  1. The Breakdown.
  2. Doesn't Christian do a Texas Cloverleaf?
  3. I noticed that people almost always kick out of Christian's Scorpion Death Drop, but JR always make it sound amazing when they do. Illogical. I haven't seen anyone do the dragonscrew (?) since the Rock was using it a few years ago.
  4. They chose the Animal shirt.
  5. I didn't mean the WWE style...I meant the behind-the-scenes decisions and production values. In any event, I think the single most wrong decision is not including Paul E.
  6. << even remember Kazarian from TNA getting squashed by kaientai in a tag match on velocity about 4 years ago>> Actually, Velocity wasn't on TV four years ago. TNN was still running Superstars and LiveWire on the weekend mornings. Velocity debuted in May 2002.
  7. But didn't Keller say it was RAW? That's what I thought, but everybody keeps talking about SD, as well.
  8. I still think it's Big Show...
  9. Yea that was quite a pop, funny how 5 months later the demos were ex champs and heels who garnered little reaction and died a slow death(cant believe they lasted till wm7) When you have two guys who are so-so workers and terrible on the mic and they get that kind of pop, you know you have something special. WWF booked it all into the ground.
  10. not getting submissions, was not what devalued the holds. what devalued the holds, was the way angle and benoit reversed them so easily. They'd wrestled each other so often, it only made sense that they had figured out how to get out of the hold. AND there is the fact that nobody or not many others have reproduced Benoit's reversals. I think the point of the angle was that Angle and Benoit were each other's match.
  11. Unless you know the girl, who specifically called herself a "Latina" on more than one occasion, then apparently you don't. What's important here is the tear-inducing shitholing, people.
  12. Steamboat was going to have a baby and wanted more and more time off, and they had justed given him the belt, so in essence, they pissed him off, he pissed them off, so they handed the belt over to their resident Elvis impersonator, who went on to become the longest-reigning IC champ of all time. You really can't choose sides in that one.
  13. I popped in WM6 last night. I fell asleep half of the way through, but did you hear that pop for Demolition's title win? Despite their weak-looking Decapitation on Haku?
  14. Benoit and RVD.
  15. What do you mean?
  16. <<and then he became Oz, and THEN he became Vegas.>> If I remember correctly, in between those two he did a masked gimmick called Dr. X or Mr. X at house shows. His name in the Master Blasters was Steel, by the way,
  17. <<For the Euro title you only got William Regal>> Rene Dupree. Speaking of Europeans, I wish WWE could get Doug Williams.
  18. Batman can be a dick. Huntress is hot.
  19. If good ole JR likes it, then it MUST be good.
  20. I heard that Playmakers was a great show, but NFL didn't like being in the role of the proverbial naked emperor. I saw the set at Wal-Mart tonight for like $34. Is it worth buying and if not, is it so good that it'll just make me yearn for more?
  21. What about Big Show? He is dating Joy on TV, so maybe they got close and started going out in real life?
  22. I read all of the Batman Cataclysm angle when it came out, hunted down every single Aftershock and read most of No Man's Land when I suddenly stopped buying books in 1999. Can anybody tell me who the new Batgirl turned out to be and if she is still doing it?
  23. Bret vs. Austin at WM13 was a great match, but so was his match with Owen at WM10. They were different kinds of matches, but they were both great. The fans probably gave the same amount of emotional investment to either. I personally like the Owen one better because of the story at Mania. He beats Bret only to watch his bro crowned as champ at the end, held up as the hero. In terms of drawing and moneymaking...who knows? I didn't watch WWF from 1993 until 1999, so I missed that period of Bret. I have read some on it and it seems like his feuds all failed, save for the ones with ole HBK and Austin. And possibly Owen. I think it's a tough question.
  24. <<As a Canadian, I LOATHED Hogan>> What I never understood was why he wore the colors of the USSR.
