Farewell RVD, let's hope you end up somewhere that allows you to entertain us to your fullest capacities again!!! -
That's the irony about it all. People are paying premiums that are going through the roof, and show no sign of slowing down, yet are so hung up on the word "tax" that they would rather pay a premium that is likely 250% higher then any type of health tax would be.

I dunno why this thread was bumped, but damn if it doesn't bring back some memories of the TSM yester-year with some of the member names I saw.

Well this Saturday should be interesting. HBO is featuring Sugar Shane vs. Collazo, while Showtime is debuting Elite XC with Shamrock/Gracie headlining the show. I am going to watch both definately, but I am still uncertain of which I will watch live and which I will tivo. I am leaning towards the boxing live, because I still think the spectacle of a good live boxing match is unmatched by MMA at this point.

I don't even remember it getting a theatrical release, but I remember watching it on video way back, and now it comes on cable/satellite a bunch. Another flick with J-lo before she was a star/diva. I always thought this movie deserved better.

Chopping up bacon into pieces and putting it in the croc-pot for the length of the cooking time is also something that enhances the flavor. Not just the bacon pieces themselves, but also the fat and oils from the bacon give an awesome flavor to the chili.

Well that, and all his added muscle mass and HORRENDOUS acne scattered all over his body indicating steroid use. Really, I am not sure how beating Snitsky, Test, Holly is really helping Lashley. If Vince is serious about Lashley, why not just put him back on Smackdown and/or Raw and start beating some stars. It would be better for both Lashley and the ECW brand overall.

I found it amusing that Vince was calling the ECW Originals a bunch of has-beens, when at Wrestlemania, HBK & UT are competing for WWE Titles.

Yay. It's an 80's high school comedy so I don't have much of a problem with not being able to relate to it in the present time. I mean my highschool experience was NOTHING like Fast Times at Ridgemont High(well except maybe the pot and fantasizing about hot chicks) but I still love the flick.

Well, part of the documentary eludes to a lot of Kliq-esque antics going on, and even though it isn't the same EXACT enviornment today, I think it would be fairly interesting to see what the Kliq was doing behind the scenes back then and compare that to what we hear about them now-a-days from Meltzer.

Which is why it is becoming increasingly frustrating to watch the Bush Administration, especially Mr. Dick "Everything is fine, the premise of your question is hogwash" Cheney. It's not like plenty of experts weren't predicting the current situation all along, and warning Bush what it would be like if he started this up. So almost five years later, the situation is getting worse all the time, and the Admistration acts like it was "suprised" by the insurgency and everything else.....for fucks sakes.

Is anyone seriously wondering about all these helicopter "crashes" I mean there have been what like 5 in the last two weeks? Is that normal? Would there be a vested interest in lying about them being crashes, and the truth being that they are actually being shot down, by weaponry that we have armed the Iraqis with?

Best Advice? Don't.

Dawson was so impressive, it almost made me forget how dissapointing Adamek was at the same time....

The definition of the word progressive and the "progressive" wing of the democratic party are probably different. To me, "progressive democrats" are basically the ones that agree more with the Green Party, but for whatever reason, aren't ready to fully detatch themselves from the Democrat Party, so it is kind of a middle ground. In other words, the Progressives are there to make sure, or at least try their best to make the Mainstream Democrats focus on more issues then the big talking point crowd pleasers. Thom Hartman is a good example of a progressive democrat, of course he is also very anti-illegal immigration(which makes him stand out from a lot of other progressives) for reasons other then the most common reasons the GOP hate illegal immigration(Racism, Fear of Terrorists getting through)

Spicy Pineapple Pork Chili (Crockpot) Ingredients 1 pound lean boneless pork, trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes 1 cup dried small white beans, rinsed and drained 1 cup hot water 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained, juice reserved 1 can (4 ounces) diced green chilies 1 medium onion, chopped 1 tbsp chili powder (or more or less to taste) 1 tbsp cumin (or less to taste) 1/2 tsp garlic powder Instructions In a 3-1/2-quart electric slow cooker, combine the pork, beans, hot water, tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, juice from pineapple chunks, chilies, onion, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder; mix well. Cover and cook on the low heat setting 8-1/2 to 9 hours until the pork and beans are tender, stirring once halfway through the cooking time, if possible. Stir in the pineapple chunks and serve. Serves 4 to 6.

That could actually work. Well IMO, the only intriguing aspect is if UT picks Cena and sticks with it. I mean if he just switches to Batista at the next PPV, all intrigue is lost.

By LAW, they are supposed to send them out by January 31st.....I dealt with a lot of temp agencies in 2006, and a lot of times temp agencies forget these things and need to be called....

Had it not been for two plays, the kickoff return, and the big run by Thomas Jones, this Superbowl would have been completely unwatchable.

I made a pineapple pork chilli once. Good shit. If you are even interested, let me know.

1. Art Monks #'s Rec - 940 Yards - 12721 Y/R - 13.5 Tds - 68 2. Micheal Irvin #'s Rec - 750 Yards - 11904 Y/R - 15.9 Tds - 65 Art Monk also played with Ricky Sanders and Gary Clark, and before they came along it was a run-oriented offense with Riggins. Michael Irvin was the lone Wide Receiving threat besides the couple of years Al Harper was worth a damn. I'm sorry, but WTF is a meaningless stat? Is catching the ball for a third down conversion a "meaningless stat" because it didn't make sportscenter? Define meaningless stat. If it is third down and the ball is coming your way, whether 13 yards are needed or 4 yards are needed, how is it "meaningless" to be the go-to guy in those situations throughout your entire career!?! Yes, I understand a lot of players sometimes compile garbage yards at the end of games when the game is out of hand, but I dare you to show me that is how Monk compiled his stats. Plus, and people need to realize this, you should be judged against Wide Receivers of YOUR OWN ERA, not the next generation or two generations later. It would be silly to suggest that we go through the HOF and throw out players from the 60's and 70's because their stats don't compare to players of today, yet that is exactly what people are doing with Monk who played his prime years in the 80's. It doesn't matter which of Art Monk's records have been broken SINCE HE RETIRED. The more important fact is that he retired with those records. Oh and number of probowls is the most meaningless stat ever and should by courtesy to all NFL players, be thrown out as a consideration for the HOF. I am not even trying to say Irvin shouldn't be in, but Art Monk should have been in years ago.

My best friend has the early symptoms of Glaucoma, which is on the list for medical marijuana. Of course he moved to Texas, so he won't be getting any, anytime soon.

The merch was so fucking overpriced. $35 for a t-shirt. $50 for a hoodie. $90 for a Slayer jersey.....ridiculous. The Pirates outside the place were selling the same shit for half the price...I bet they made a killing.

I remember hearing about this movie a long time ago. I think I even saw a teaser trailer with a release date, and then it all but vanished, fast. Then about a week ago a buddy of mine I haven't seen in a few years called me up, we hung out, and he told me he saw a flick called "Idiocracy" and I was amazed that he was able to find a copy. I guess most major video stores have copies of them now, so it shouldn't be long before the DVD Buzz starts, that is, if the movie generates any buzz.

I always preferred NBA 2K series to NBA Live....but when it comes to Football, I am a Madden guy.
