That's going to be the truest test of the shows appeal: whether or not it can still appear to be gritty and edgy without any of the benefits that specialty channels provide. If the writers and directors are good enough they'll find ways of getting around the subjects in terms of showing them while still being able to make them seem important.

Checked it out tonight on a co-workers recommendation tonight and thought it was very solid. You can clearly see how Lost has influenced shows that are coming out this fall in the way the plotlines and character's are done. They did a really good job of establishing the story and the main players. WHAT WORKED - Wentworth Miller as Michael Schofield is a great find. Michael has a great way that he carries himself, the confidence but not enough to cross lines or piss off the wrong people. Plus, he's already been involved in one riot and looks to be one toe short come next week so he's starting off pretty hard. - Peter Stormare. This guy is in everything and he's always good. Guy's like the white Danny Trejo. - Like, 5 or 6 shankings in a 2 hour episode is good. If they can regulate a level of 2 or 3 they'll be good. - The girl from The Craft isn't terrible despite me thinking she has been in other stuff. - I like the layout of the prison, it's got a different feel then most other prison-based shows and films. I'll be checking the next one out this Monday to see if they can follow up on a well-planted storyline so far.

I always thought that was part of JFK's appeal.

Foley/McMahon doesn't interest me at all, nor does Foley vs RVD. Foley vs Flair would be forth it for the promo's, however.

I think they're called latkas. It's egg mixed with some spices and shredded potatoes and made into pancake-type things. Really good and if you expirement with different herbs, vegetables and cheeses you can work some magic.

I finally found out today that Foxx is singing Ray Charles on "Gold Digger". I wish I'd have known that two weeks ago as I had a huge argument with a co-worker who insists that it's something Foxx or Kanye wrote for the song. Victory will be mine, albeit a little late.

His words of warmth and caring cut through us all like his awesome punches. -
Let 'em. It's making for some good reading and interesting cuilinary ideas. Ice cream bars dunked in tequila? Brilliant!

So yeah, it's good. I really dig the Gil Scott-Heron sample on "My Way Home" and I'm happy to see Common and Kanye still doing their thing. A Common/Kanye/Legend tour coming around to the ACC would make me a happy man. Really fucking dissapointed in the Game being treated like Nate Dogg on "Crack Music" even though the song itself is fucking spectacular. Little weird that the original version of "Diamonds" is the bonus track but that's probably just Kanye being..........original. Yeah, that's it.

Bums will give you the best directions possible and they're only a quarter! Or less, if you're a serious prick. I have never been led wrong by a T.O hobo yet. -
Calling Game out on his thuggery while having no clue. Bravisimo.

I can't look past the stupidity of it all. JBL is the best going for me right now.

Video Store Perks for Curry #456 I get Lost 5 days earlier then ya'll bitches. Thank you Rogers Video for being lazy and changing the days we get our shipments.

Not too bad of a fight, that was a nice high kick by Melvin and some solid takedowns by Josh. They both seemed scared to capitalize on any oppurtunity they got which hurt the fight a bit. It seemed that they were allowing/encouraging the teams and coaches to get involved more in this one. And goddamn did I love me some Rich Franklin Bible Study.

Wandy is all about the knees and punches while in close and in the clinch and Coture doesn't seem to fear getting hit if he's going in for a takedown so I'd be very interested to see how that match would end up. I think if Randy chose to stay on his feet eventually one of those knees or punches would put him to sleep. I'd still take Wandy's punching power over Randy's dirty boxing. Hey, Wandy and Randy. Now it REALLY has to happen.

Not sure if you got the memo but the concept of legitimacy in hip-hop is all but dead. Dumped on change of heart? Zuh? I could give a shit about rap feuds and if you're buying into it or even paying attention your boredom is well deserved.

Arona never once made any attempt to finish Silva, be it standing or on the ground. The decision victory was clearly his plan from the start as he was quite obviously scared shitless of Silva. If Silva had thrown the flurry at him in the first round that he threw within the last 40 seconds of round two we wouldn't even be having this discussion. I can only assume that Silva figured he'd be fighting Shogun and knew he'd be in for a war. I think they should do Silva vs Shogun for the belt and give Arona a shot against the winner. Arona didn't win the GP, he comes second. While I agree that he deserves the chance to prove that him beating Silva wasn't a fluke I think Shogun deserves the chance to prove he's championship material even more.

I'm not sure what that means but Game fucking rules.

Yeah. The whole thing can get kinda overwhelming at times, I find. They let Newfeld go kinda nuts with the production on this one. Reign it in a bit for next time, if there is in fact a next time. Rumours are abound that the group is going to split for good due to a rift regarding Andrew Whiteman (of Hustle fame) getting all of his songs cut from the album.

Hurricane's are natures way of cleaning up dirt and it doesn't get too much dirtier then N'Orleans.
