Seconded. Hardly Chyna 2.0. And honestly I don't even remember that phase of her in '03. I think that's right when I started losing interest in the product in a BIG way.

I think sometimes they cave in and pay Jesse the fee. I'm pretty sure they've used his commentary on a couple of occasions before but I can't remember any specific instances.

That venue was the Civic Center in Lowell, MA. It was also the arena where HBK did his "lost my smile" speech, The Rock beat HHH for his first I-C Title, and the one where HHH and HBK did the fake European Title match. It was where Michaels lost his smile, but the Vader/Monsoon thing was in Stockton, CA, the night after Royal Rumble '96. The Lowell Memorial Auditorium really was a great venue for TV. I wish that WWE would run some smaller places like this again but it'll of course never happen unless business REALLY goes in the tank.

I was reading some old gas threads just now from '04 and and one from around Hurricane Katrina. It was strange to see people upset about $1.90 gas. It seems to be going down quite a bit recently. In my area, the average has gone from about $2.85 to $2.65 in the last 2-3 weeks. I was curious to know about other areas. How are the prices in the south? The west coast? Also, I thought I heard on the news this week that the prices may do down to $2.00 this fall. Can anyone verify this? This happened last year I remember, before they shot way the hell up again in the spring. Go.

I still have his appearance on the Tom Green Show (!) from August '03 that I taped back then. I pulled it out and watched it and he did a pretty good interview. Afterwards, he gave Tom Green the pump handle slam at about 3/4 speed. He got himself over with the audience and came across like a star. I'm working on getting up on YouTube if anyone wants to see it.

The last Raw there (other than the '97 one) was shown on 9/20/93, which I'm pretty sure had that match. The WWF did TVs in 1995 from Liberty, NY at the high school and you could see a wall clock from the hard camera.

Yeah, and according to him he came up with the whole gimmick and pitched it to WCW. So it seems weird to hear that someone else was slated to get it.

Fantastics: **1/2 Not bad, as Fulton and Rogers are both interesting guys, and funny also. Nothing groundbreaking, but I like stories about Dallas and the old southern territories. They both also have kept in great shape over the years unlike a lot of guys you see on shoots. Robert Fuller: N/A Made it about 30-40 minutes into it, but he was just too corny for my liking. Maybe I'll go back to it. Sean Waltman: *** Much better than I ever expected. He's very mellow (probably because he was stoned, but hey..) and he remembered little minute details which a lot of guys don't. He respects the business and eludes to how he has become a shell of what he used to be in wrestling. Puts over just about everyone including Bret Hart, Vince, and Jericho. Sad in a way because he seems like a really good guy who got sucked in by bad people. Ole Anderson: **** Really entertaining, not in spite of his bitterness, but because of it. His story of Ric Flair getting the belt in '81 is funny as hell, as is the way he repeatedly calls Feinstein dumb. He had quite a career before the Horsemen and he almost glosses over the whole Horsemen period. Kind of weird how he forgot about Sawyer/Rich and stuff that he booked, but a good guy to listen to. I could have listened for another hour. Greg Valentine: *1/2 Cruise control all the way with no real stories or anything. Valentine obviously had a great career and that is pretty much the only thing that made it worth watching. Steve Williams: ***1/2 A pleasant surprise for me because I knew almost nothing about him going into it. He's much more intelligent and mild-mannered than I thought. He's also very passionate about the business. His stories about Terry Gordy's ODs are pretty hard-hitting. I wish he would have been used better in the WWF because he would have fit very well Austin, HHH, etc. Bill Watts: ****1/2 I'd seen this before but not for several years. Just excellent all the way. Bill is a great guy to listen to and knows his shit. Some good stories of how he got his start in the 60s, Vince Sr., and the fall of UWF. Face Off: Jake/Raven/Sullivan: **1/2 Sullivan is HAMMERED here. Just absolutely trashed to the point of barely being able to talk. This dragged it down a couple of notches for me. It would have been great if it was just Jake and Raven just as the one with New Jack/Honky Tonk Man/Iron Sheik would have been great without Guess Who. Still to come: Konnan

I never heard of him until about 2 years ago, until he appeared on a local morning news show in Massachusetts. He's an unbelievable guitar player and a pretty good singer as well. He has a great, solid rock sound and I'm surprised he doesn't get more exposure. That he's in his late 40s now probably doesn't help, but I've become a pretty big fan. Apparently he used to do a lot of instrumental rock but he's since branched out to showcase his singing voice. Download "Reaction" if you can find it. It's on iTunes for those Honest Johns (like me).

He also mentioned that in his RF shoot, and also thought it was a rib when they asked him to drop it to Backlund in '94.

I think he actually came in around late-October/early-November, but still, it is a stretch.
