  2. Draft results are continuously updated on the first page. Second round draft order will be posted later tomorrow (Thursday), to allow for a seamless transition.
  3. Good argument NYT, but I disagree on one of your points... Well, Lesnar DID give three weeks notice to Vince McMahon, which was twenty days more than Austin did. Additionally, Lesnar still worked his last contractual match at Wrestlemania.
  4. So, once the gimmick eventually bombs, what happens to Dinsmore? There's a good chance he fucked himself over for the next 5-7 years, in the same vein as Sean Morley.
  5. EDIT: Draft results updated.
  6. EDIT: Nothing to see here anymore.
  7. The 18th selection belongs to the New Orlean Saints, who are now on the clock.
  8. EDIT: The Cincinnati Bengals, with the 17th pick, are now on the clock.

  12. Teehee. Mike Williams was rumored to have been at about a 4.75 in the 40 before he just got to a combine specialist last week. Read a good article on ESPN.com about that. Apparently, he's hoping to get around a 4.5 in the USC pro day workouts. I didn't say he was overly fast - just that his position will rely on size and speed over strength and durability, instead of vice-versa, which is why Clarrett WILL struggle. On a side note, Mike is 2 1/2 inches taller than Roy, and 20 pounds heavier. I'd say that being a fan of guys like Terrell Owens and the like, I'd prefer the taller (and stronger) receiver.
  13. I felt the need for a little West-Coast love, especially since Mike torched my Warriors in early September.
  14. With the 8th pick in the draft, the Atlanta Falcons select... .. ... ... Mike Williams, wide receiver from the University of Southern California. The Falcons find a STEAL in arguably the best wide receiver in the draft, dropping down from a predicted "top three" spot to the 8th selection in this draft. Maurice Clarett may suffer from coming out prematurely for the draft, but Williams will suffer no ill effects with a position that relies more on speed than strength. Atlanta already has a strong wideout with Peerless Price (64 rec., 838 yards, 3 TD's) who will relieve some pressure from Williams - something he might not've had going to a team like the Raiders or Redskins. Price, who suffered last year from injuries around him (Warrick Dunn and Michael Vick) and the strong lack of a second option at receiver, will pick up his game this coming season to compliment a strong year from the Falcon's new draftee. Why not draft someone to plug the defensive line, you may ask? Atlanta are content with their defensive ends in Smith and Kerney, with a developing Will Overstreet eliminating the need for USC end Kenechi Udeze or Ohio State's Will Smith. The interior linemen may be a bit suspect, but new GM Rich McKay and rookie head coach Jim Mora, Jr. felt that a weak 2004 class will not address the need to their liking, opting to see how free-agent acquisition Rod Coleman (Raiders) will aid this area of weakness.
  15. I'm doing the write-up for my pick as we speak.
  16. EDIT: Done and done, CV.
  17. And, just our luck... he's not on anymore. Even though there was a PM waiting in his inbox... *le sigh* Let's not wait for him much longer, since we do have a whole slew of picks that could conceivably be made tonight (pinjockey, my pick, APO, Conspiracy Victim, Tyler, Banky and BPS).
  18. 12 hours, unless you're browsing the forums while you're on the clock, which in that case you should choose quickly to move this along. On a side note, the current draft results will be updated on the first page of this thread (the very first post), so it will be easy to find.
  19. Evolution of the NBA lottery...
  20. Too bad, because O'Haire was a guilty pleasure of mine. I don't blame the WWE for this situation though, because I started noticing (through my small cache of WCW 2000 tapes) that his work in WCW never rose above ** (c'mon, a cool moveset doesn't make up for the lack of psychology or minimal charisma), and with his asshole attitude in the lockerroom, it was just a matter of time for this to happen. He regained feeling in his fingers a while ago.
  21. EDIT: Move along now.
