I don't think the storyline with Cutty balling the boys mothers was meant to bring him down a peg so much as it was used to illustrate how boys raised by single mothers react to a new man entering their lives.

I had Chonan taking it. He was avoiding the big shots well and effectively countering everything along with mixing in leg kicks which helped weaken Anderson for the flying heel hook at the end.

I as well am 'bout it as Michigan would be the closest thing to Montreal in terms of travelling to a UFC event. But man oh man I'd be breaking that vow I made a while back to never set foot on Michigan soil. No offense YNA it just seems that every portrayl of your state is a shitty one.

I mean, yeah if Choi connects with a good shot the world might implode but fuck the rest is some goodness. JZ vs Aoki is for all intensive purposes the #1 LW in the world spot, Azeredo will hopefully bring some game skills to the table before likely getting smashed by 'Jiri, Melendez/Ishida will hopefully establish Gilbert as a Top Five LW in the world and anytime Sakurai fights I'm happy. Akiyama vs Misaki should be interesting because both guys have scratched the bottom of the MW elite and if Akiyama beats Misaki that would be a good year for him on top of the Kang victory. I'm not really liking this so far, gotta say. Not that Forrest and Rampage won't make for an entertaining season but unless they plan on seriously stepping up the talent level of the shows it's likely going to be exactly like TUF VI was. A few solid fighters (A Danzig, a George) with fighters who have good jiu-jitsu or wrestling backgrounds but only one or two pro fights and the majority of the cast having no business fighting in the UFC. And honestly, at a time when 2 (formerly 3) of the UFC's divisions are fucking around with interim title bullshit the last thing they need to be doing is prolong title shots from their real champs. Though I have heard that Rampage's hand won't heal for a while so this is likely a ploy to keep him still active in the fans eyes without having to actually defend the title.

I think the Doug Evans fight both exposed Huerta and at the same time showed his strength in that you can dominate him on the ground but give him the smallest of openings and he's going to make you pay for it. I think Guida sucked some energy out him, Roger looked exhausted in the post-fight interview and as a dude cheering for Guida last night I was a bit saddened with the result, especially seeing Clay with the hangdog eyes. Fuck that shit, to me Guida is 3-1 in 2007 as opposed to what his actual record shows. UFC LW Division in 2007: DA BEST EVAH.
