  1. DX with the 7th grade humor yet again.
  2. I like how gay looking Orton's outfit is.
  3. So wait Orton and Edge are the faces right?
  4. If they don't want the wild card to win they shouldn't have a wild card. Anyway, about the As and their defense, they do have a very solid defense. But the As always seem to make these mental errors, including defensive errors, at key moments. I don't know what to attribute that to other than the makeup of the players and the overall tone of the clubhouse or something like that... Obviously the best example of these blunders is Giambi not sliding then the next day Tejada not running, forcing the umpires to call him out. (According to the rules if he had a reasonable chance of making it and was interfered with he should be awarded the base, but because he stopped running he didn't have a chance of making it) and of course there is also the dude who got angry and pushed the catcher instead of touching the plate in what was the stupidest play I've ever seen in MLB. (against the Red Sox IIRC, had 15 seconds to touch home and instead got all angry and shoved people then was tagged out) In the game I watched against the Tigers Payton had a ball bounce in front of him then off of about 3 different body parts (rather comically) and Chavez threw the ball into the stands. They are their own worst enemies. Again it is hard to say why.

    NFL Week 6

Yeah, people have learned how to deal with Vick, and he has probably already lost a step. The big danger for a guy so one-dimensional is that as soon as he begins to wear down a little he has nothing left. He isn't good at reading defenses, he isn't a good pocket QB, he doesn't have good accuracy and he doesn't spread the ball around. He hardly ever even throws to a WR. Once his natural athleticism starts to wane he has nothing left. Guys who last a long time in any sport are guys who are good in different ways. Maybe they lose a step but get smarter. Vick hasn't shown any growth at all, and he stubbornly refuses to change.
  6. Is it just me or does that burger have a slice or pineapple on it? Anyway about the As...another team put together to do well in the regular season. I love hearing Billy Beane complain every year about how post-season baseball is all luck. The fact is the calibre of teams you face in the post-season is different, and sometimes a team geared towards winning in the regular season just can't get it done in the post season. For the As a lot of that is fundamental errors that are magnified. Not sliding, not running, being slow, mental errors, fielding mistakes, etc. Things that don't matter a lot when you are facing a poor team. The Yankees are the same way - poor fielding, average baserunning, average pitching and a lineup that can victimize poor pitching but is much worse against good pitching. The As have a lineup that is ok against average pitching and very poor against good pitching. And while they have good depth at starting pitching they don't have the one or two aces you need. It's like in football in a close game special teams might make the difference, but in a rout it really doesn't matter. In the post-season those small things can come up big. And the As are consistently terrible at the little things.
  7. I assume Rey is taking off for surgery? Also I feel horrible for Conway. How can they give him a gimmick where he complains about not being used when that is exactly how he must feel in real life? Sometimes it's like WWE just hates its workers.
  8. The finale for TUF 4 isn't for a while, and then that guy will need a layoff after the finale, but I suppose that isn't too long for Silva to be inactive. How often are titles defended, maybe once every 4 events or so? Swick or Marquadt would be logical choices after TUF4 jobber. Swick is more recognizable but Marquadt has a better chance of winning. I see Swick going first and maybe Marquadt getting on a PPV undercard as a way to build him up a bit. Of course if Swick loses his next fight then who knows.
  9. Why is Chad Bradford on a new team every single year? He always does pretty well, then is moved.
  10. Wow that a great and awful defensive play.

    NFL Week 6

Atlanta can't win with a running back at QB. It is that simple. I loved watching Vick at VT but in the NFL he just can't play QB.
  12. It is hilarious when you look back at Styles' rant about ECW vs. WWE, "superstars" instead of "wrestlers", etc. A total bait-and-switch at this point. Does it occur to them that by calling it ECW people except and ECW show, and that was originally the entire POINT of starting up ECW again?

Why did people pick the Fins anyway? What did they do to get better from last year? Got a QB who is at most pretty decent and coming off a terrible injury? Harrington just threw an awesome field goal. Too bad that doesn't count for something. Edit: Horrible coverage by the JETS, guy never looked back.

    NFL Week 6

Go for it Jets! Go for it! I like how a 3-2 team that hasn't beaten anybody can be "elite" in some people's eyes. Edit: About KC, Green is out, the line has gotten older and Priest Holmes is gone. They've been driving towards a cliff for a while now. The team got old together, and their defense has never been any good although they pretend to make it over every year.
  15. Amen. Who the fuck buys shit for someone they have never met except in a game, helps them with homework and spends time levelling their characters for them? Jesus. PS: I am a really hot girl who could use $100.
  16. Salaverry. I'm giggling. This is the same Salaverry who against Marquardt just flopped over on his back for the entire fight?
  17. Let's try this again: I got a 1520 on my SATs, and that was before they made the scoring easier.
  18. Yeah, I love seeing the American golden boy that everyone loves get rocked. Especially given that he stubbornly kept saying he could throw hands with anybody - nope!
  19. Looks like Payton should have been deeper.
  20. I got a 1520 on my SATs, and that was before they made the scoring easier. Missed 1 on math and 1 on verbal. I've always been great at standardized tests.
  21. Someone post results after show? Not going tonight.
  22. I blame the Wright Brothers for inventing the airplane.
  23. Fight over?
  24. Anyone mind posting results as they come in? Stuck at work and I don't see a replay on the schedule for later tonight?
  25. I don't know...Taker left strongest. Taker was about to beat Cena clean, who in turn beat the two other champs at the same time.
