  1. Dana is going to be making a "big announcement" tonight. Even though it's not confirmed I'll tag it........
  2. Danzig has already said that regardless of whether he wins or loses he's dropping to 155 which makes perfect sense. Any of the UFC's top five fighters would likely house him pretty badly.
  3. This Saturday marks the end of an era as it will be the last time we see Big John McCarthy reffing a UFC event. He'll still be active in the fight game working as an analyst for The Fight Network but Guida/Huerta will be the last time we'll hear "Let's get it on!" in a UFC octagon. Kinda sad, actually. It's going to be weird seeing Herb Dean or Yves Lavigne reffing Chuck/Wanderlei or Hughes/GSP.
  4. He looks like the drummer from Our Lady Peace.
  5. Kawijiri vs Luiz Azeredo is ON. Sweet merciful crap they have three awesome fights so far on this card. Good to see Azeredo back in the mix, sucks that 'Jiri is likely going to pound him into dust.
  6. I liked them scrambled when I was a kid but now I like to break the yolk and dip my toast/bagel/english muffin in it. For me a good egg isn't complete without salt and pepper. Ketchup is optional.
  7. I for one would very much enjoy seeing Bisping get kneed into oblivion by your Middleweight Overlord.
  8. So this post so far hasn't shown up elsewhere and the dude can't cite a source but there's a thread @ BK that claims that we'll be seeing Bisping drop to 185 and fight Charles McCarthy on the London show in March.
  9. I didn't mind the last one. I thought the childrens acting (all four of them) were just fucking awful, particularly the little bitch who played Edwin but I dug Liam Neeson doing Aslan and Tilda Swinton made a good witch not to mention the battle at the end was boss.
  10. Oh no it's actually quite comfortable.
  11. 2500?! Okay, didn't know it was that much. Fucksakes.
  12. Hopefully my parents. X-Mas list, here we come.
  13. ...........................
  14. Eat a dick. Sometimes drama can be valued over fight quality and this one had it in spades. You're coming down for the Finale this Saturday, right?
  15. Your proof that Sherk was lying?
  16. As I type this Sean Sherk is in a CSAC board room hearing the final results of his appeal. I read an interview with Sherk recently where he mentioned that UFC didn't even bother to call him to let him know they were doing BJ/Joe for the interim title which, if true is pretty fucking shitty on the part of the UFC. While I'm not exactly a Sherk fan it would be bad for the business for a UFC champion (especially one with the rep of Sherk) to be suspended for 'roids so I'm hoping he gets cleared.
  17. Oh man, seeing Tito's reaction when the Mexican crowd boos the shit out of him will be awesome. And we'll likely find out through Ken-Flo on commentary that he'll be fighting the winner of Guida/Huerta for a top contender spot in 2008. If Sherk's appeal is denied the winner of that will fight the winner of Joe Daddy/BJ, if Sherk is cleared then the winner will likely be second in line for a title shot.
  18. Ditto. Cash Money N'Olans, AFI and Team OC Argument can probably make it.
  19. It's Tim fucking Sylvia. He wins when we really dont' want him to. And after Nog's performance against Herring I'm not gonnna lie, he didn't look good.
  20. Lil Wayne- Something You Forgot I mean, anything that can sample "What About Love?" by "Roxette" earns my respect. The fact that this song samples it well earns my love.
  21. I doubt Randy fears anything. But fuck if I don't want a Fedor/Nog main event more then Tim Sylvia stuffing Nog's takedowns and jabbing and clinching with him for 25 minutes en route to a UD vicotyr.
  22. Man, re-watching that fight I'm not as sure of the Griffin decision over Tavares as I was when I watched it. Going into the third round it was simple enough as Tyson had taken round one handily and the same could be said for Tavares in round two. Round three could be a draw or argued in the favor of Tavares but I'm not sure how Griffin could've taken it was he was more or less on the defense for the entire round fending off omoplata's, chokes and leg locks not to mention that Thigao was taking him down at will. The solution is thus: after the Gleison Tibeau fight Tyson Griffin has rematches with Edgar, Guida and Tavares.
  23. Anderson Silva vs Rich Franklin II "You get the feeling fighting Anderson Silva that it's only a matter of time." Usually Goldberg doesn't come up with good quotes but I really dug that one during this fight and it couldn't be more true. Respect to Franklin for coming out and exchanging for the first few minutes and doing okay for himself. Then, Silva decides that it's time. Spinning back kick. Clinch knees. Dodging and weaving the kicks and punches with impeccable style. Spinning back fist. Flying knee. Knockdown to end the round. Franklin comes out to start the second and you know it won't be long. The flurry Silva throws at him to finish it is, in the words of Joe Rogan (also describing Silva) is like a ballet of violence. And in the hometown of the man he just beat, Silva shows that he's the classiest fighter going today. Great fucking fight.
  24. Aka Dana's meeting with Randy after Thanksgiving was either bullshit to begin with or didn't go well.
  25. There's going to be pundits around whenever something like this happens but the truth was (and still is) that there are more fatalities in more popular sports . I believe this to be the first sanctioned death so the fact that this "dangerous" sport has gone this long works in its favor.
