I don't think that pitch hit Shoppach, I don't know why the announcers said it did for sure. It sounded like it hit the bat, it looked like it hit the bat, and his hand was not the slightest bit red or bruised. These two-out dinks are crazy. This is what the Yankees have done the past few years though, totally collapsed with their pitching. I don't understand why they used Joba and Mariano last night. I know you want to win one game at a time but at least make the Indians make it close before you blow your top relievers. This game looks bad, even if they can come back who do they have in the pen? Mo for an inning, no Joba, no Hughes. Edit: Stop cheating Shoppach!!

I think Masters of Horror is coming back for a third season, but yes the second season was not very good overall. The show has always been hit or miss but the second season was a lot more miss than hit. Edit: Ugh never mind, it's being renamed and is going to run on NBC. LOL.

Eric Gagne - Yankee ace!

Well the Red Sox sure look like geniuses for the Gagne move. Honestly I didn't really understand that move. Gagne is a shell of his former self and Gabbard looked pretty decent.

What Would It Take You To Stop Watching WWE Programming
randomguy replied to Nate's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm not watching. I feel guilty watching after the recent deaths, and in addition the product just sucks now. Smackdown getting gutted was the last straw quality-wise. -
Keith Olbermann almost exactly predicted what would happen. Another reason he's awesome.
-
The ref thing almost makes me feel better - not wonder the reffing is so atrocious, they are doing it on purpose! In all seriousness, the officiating in NBA games has been a sore spot for a long time and needs an overhaul.

Bill Simmons is not a sportswriter, he's a comedy writer who does sports. He doesn't really know that much about sports, nor does he ever break any news or anything like that. I like his columns and his podcast but he's an entertainer.

Playmakers wasn't bad. I just forced myself to sit through a couple minutes of WHO'S NOW!. What the fuck is this tripe, a giant popularity contest? Isn't that what the ESPYs are already?
-
You guys act like LaRussa has ever been a good on-field coach. This is the man who puts pitchers in to pinch-run so we can all laugh when they literally fall on their faces.
-
I'm really enjoying this game. Maybe because I didn't watch any of the derby or the celebrity softball crap (did they even do that this year?). Not even Fox can ruin this. Edit: David Ortiz likes long walks on the beach and dinners by candlelight.

What the heck is going on in this ballpark? I don't pay attention to the NL much, is this normal?
-
This game is pretty good overall. Some weird plays. The ball that went by A-Rod was strange, I'm not sure if I've ever seen a hop with that much spin on it. It looked like it was going straight then bounced 3 feet to the left. A Fox broadcast isn't complete sadly without some stupid shit like a swimming dog...

I'm going with Rashad, because Tito hasn't done anything impressive for quite a while. Beating up on Ken Shamrock over and over again doesn't excite me.

Now I've seen everything!

They aren't going to win a championship - I suppose it depends on what you mean by "winning now." Will they win more games? Sure. Will they make the playoffs? Probably. Will they make the finals? Probably not. Will they *win* the finals? (You know, the ultimate goal) Absolutely not. The fact is, the Celtics can not win now. They just can't. Their strategy has been to persue younger players who will mature at around the same time and Ray Allen will be gone by the time that happens. West doesn't bother me that much but the #5 pick in this draft is pretty valuable.
-
I'm surprised people like the Celtics trade. Ray Allen was injured last year, and ankle injuries are dangerous for an NBA player. They aren't going to win a championship with this team after the trade, and they gave away building blocks to do it. If the plan is to win now this isn't going to get it done, while throwing away the future as well.

Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
randomguy replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
There really is no point in speculating right now. It's a stupid waste of time. -
Remember when everyone was saying that the NBA was taking over and was far and away the most popular sport? That David Stern was a genius? David Stern was on Dan Patrick and Bill Simmons recently, the podcasts are on ESPN. It was pretty funny, both Dan and Bill brought up some stupid suggestions that didn't make any sense and Stern pointed that out to them. "Oh...I guess I hadn't thought of that!" So I guess, as bad a job as Stern is doing, some of his critics are that much dumber. What explains the East and West disparity? It just keeps going and going. And it isn't like there is a single really good Western team dominating, the best of the East is an average Western team.
-
Ha ha ha I totally saw that coming. At first I thought it was just going to be Vince all sad going home by himself, but then I figured WWE is too faux dramatic for that. I only recognized about 60% of those people backstage, and only a quater of the women.

Snitsky was on ECW for what, three weeks? Edit: LOL poor Smackdown.
-
This is so stupid that guys from the same brand are elimnating each other.

Calling these movies "horror" is really a stretch. There isn't anything horrific about them, nor is there any real suspense. A lot of horror movies these days are just vehicles for cool death scenes and nothing more.
-
Well at least they cracked 30 in the half. Edit: Is it my imagination or are they playing Deam Theater's "Metropolis Part 1" in the arena?

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
randomguy replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
Tito is such a little bitch. He wants a title shot again so fast, when he hasn't done anything in years. He's beaten an old Ken Shamrock and what else? An unimpressive win against Forest Griffin, who isn't anything special himself? If Tito wants constant title shots he has to show that he can beat somebody. If he beats Rashad it will be the best win he's had in years.
