What I like about the crossface is the many ways to slap it on, reverse it, etc. You don't get that as much with a sharpshooter. About Masters, I like him. It has been clear for a while that he doesn't get any respect. WWE has the very bad habit of making their skits/promos way too similar to real life situations and feelings. You can tell that when he is constantly dumped on in skits that there is real animosity there, especially when he is being buried at the same time.

Is Michelle McCool actually gone or just recuperating?

I tried again, got to Target at 5:30, all the tickets had already been handed out - at 5! Crazy. Not too bad though the Target is 15 minutes from me I just walked.

Don't forget Spidey has his Spider-Sense.

ECW will be cancelled. Orton will be pencilled in for a WM slot then removed at the last minute.

WON News + Notes (December 11 Issue)
randomguy replied to The Decemberists's topic in The WWE Folder
Wrestling is more of a spectacle than MMA, at least that is the thinking. Also while I agree that TNA will have to tour, they don't have to keep a WWE schedule. You can do one show a week on the road, or even twice a month. TV allows us to watch wrestling without physically being there. -
Except that a lot of guys have super-reflexes and move at super speed. Football is a physical game and Batman is physically ordinary. Also, what prevents me from taking Kitty Pryde at QB and just running keepers the entire game?

WON News + Notes (December 11 Issue)

Sounds like both Heyman and Vince have horrible ideas. TNA can do well with WWE castoffs. TNA workers might get paid less but they also work a lot less, have a better healthier lifestyle, etc. Quality of life is important and travelling all the time is very draining when you have an office job, let alone a job where you get constantly beat up. Angle and RVD represent good talent, not washed up guys who couldn't cut it in another promotion. -
Pat Burrel - "Holy Diver", Dio Brendan Donnelly, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: "Thunderstruck", AC/DC Cliff Floyd, New York Mets: "Theme from Sanford and Son" (LOL wtf!) Keith Foulke, Boston Red Sox: "Mother", Danzig Eric Gagne, Los Angeles Dodgers: "Welcome to the Jungle", Guns N' Roses Tom Gordon, Philadelphia Phillies: "Theme from Flash Gordon", Queen (Another LOL wtf) Trevor Hoffman, San Diego Padres: "Hell's Bells", AC/DC - this is an awesome song to come out to because the opening is so distinct Mike Myers, New York Yankees: Theme from "Halloween" (someone has a sense of humor) Robb Nen, San Francisco Giants: "Smoke on the Water", Deep Purple Obviously Mariano Rivera has the best theme, because it's awesome and so is he. Worst theme? Jason Varitek, Boston Red Sox: "Kryptonite", 3 Doors Down A "dirt dog" has a 3 Doors Down song as their theme? Please.

Josh Beckett is a guy who flashed potential but is inconsistent and very average over all. Three great games doesn't turn a guy into a great player and 2003 was a while ago now. Since that point he hasn't developed much at all. Red Sox bullpen this year should be...interesting? Best team in baseball for the first 8 innings? Maybe the first 5-6.

Wrestler of the year: Edge - the guy is just fun to watch. Tag-team/Stable of the year: London/Kendrick - not much competition but these guys are good anyway. Best heel: Edge - runner ups are Booker and Striker. Best face: Rey Mysterio - This one was tough, CM Punk has only done stuff in the past few weeks and faces were weak in general this year. Most improved wrestler: Chris Masters - Compared to his debut the guy has come miles. Markout moment of the year: Edge getting the title after the Elimination chamber Funniest moment of the year: Booker T claiming Teddy Long was racist for putting him in a match with Lashley. Worst moment of the year: Anything involving DX Worst wrestler of the year: HHH - because he is the leader of DX and DX is juvenile crap. Best brand: Smackdown - Good wrestling and lots of it, Booker, Benoit, London/Kendrick, etc Worst brand: Raw - Cena, DX, juvenile skits over wrestling horrible main events, too much "sports entertainment." Biggest disappointment: Edge losing the title back quickly and being back out of the title picture.

This thread sucked but the punchline saved it nicely. -
Some message board nerds are having forum-wars with horse-lovers. Whoop de fucking doo!

LOL Mallard Fillmore. Perfect example of 99% pretension, 1% funny. I like FoxTrot, I've always appreciated how the creator actually knows something about modern society and kids. Like the nerdy one will get some video game system and talk about it in a way that actually makes sense.

Gain Ground was also an arcade game. I can beat the Genesis version without losing a guy except on the last boss. The arcade version had an extra-tall screen and was 3 players at once. Really a very neat game and very unique.

LT might be a better QB than Vick.

I look forward to Bisping fighting, the guy has some very crisp standup but has fought only scrubs. Can someone fill me in on Eric Shafer?

Jay Cutler has looked terrible so far. Romo he ain't.

It would be nice to know who exactly booked what aspects of D2D instead of just speculating.

The amount of press on WWE.com along with its tenor really makes it smell like a work. Why would they quote RVD on WWE.com saying the thinks ECW will suck without Heyman?
-
Worst. Tackling. Ever. The guy was running at 1/3 speed and three guys can't get him down? Inconceivable!
-
What the?!? All that just to get a couple yards closer for a FG? Maybe he was supposed to run out of bounds so they could take a shot at the end zone? That was very very strange.

That was pretty well done, the commentary matched the action well. I knew it was over when he got side-control.
