No, it doesn't air LIVE, there is a 2-3 delay now.

RVD had such little heat this week that I am starting to think that WWE production is altering crowd reaction. I also noticed that one of the "CM Punk" chants seemed to start and then immediately went away.....kinda strange.

holy shit......NILE!?! Hmmm....I might have to go. My girlfriend has never seen Ozzy live(he got laringitis last time Ozzfest was in Sacramento).

Dave Attell is the fucking MAN. Saw him a few years back at The Punchline. He had me rolling the entire time. Insomniac was also a hilarious series.

This is on my must-see list. We had a sneak peak here in Sacramento for Shaun, which sold out, so I hope we get one for Hot Fuzz as well.

TSM TV Badass Tournament nominations thread

I think we should keep ryan O'reily from Oz on the list, because I found him to be the master of manipulation in that series. Everyone else would try and take care of their dirty business, and either end up dead or in the hole, but Ryan always had a scheme, a con, a way for someone else to take the heat. He could have been dead on so many occassions but his plans always left the crime unable to be traced back to him. -
Hey now, I grew up on Tuesday Night Boxing.......it was awesome.

Top WWE wrestlers named in SI steroid investigation.

If anything Rey could be an example of WWE and how they want workers no matter what their past wrestling background is and how much success they had before, to basically alter their bodies with poison to fit a certain profile. I am sure Rey would never have sniffed a WWE title without the aid of steroids, and that is a slight on WWE, not Rey. -
Considering RVD, Sandman, and Sabu are all possibly gone after WM(or soon thereafter) what is the point of continuing the Originals/New Breed feud when there isn't even going to be an Originals stable anymore? Why thrust CM Punk into it when he is doing just fine on his own? I know CM Punk isn't really a "star" yet, but he was building something solid until someone in the back decided he didn't deserve any respect and cut the legs out from under him. Even with RVD seemingly leaving, they could easily have the faction be Sandman/Dreamer/Sabu/Balls Mahoney, and it would still be effective, especially considering the fans view RVD as "too big" for this thing as he is outpopping the rest of the entire team combined You can kind of tell RVD is just a part of it to give him something to do before he leaves, otherwise he would/should at least be working his way back up to an eventual title shot.

I don't mean to sound "meh" about this entire thing, but honestly, does any of this even matter in the big picture? Everyone knows Prowrestlers take steroids, because it isn't possible to get that muscularly huge simply by lifting weights. The masses of WWE fans certainly haven't shown they give a whole lotta shit about it considering they marvel at gigantic beasts of men and for the most part buy right into the notion that "muscles = awesomeness" It's not like we are dealing with a legitimate sport with legitimate stats and records. Prowrestling has always been treated as a sideshow by mainstream sports, and this is just another example of why it will continue, because promoters/owners like Vince McMahon don't really give a flying fuck about the health of his roster, he just wants big "larger than life" muscle men to go out and entertain people. He basically wants a muscular circus sideshow. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I am condoning, or even a fan of this type of wrestling or attitude, however I just don't see anything ever changing about steroids in Prowrestling as long as Vince McMahon is in charge of the biggest attraction of them all. Let me further reiterate, if I honestly felt this investigation was going to "clean up the business" or change things in and around the WWE, trust me, I'd be doing backflips as we speak, however this kind of stuff has gone on for way too long when anyone with half a brain and one good eye, and a nose could spot it from a mile away and it never changed anything before. EDIT: Oh and I love how WWE reps reference the Wellness Policy considering that has already been shown to be a joke as it has been modified several times as to protect the golden boys. -
TNA stupidity so great it warrants its own thread

It's funny that when it comes to being anti-WWE and making anti-WWE "shoots" These guys will cater to the internet crowd, but the second the internet doesn't like something, it's "why are we listening to these idiots" -
For a liberal, I guess I am pretty gun-friendly. Besides full-on automatic machine guns or heavy artillary, and with background/criminal checks I can care less if someone wants to own a gun. I do though find it hilarious that a lot of conservatives scoff at liberals when they mention some of the potential authoritarian tendencies our government shows(especially lately), yet when it comes to gun rights they are the ABSOLUTE FIRST people to say, "we needs guns as a check on our government" It's like, "oh you mean that mean nasty government, you say if just a figment of people's imagination" ?

I like pot pies, but I hate peas, I really LOATHE peas, so I usually either make a Pot Pie homemade, or I have to sit there and pick out every pea in it.

WCW did a better job of featuring alternatives to the ME guys, and they did it without a "brand split"

Both Money in the Bank matches were good, which is asking a lot of WWE lately. The concept of MITB is good. The concept that the winner can cash in his oppurtunity at anytime is also a cool concept. My main problem with it this year are guys like Orton and Edge being in it, when they regularly get title shots or at least are involved in the title picture all the time already. IMO, the MITB match should be used to get the best and most over mid-carders over to that next level, with the winner getting the rub, while the rest also are elevated in the eyes of the fans. The problem with the roster this year is you have Edge & Orton who are all over RAW's Main Event to begin with, mixed in with a bunch of other guys who merely fill air-time. I'd say this years match has the least intrigue of the three because of the probability of the outcome.

Me either, well not too much anyway. His loss to Sanders I almost blame on his corner since Wlad was ice cold coming out of the lockerroom, when any common idiot knows your boxer should be warming up and in mid-sweat by the time he enters the ring. Against Brewster, it seemed like conditioning, as he got up and wasn't wobbly at all, just tired as hell. I still don't quite understand that fight, but it would explain why Wlad is way more picky about throwing punches now then before.

FOX News planning right-leaning show similar to Daily Show
NoCalMike replied to DerangedHermit's topic in Current Events
What is this new(er) show on Fox late nights I am seeing, it is like part E! channel, and part quasi-news. It has a host, and then a bunch of random guys and gals sitting around commenting on not so important news items. -
Tonight erased any mild like-ability Lashley grew from the Cage spot the other week. I think RVD was supposed to hold on, of course I also think Thorne was supposed to be eliminated TWICE before he actually was.

THAT is what I thought I was posting. I must have linked the wrong thing....my bad. Thanks for the fix!

Supposedly, these 7 foot giants like Valuev, are "commonly" seen in the Eastern European circuit, it is just that none of them have gotten as far as Valuev has. The dude is a giant, and is a size mismatch for anyone, however when I saw him on HBO he didn't look too impressive as far as skills go and I think WLAD would have a relatively easy time painting the guy with punches. I must say, Wlad looks like a brand new fighter under Emmanuel Stewart and the only thing left to prove in my eyes is if WLAD can take a punch, and what happens if he does get dropped. I know in the Peter fight, he was dropped three times, and he didn't look gassed or lost like he did when going down in previous fights., however nine times out of ten, if you are a heavyweight boxer, you won't have the luxury of getting up from three knockdowns before the fight is called. Wlad is definately born again hard, but the problem is, if you have a glass chin, there is ALWAYS a chance to get beaten by inferior competition.

My Toshiba has one HDMI input currently, and I use it for my upconverting player. If I get a PS3 I am going to get to need a switch cause plugging/unplugging gets annoying, especially if you don't want your cables laid out everywhere.

The Dawn remake was ok. It was entertaining, but honestly, besides the fact that the majority of the movie takes place in a mall, it is nothing like the original. With the short term attention span of people and lack of knowledge of movies made before they were born, I am sure they still could have used the Mall as the main setting without having to called the flick, "Dawn of the Dead"
