It isn't like Bush dropped some enlightened opinion on us, in fact his lame attempts the last couple of days to make sure to get in the line, "we are winning it, and WILL WIN IT" shows he still hasn't a clue.
  18. ermm, did you cut the article short, cause the Bush daughters were receieved with boos, as well. People are dumb sometimes.
  19. I never said I was siding with the illegal immigrants. I am just posing a question. I have said time and time again on this board that I think illegal immigration is getting a bit out of control, however at the same time it is much more complex issue then the typical right-wing "round em up, and toss em over the fence" solution that is often the best insight we get from conservatives. All I am saying is that is a complex issue with a LOT of implications tied in, both positive and negative.
  20. Azif you've ever needed permission before.....
  21. I had class so I watched some replays when I got home. The 9/11 stuff was kind of repetative and overexposed. Firefighters and policemen doing their job and coworkers helping each other out of the building really has NOTHING to do with the president at all, coworkers helping each other out of the building. Rudy's speech was nice fluff, and I could easily see it winning over some fence sitters. However, watching McCain get up there and support a man that he practically bashes or speaks out against every other week, was kind of depressing. And before I get a list of instances where dems do the same thing, STOP, I know, I am just commenting on the RNC. No class tonight, so I get to watch Arnie talk a lot but probably say nothing.
  22. yes because any questions and/or dissention is obviously a conspiracy
  23. w in the f'n f.........just sick. animal abuse is freaking disgusting......
  24. I like the boneless wings.......all your applebees' hate is nothing compared to the contempt I have for the overpriced hell hole that is........TGIFs or more commonly known as "Friday's"
  25. This has to create an interesting dynamic within that family, given Alec's political beliefs. the greater dynamic is between Stephen Baldwin, and rational thinking people.
