  1. So when the debates began I was flipping throught the cable news channels to see who was showing it, and I stopped at Fox News to see what O'Reily would be featuring on his show....so his first two lead stories, one is about "conservative angst" and the other about "far left wing hate" The interesting part is the fact that he managed to label Mike Malloy a far left extremist, but then at the same time labled Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter as merely "Conservatives" Now, I have heard Mike Malloys radio show on many occassions and I wouldn't deny he is rather left of left, but the nerve to then turn around and not consider people like Rush and/or Coulter the yin to Malloy's yang, and merely say they are "angry conservatives" is kind of peculiar.
  2. I was listening to Laura Ingrahm on the way to work today and she was all snooty because I guess Obama is in favor of either decriminilization or outright legalization of pot......has he actually come out and said this on the campaign trail? If so, kudos to him because while a lot more politicians agree with this stance then people think, very few of them have the balls to say it until they are out of office or at least in a lameduck situation.
  3. I always wondered why people would want to elect candidates to government who don't believe in the government so much. I can understand not wanting the government to run wild, but is it really that much more comforting to think of a day where the government is being marginalized in favor of multi-national corporations with nothing but the bottom line for shareholders on their agenda? Oh wait....
  4. I think maybe that scientist is responsible for figuring out how to make living tissue able to thrive on a terminator exo-skeleton. The Terminator was all busted up going into that scene and when he comes out of bathtub of blood it seems like he has brand new skin. Maybe!?! I got that part, but the first time Cromarte disrobes and is just full on skeleton, he reaches his hand out as if to say "Give me the tape recorder" and the scientist shuts the door behind him. It made absolutely no sense and I just can't figure what was going on there as there was no verbal communication. Oh....umm. Good question. Maybe since the Terminator was planning on killing the scientist who basically invented that process, he wanted to record the event for future use or something....I dunno, to maybe document what was taking place....!?!
  5. Well noone really knows the timeline between each movie (besides 4-6 because of the Tommy Jarvis character) so basically by the time the next movie starts "Jason Voorhees" is reduced to a campfire tale that people don't really believe happened....I mean I would imagine like any business, if something tagic happened, it would take awhile but eventually you re-open for business, and especially in the earlier movies because Jason wasn't a Super-Indestructable Jason Zombie until Part 6.....
  6. Yeah, how about the techno-slut doing her quasi-robot dance in the room before she is slaughtered? Campy goodness!!!
  7. Ok here we go.... NOES: 1,3,6,7(new nightmare),4,5,2 FT13th: 3,1,4,7,6,2,8,5 FvJ > Jason X > Jason Goes To Hell
  8. Human Cannonball needs to comeback and I would also like to see the return of Atlasphere.

    Wii

Funny I should ask this question now after reading the last few posts in this thread, but I will ask anyway.... So I have my Wii on 24/7 and every so often the disc tray starts glowing blue......WHY? Is it telling me there is a news update or something!?!
  10. Anyone that has been following politics the past eight years has to laugh at Republicans claiming that they are fiscally conservative or the notion that they would "cut spending" It has become painfully apparent that Republicans spend just as much if not more then Democrats, they just choose to spend the money on different things and then call it "fiscally conservative" not due to less spending, but due to what the money happens to be spent on.
  11. So just to give an update, the router software still isn't acknowleding a working internet connection, but despite that the internet, PS3, and Wii are all connected and working fine. I am not sure why the router won't acknowledge an internet connection but I am done trying for now and as long as everything keeps working the way I currently have it setup then SO BE IT!!!
  12. I don't necessarily not like Part 2, there are a bunch of so bad it's funny moments, but I definately think that besides the references to part 1, Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2 could almost be a stand-alone flick because of the way it changes the formula and if you do view it as a stand alone flick, like maybe forget you ever saw the first one, then it doesn't come off as awful. I enjoyed 3-6 and Freddy v. Jason was campy fun. Hell, I own the box set complete with 3-D glasses!!! As far as the remake goes, I am not sure why it is necessary considering sequels were still being made up to a few years ago with plenty of rumors of more coming. It's not like it is a series in stagnation that has not been heard from in a decade or so....
  13. I don't think that's something you should be proud of. Ive voted in every election since 2000 (Nader/Erlich(MD Gov)/Kerry/Erlich) Im still pissed because MD moved up their Primary I couldnt register as a Republican from an Independent and thus cant vote in any primary here in Maryland. Erlich losing and the state of Maryland turning into a shithole over night after 4 good years of a Republican Governor was my "pivot point" so to speak in terms of my change from independent to Republican. From voting for Nader to being a loyal Glenn Beck listener.....that is quite the philosophical change. Anyways, back to the election; Edwards is gone. Some say he is a lock for AG if Obama wins, but who really knows. It will be interesting to see if Obama can pull off CA and/or NY.
  14. Too bad isn't running
  15. Thats discussed on page 146-147 of "An Inconvenient Book" in the chapter on Media Bias. after "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies" most people leave out the part "And I know you're not" as well as "I am not accusing you of being an enemy" and "I really dont believe that Islam is a relgion of Evil. I -- you know I think its being hijacked, quite frankly" But everyone ran to attack beck with the "prove to me you are not working with our enemies" line..completely ignoring the rest. How about the time when he called the Katrina victims scumbags..or called Jimmy Carter "a waste of Skin"..oh wait..he actually meant that last one. Umm, how is it media bias? No one twisted his words, and I posted the entire thing including what you just typed. Watch the video for yourself. The guy came off as pompous asshole. Tell me what was the point of asking the question in the first place....was it just Glenn Beck humor and I just don't "get it"? No one is "ignoring the rest" It was obvious he was just being a prick for the sake of being a prick when he starts the entire thing off with "yeah I know you are for cutting and running"
  16. Here is some more of Glenn Beck's greatest hits for our resident fan. In this approx 2 minute piece Mr. Beck asks the first Muslim to be elected to the house to PROVE he isn't "working with the enemy" but I mean that's all ok because he says "he likes muslims" at the beginning..... ::shotgun to head::
  17. If Bush would have said something in his speech along the lines of "In today's climate we are divided on our view of the war on Iraq, but one thing we all can be supportive of, is our troops efforts" then the Democrats would have applauded and you know it. It is the fact that once again Bush wants to tie "support of the troops" in with whether or not someone is willing to sign more war funding bills and whether or not they agree the surge is working. It has little to do with "support the troops" Honestly, I think the guy still thinks it's 2004. It is a sad fact, but "support our troops" is such a meaningless throw-away slogan now-a-days.
  18. How come everyone hates G4? Or is it just the way they rate games!?!
  19. Anyone have a clue when Robbie Lawler is defending his title?
  20. It's not really a mini-diet, I will still be doing the diet once I start the gym, however I wanted to start the diet before I started the gym to see how my body reacts to the diet. Also, the diet might be adjusted once I start the gym.
  21. With Tank, it is basically; Survive the initial flurry of punches and then Tank is gassed and barely standing on his own.
  22. Weeds is Great.
  23. Yeah, on pretty much every other broadcast channel. But it wasn't on Fox. I think some Fox affiliates did show it. According to my program guide it was on my local Fox. I just never actually flipped it to Fox to check for sure.
  24. I think maybe that scientist is responsible for figuring out how to make living tissue able to thrive on a terminator exo-skeleton. The Terminator was all busted up going into that scene and when he comes out of bathtub of blood it seems like he has brand new skin. Maybe!?!
  25. Why doesn't the government pass a law that stops allowing them to borrow from the Social Security trust fund or just raise the 90k tax cap they have on it. We have a progressive tax system, that is the way it is, someone making 30k should not be paying the same rate of social security taxes as someone making a million dollars annually. And about HSAs, yeah they sound great, until you actually have to go to the hospital for something and twenty plus years of savings is virtually wiped out for something as simple as a broken leg, x-rays, cast, and cast removal.....I sometimes think people don't understand how expensive it truly is to go to the hospital. That is why it was something like over 70% of all bankruptcy claims were filed due to people not being able to afford medical costs. An HSA is not a bad idea for something like perscription drugs, or for simple doctor visits, but any type of trip to the ER or Hospital and someone makes under 100k a year couldn't save enough in their entire life to afford the costs. Everytime I hear a republican say "fix social security" what comes out of their mouth seems more like "get rid of social security" and they are just being ingenuine about what they really want to say. We might not need "socialized medicine" but what I am NOT HEARING from any candidate is how we can get the cost of insurance and/or health insurance down to the point where almost everyone can afford it. And I am not talking about the rag-tag version where it is just a piece of paper that says "insured" yet when you actually need to use it, your co-pays are $100 or more.
