I don't understand though, what exactly is the message being sent straight to RVD? If you fuck up once, (AND OUR CREATIVE DEPARTMENT HATES YOU) then you never get a second chance? To me the message is kind of a lot of smoke being blown out someone's ass because history shows that Vince McMahon gives second, and third, and fourth chances to workers that he personally likes and/or wants to push. If I remember correctly, RVD already received his punishment, he dropped both titles, and was suspended and de-pushed. So after all of that he comes back, is still the most over guy on the card, just about the only guy the fans would accept as the ECW champ, and even seemingly starts getting a semi-push again back into the title scene. Did RVD do something AGAIN, to put a halt to it or to fuck it all up again, or is this just a case of WWE Creative wanting to establish WWECW as a Vince McMahon production.....?

Why not? Did you watch any of the 2004 RNC.....15,000 people chanting "flip flop" in unison, wearing purple band-aids, as if they had any care to what the actual issues and/or circumstances were regarding Kerry's "I voted for the war before I voted against it" People respond to sound-bites, well let me rephrase that, the MASSES respond to sound-bites, no matter what they happen to say in a poll or during an interview, and I guarantee there will be plenty of "Obama-Osama-Hussein" sound-bites come election time.

Women died from over consumption of water
NoCalMike replied to milliondollarchamp's topic in Current Events
My girlfriend was listening to part of the broadcast live, and a nurse actually called in and told told them about water asphixiation(sp?) and they kind of shrugged her off saying, "well the chick signed a waiver" -

I wish it is Sandman, and not the guy I think it will be (Kenny)

This was from the smackdown spoilers thread So yeah it's not looking good right now for RVD's future title prospects. Also, if Snitsky is given an ECW title match at WM, I think it might deflate the crowd like we have never seen before at WM.

I think the first few episodes where they have all the shit people on is kind of humorous. Of course after that when it becomes a "serious" contest to see who will be the next generic pop star, I tune out.

WWE succeeded in debuting Monty Brown in the most UNSPECTACULAR way possible, by having a match against a jobber. WOWii! CM Punk vs. Striker...another good match between the two. I'd like to see what they can do against each other on a PPV, in front of a crowd that appreciates work in the ring. Ariel/Shelly Martinez is hot. I really liked the different makeup scheme she had, the less is more approach... The Main Event. Well I knew RVD was jobbing, but it was kind of a job through the heart, because he jobbed clean and at the hands of Lashley, without any help from Test. It wasn't even one of those swerve endings that usually end Triple Threat Matches. RVD, after entertaining the crowd like usual, went out like a job squad member. Right now, it looks like Test vs. Lashley for the Rumble, and I can only hope for RVD to take on the winner(Test) at Wrestlemania, but knowing Vince, he will push Monty Brown too soon and give him the title amd RVD will be sent packing, or just re-up his contract as WWECW jobber.

After watching Superbowls of old, namely before Free Agency and the Salary Cap, it amazes me to hear people think that today's game is a better product. Those old teams DOMINATED on the field. Despite athletes themselves being stronger and faster today, I still think the game itself is not what it once used to be. Anyone else notice that it seemed like before the officials allowed a lot more scuffles and pushing after the play? Now they like to throw flags over petty stuff.....of course these were SUPERBOWLS so maybe that is why there was more resistence.

Oh yeah, homemade vegetable soup is the bomb. Unlike the canned stuff where everything kind of tastes like one thing, homemade veggie soup is awesome because the flavor is strong in each item added....also french bread is great to dip into it.

Three more new faces, making four in total. Wait.....so they are using the "extras from Grease" gimmick(s)?

From the preview it looks like the wrestling is going to be pretty wild and spot-based, my only fear though is that they might expose the business too much by having guys get whacked with all sorts of stuff, go through tables etc....and just get up mere seconds later because they are trying to all of this stuff into a half an hour......I mean if they are having an exploding casket match...that better be the FINISHER, and not just a transitional move to set up a DDT or something....LOL.

Kurt Angle to wrestle for New Japan
NoCalMike replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in TNA Wrestling
I wonder if Angle goes with the flow or complains about guys being stiff, because during his tenure in WWE, he seemed to openly complain anytime something was stiff... -
Actually though, better ratings could always lead to a better TV deal including a better timeslot, and a longer(2 hour) timeslot....which in turn makes the show better, which in turn could help promote PPVs..... It's not worth holding our breaths yet, but if this brings the slightest bit of competition to WWE, then it is a good thing.

Well it is PWInsider, but hey you never know.....I wonder how he debuts though. Do they just randomly bring him out for a match. Is it just a promo. Does he inject himself into the Triple Threat Match!?! Certainly it would be interesting to see HOW he debuts.... I just hope something GOOD for RVD comes out of the title match tonight. I seriously doubt he is taking the title tonight, but at least I hope he is left with either a title shot at the Rumble, or a nice four month chase for the title leading to a win at WM.

Maybe HBK could come out and give some sort of rant about none of today's superstars have the balls to do what DX did in the 90's, maybe make a reference to the superbowl wardrobe malfunction and say ever since then, people have been walking on egg shells in fear of a fine. Then he could introduce Rodimer as a sort of protege, or at least a pet project kind of like the way Orton/Batista were for evolution....!?!

The finish to Raw makes me think they're laying the groundwork for Shawn to win the Rumble, and then the WWE Title at WM. And Shawn not needing anyone to handle RKO might also be a prelude to his turning on Hunter, as per the scenario I laid out in the Rumble thread; Shawn wins the title and then turns on Hunter, only now the catalyst is going to be Shawn realizing that he doesn't need Hunter. Which kind of sucks because in the process they are burying two guys, all the while giving HBK a "rub" he doesn't even need.

Well looks like my Dish Network preview was a little misleading as we just found out on RAW that tomorrow's main event is a triple threat match for the ECW Title Test vs. Lashley vs. RVD......of course, the money bet is on RVD being pinned which will lead to Test vs. Lashley

I never understood the point of these stupid "secrets from the past" storylines......I mean do they think fans care?

It just seems that WWE doesn't much believe in strong heels anymore. First we get Umaga once again being made to look not so much like a monster in his confrontation with Cena, where the ending shot is him laid out "unconcious" then in the handicapp match, HBK takes 8 minutes of punishment yet after his famous kip up, the power of mere clothelines force Edge and Orton to lay around like dead fish while HBK stumbles and bumbles around the ring trying to set up his next moveset....and the post-match crap, yeah that is not a good way to make heels look strong.

It's technically been cold enough to snow here over the last four days/nights but there is no percipitation in the air, thus no snow.....of course where I live, Snow is always a 45-60 minute drive away during the winter, so it is nice to be able to go to the snow when you want, and the rest of the time have nothing to do with it.
